[Q] Updating GNex from 4.1 to 4.2.2

Its been a while since I've been active in this phone section because I gave my wife my Galaxy Nexus a while ago. She's been complaining about some glitches lately, the phone is currently running AOKP Android 4.1.1. I want to update her to 4.2.2 so I was wondering if I can just flash a 4.2.2 Rom in CWM over 4.1.1, or do I need to update the bootloader or radio first in order for it to work with 4.2.2. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Found my answer after doing some more searching.. i can flash directly over it.

with some rom like PA you will face some problems if you dont flash new radio
i advise to flash new radio and bootloader to be on the safe side.
you will have issues with your sd card. after flashing, move your sdcard data to /storage/emulated/0
-AOSP Rom incompatibility: After supplying all needed hardware drivers, AOSP has updated AOSPA. So you absolutely need to be up to date regarding Google Bootloaders and Radios, which are not part of the Rom. Or else your device will be incompatible, unable to make calls perhaps and maybe other issues.
Regarding Bootloader, it still the same build (primelc03) but the Radio has changed to xxlj1. So you must flash Radio to the latest build using "Fastboot" or through "Recovery":

Wifi can't turn on

My phone can't turn wifi nor wifi-hotspot on since yesterday. I tried to reboot and restore back to factory settings but it was not working. anyone faces the same problem? My warranty has due so I can't send this back to htc.
Android version 4.2.2 stock rom
Please help..

never faced such a problem... if you are rooted you can try a custom rom, or if your warranty is already voided you could try to root and flash a custom rom...

Thanks for your kind reply. perhaps this is the best reason for me to get my phone rooted and flash a custom rom.

Never had that problem..i'm on stock rooted 4.2.2.

Help with current Rom install

Hey guys ok I currently have the Stock ROM Rooted 4.4.4 ( 3.30.654.2) that i just installed to obtain Stock again. Well my wifi don't work anymore? I go to turn it on and it just stays on OFF and is faded. What could cause that? Everything is stock i believe. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I heard its a firmware thing.

^ I read the same thing...if you're s-off you should be able to re-flash the proper firmware for the version rom you're on and fix it.

Cannot flash stock rom

Hello I would appreciate any help with my device. The problem I am having is I can flash no touchwiz roms such as slimbean and CM11 but cannot flash stock non touchwiz roms. I would like to get wifi calling running but my phone just wont flash those roms. I am using the latest TWRP and my original rom was a 4.2.2 rom but it did not have the wifi calling option. I first encountered my problem when I got the phone and tried to root it and install a custom 4.4.2 rom. The flash failed and from there I was stuck on the Samsung logo. I tried to odin back to stock with the nb4, mk2 and mdl images but odin wil not let me flash it I get nand Write start FAIL error. Tried different odin's, cables, ports and still no go. I know I must be missing something but I have searched and searched and every post says it should be working. Please help.

What is the fail message when flashing the rom in recovery?

Are you sure you have a M919, and not a M919V phone?

it says m919 on the sticker how would I know for sure.

V stands for Virgin, talk dirty to it. if it blushes it's a virgin. Lol.
Look under the battery.

Your device is not really a m919....and honestly only mb2 firmware I've ever heard of was actually for the s3 not the s4...there's a bunch of these weird ass devices going around. Both m919 and i9505's. Let me guess you bought it on the Internet?

[Q] WiFi won't turn on after ROM flash s3

I can't find a fix for my s3 anywhere. If I flash back to stock I have WiFi. But once I install a ROM (tried 3) I have no WiFi. I'm on the boost model and this has never happened before and I've flashed many ROMs
Oh and I'm flashing 4.4.4

Are you flashing ROMs for the sph-l710 on an sph-l710t? I'm not sure if all boost s3s are, but all I've encountered have been the l710t. If you do have the l710t, try some of these ROMs: http://androidforums.com/threads/boost-mobile-roms-confirmed-working-for-sph-l710t.893701/
