I purchased a 360 from Best Buy less than a month ago. I updated it to 5.0.1 right out of the box. It has been doing great until 2 days ago. I came home put on the watch. It booted up and was working fine. 30 - 45 min later the screen won't turn on. I thought it just froze so I held the power button for 30sec. Nothing. I tried throwing it on the charger even though it was at 80% last I looked at it. Neither the charging icon or the clock came on the screen while on the charger. I let it sit for awhile anyways. It never did anything even though the charge light came on on the charger. After letting it sit on the charger for 1 1/2 hours I removed to try powering it on. Nothing. I decided to leave it alone for awhile and the next thing I notice is that it is sitting at the bootloader. That is all it would do and only after pulling it off the charger. So today I left the watch on at the bootloader until it died. I put it on the charger and the charging icon appeared on the screen. The watch booted and showed the clock. Once it reached 50% i decided to do a reset just to see if it would fix whatever bug was affecting it. After rebooting I was prompted that I had the 5.0.2 update waiting for me. I charged it to 100%. I ran the update thinking if I am having a software issue, an update would definitely help. I ran the update and it rebooted. Everything seemed to be working fine. I setup it up and strapped it on my wrist. I go to turn on the screen and it wont turn on again. The watch battery was at 96%. I put it on the charger for 30min. When I pulled it off the charger it booted to the bootloader yet again... Is there a fix anyone knows of or do I have a hardware issue?
I've had the watch since December and absolutely loved it while it was working. For the past month, the watch will randomly turn off (without the normal shut down process) and then when I go to turn it back on, it will only show the Huawei logo and then turn back off with a blank screen again.
The only thing that seems to get it to turn back on consistently is putting it back on the charging dock. The watch turns off anywhere from 50% to 80%. So far, I have tried draining the battery to 5% and then giving it a full charge. I did this by "waking up" the watch by putting it on the charger just long enough to boot up and then taking it back off.
I'm also working on a factory reset, but the issue is happening during the re-syncing process (I currently do not have the charger with me) so the factory reset process has been less than successful. Fortunately for today, the watch seems to be turning back on if I let it sit for 5 minutes after it turns off. This made me think of overheating but the watch doesn't feel warm in any way what so ever.
So far I can't find anything on how to fix this except for a forum post on the Moto 360 1st gen having the same issue and that seemed to be a swelling battery problem which my phone does not appear to have because my screen is not discolored.
Is it time to call in the warranty or has someone out there had a similar issue and found a solution. If I can successfully get the watch to sync from the factory reset, I will report back if the issue persists. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
Yeah seems like a battery issue. Had the same with my moto. Let the manufacturer repair it.
The battery just would not give enough current sometimes. The output voltage will drop and the whole thing suddenly goes off.
I hope the hwatch has a better repairability score as the moto with all its glue when the guarantee is over...
So I've read multiple threads with people having a bootloop issue but seem to be overseas with the octa-core phones. Well..I too have this issue. It started last week while I was driving. I looked down after hearing a constant short vibration. I saw my phone bootlooping on the Samsung logo. I just restarted it by doing the home button+power key+ volume up. Went back to normal...for about 2 hours. The phone proceeded to restart itself again 3 more times that day. I cleared the cache and it worked fine for the next few days. Fast forward to early this morning. I'm dead asleep and I am woken up by constant vibration. I thought I received a text or a call. WRONG it was my phone bootlooping again. The phone was charging on the Samsung pad and when I picked it up to try to reset the phone felt HOT. It has never felt this hot ever. I tried to clear the cache, nothing. The phone seems to be in an infinite bootloop and won't stop. I'm not sure how to fix this. Hitting the power+volume down will not shut the phone off. The phone did manage to turn fully on for 5 minutes two times but would go back into the bootloop. I have not tried to root this phone or anything of that nature.
My buddy got his phone the same day as me but has had 0 issues. WTF. I wish I could take a hammer to this phone but I obviously need to keep it nice in order to get the replacement. I am super disappointed that this phone has already taken a poop after only two weeks. I've had nothing but Samsungs for the last 4 years and had 0 issues. Makes me wish I kept my S7 Edge.
Any help would be great.
Let the battery completely drain, easiest way is to put it in odin mode by holding volume down, home and power and leaving it sitting until it shuts itself off, plug in charger and try to boot it back up. If it loops again, let ut drain to off again then boot into recovery by holding volume up, home and power. Clear cache and reboot see if that helps. Worked for my sprint n7. It seems to have something to do with the recent ota update
I have a LG G3 D851 from T-Mobile. I had it from about two years now. It upgraded to Android M about a year ago and now the phone won't charge or turn on. I tried everything. First I tried to hard reset' but nothing. Next I tried refrigeration. The phone would start up and go to homescreen, but then freeze and shut off. I even bought a new battery, but it would still have the same problem. Sometimes tne phone would start and shiw that screen on but nothing on it, and it would also turn on and turn off then show the led flash red and blue. When I charge it, it would show the battery loading up and shut down, then the phone would keep restarting. Like I said, tried every thing. If anyone could help me that would be great.
Thanks

