[Q] Stock dialer name display order? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Is there any way to change the order of how the stock S6 Edge dialer displays contacts when they are calling?
I have contacts from different parts of the world with REALLY long names and the last names usually are not displayed when the person is calling.
So, basically, I want stock dialer to display Last name first and then First name. I managed to change the view in the Contacts app, but not in the dialer...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] about full screen caller id

dear friends,
how can i change my incoming calling and outgoing calling picture? it shows just grasses.
is it possible?
thanks...
More info please.
Is it the same as your wallpaper?
What ROM etc are you running?
As far as I know it's not possible. I have a black background, the photo of the person calling and the answer / hang up buttons.
its no problem if i set up the photo for my favorite calls.
but if i didnt add a photo for other contacts it shows me grass photo only. for incoming calls and for outgoing calls.
i will show you if i can get screen capture.
i think i have to change theme but i have just one theme and cant get new themes. i thnik its the problem.
Ahh, so you are just referring to the default caller image when no photo is assigned.
As far as I know it is not possible to change that specifically other than by changing themes, as you say.
yes thats right. default image.
so how can i find different themes?
how can i change default incoming&outgoing call theme on Full Screen Caller ID?

[REQ] Modded Dialler

Would it be possible to alter the way the dialler displays a contact's picture when a call is being made/received?
At the moment, it takes up the full screen and looks horrible if you use the google contact picture.

[Q] Show one number per contact in Messaging

Whenever I compose a new message in the stock Messaging app, when I enter in a name, I get not only their mobile number, but also their email, their house phone, their work, etc...but I only need to see their mobile. Is there any way to make this happen? I wouldn't like to remove the numbers permanently off my phone (some of them I cannot, they are from facebook).
As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to do this through the phone's options.
The only thing that comes close is this: when choosing names from the contacts list, you can specify a preferred number to use for messaging, but this only appears to apply to choosing names from your contacts. Typing in a name will still suggest all of that person's numbers.
Hmmm, ok. Is there a modification to the messaging app that I could use perhaps? Or, if I were to root my phone (maybe), is there some things I can mess with in the apk to disable this?
To be honest, I don't know. There might be, but I have little experience modifying the system apps.
I did a bit more searching on this issue and it appears there used to be such an option in Android 2.1 or 2.2, but it's missing in 2.3. According to the majority of forum posts I came across, the "solution" to this problem is to install a third-party messaging app like Handcent, which apparently does have an option to filter contacts so that only mobile numbers show up.
Also, I poked around in a decompiled version of Mms.apk (the messaging app) and there doesn't appear to be any easy way to change the current functionality. I think the solution lies in changing what suggestions the app returns when you start typing a name (so instead of returning all numbers/emails, it just returns numbers categorized as mobile), but I can't find what file contains that behavior. I'll keep looking, though.
Ok, thank you for looking. Keep in mind that this is a Samsung phone, and I think they install their own flavor of the MMS app. If you'd like, I can see if I can track down an APK (probably from a rooted Galaxy S II Skyrocket) and send it over to you.
And, If I need to use a different messaging app, is there a way to make it blend in as much as it can, like instead of seeing custom icons/names/ads, seeing something like the stock Messaging shortcut/app.

[Q] Strange font input

Hi
My htc One has just been upgraded to Lollipop and I note that all the descriptive text (such as the snippets of emails , unread counts on icons, etc) is showing up as outline only as on attachment. I cannot find a setting which allows me to modify this although I have tried a number of different fonts and also looked for some means of editing on both Android settings and my Nova launcher as well. I'm sure there's a setting I can use SOMEWHERE, but so far I'm unable to find it. Any ideas out there?
Thanks

[Q] Stock Dialer on 551?

Anyone got the Stock Lollipop dialer and contacts working with the 551 that come with Nexus devices or CM?
I have ripped GoodleDialler and GoogleContacts apk from my old Galaxy S4 Google edition rom and made a flashable zip.
Flashed it in recovery and than froze default Asus Dialler.
Seems to be working, but its bit weird.
When you open dialler it's minimized (you can see strange recent calls log screen). At the bottom there are minimised Speed Dial , Recent and Contact Tabs. I need to swipe up to see them
Also when searching contacts the Google id search thingy is not working (like you type pizza and it should find closes pizzas places based on your location...)
And contacts photos are not right - first 30% of photo is ok than its distorted.
I have received and made phone calls fine.