I would start with replacing the battery. It has been a wbile since i have had a g3 but this was a common issue. The batteries were known to bassicly just keel out
The solution is a simple one.
1 remove battery
2 connect charging cable (I am not kidding)
3 power in the phone
4 the phone will try to boot
5 it will fail to boot or maybe it will boot
6 insert battery while the charging cable is still attached
7 power the phone
8 the phone will boot and show 100% battery
9 reboot phone
The next video shows my phone working without the battery...

Hello. Im sure there is plenty of such topics in the forum, but I believe, that my case is specific and I hope we could resurrect my phone somehow together.
So last night I just send a WhatsApp VoiceMessage to my friend as suddenly my phone started shutting down, just like if it had 0-2% battery power... But it actually had over 40% battery life... I thought ok, yeah, might be battery, so I plugged in the original charger and the phone didn't show any signs of being alive. Then I've unplugged charger, toke battery out, plugged charger back in and I saw that its still alive, telling me "please put the battery in, there is nothing inside me to be charged". So I placed battery back to the phone and guess what.... It shows no signs of being alive again, the battery wouldnt charge... Then out of panic I started to do random stuff like holding power button for 10secs for soft restart, holding power button and volume down button for what ever that was... Plugging charger in and out like crazy... The phone was just dead! So I had to give up... I toke the battery out and let the phone lay for like I dont know 2-3 hours. Later on, I came back, put battery inside and tried power button + volume down again.... woohoo!! , it worked, my phone started to boot! I thought this is it! Hes alive again, but ahahaha.... 6-7 secons during the boot, it just turned off immediatly. I thought yeah, must be battery, so I order new, original LG G3 battery... And while the order was on his way to me, I managed to charge the old battery after letting the phone lay for 2-3 hours and then plugging charger in again. It started to charge... I let it go up to 66% I believe and tried to turn on the phone again.... Guess now what? LG intro screen poped-up and the in left corner I just saw something with "boot error blah blah geeky stuff" and suddenly red and blue LED started to blink, red/blue/red/blue/etc... and the screen just turned off.... I couldnt do anything.... So I removed battery again and waited for my order... Next day I got no success turning my phone on with new battery.... I was playing around with different button combinations and remove/put battery and conclusion is.... The phone is dead except if you let lay without battery for few minutes... Then you can start charging battery for example... After that you can try to boot it, but it will just shut down immediatly after few seconds. Or you can try to boot it, but again, it will shut down immediatly and then you cant do anything until you let it lay without battery. I also managed to access recovery mode but I didnt start it, because I would like to get at least my data back somehow.... The phone is not that important as the data on it. I also tried to access download mode, for recovering my data, but without success....
LG G3 D855 Europe version
Lollipop 5.0 OTA version
Not rooted, Not modified
Any help would be really appreciated. If its impossible to resurrect the phone, can I save at least my data somehow? What would I try, please?
[Edit]
I just tried to start factory reset for sake of god.... Found some data recovery software on the internet, that might help after factory reset, but phone just shut down immediatly after I confirmed that I want to reset and nooow.... I see the LG logo like it would try to boot for already 20minutes and nothing happens

Thats what it appears normally when this happens a new battery is most of the time the fix....
Only other recommendations are try different usb cables and charging blocks....
As well as if you did not purchase a legitimate G3 battery I would try to purchase a new oem battery....There are cheaper aftermarket ones But I am one the the stick to oem type To many quality control issues imo...
I know Lg dont have the best track record for quality control either.....
