I'm working on an analog 24 hour clock. Midnight is at the top. Noon is at the bottom. I would like a 360 degree progress bar that goes around the outside and all of the time between sunrise and sunset would be highlighted. I would like for the bar to have 96 total segments because it looks good with the design I'm working on.
I'm not good with coding yet. I'm trying to learn but I have been stuck on this for a couple days now.

is it me or did 2.1 have completely glow free screen night clock.?
i.e the screen appeared full black as if no back lights were on but the clock digits were dull but perfect for glacing at in the middle of the night to find the time without touching the phone.?
since froyo and now gb i don't get the above!
even kn nightclock while is very good the glow is still there faintly.
i just tried the clock on insertcoin v45.
the normal desk clock button just shows the clock on a black screen. the night clock doesnt work as before on leedroid 2.3d. it just fades the whole screen and removes icons in top and bottom bar. you can still see the weather and so on.
if i want a clock for the night i just turn down brightness to lowest setting and use the desk clock.
I seem to have a problem with replacing smaller icons in .apk files and getting them to display correctly.
for example i was trying to turn the power savings bar (quick shortcuts widget) blue instead of green. i can replace the colors in settings.apk/res/drawable-hdpi with no problem and it does change the color but i can't seem to keep the icon smooth.
using photoshop cs2 if i replace color and save with no other changes the icon is not nearly as crisp.
larger program icons are no problem and seem to look very good.
but smaller icons for the buttons such as the screen timeout icons end up slightly blurred compared to the original. this happens even if i select the blank areas first and invert and create a new layer.
im sure it's something stupid a setting ect. im missing but if anyone has an idea id be appreciative.
only seems to happen or be noticeable with the smaller 47 x 47 icons.
doesn't seem to happen on even the 48 x 48 icons or larger.
Hmmmmm seems i found a fix. its a little more work but creating my own larger icon and rescaling down to the smaller size seems to work quite well.
a little more work but at least i get the effect i wanted.
still would like to know if anyone has an ez way to just recolor an image.
I'm running CM9a9 on the WFs, which I use as my alarm clock. I'm just using the default clock loaded with CM9 which has an analog clock on the home screen, but switches to digital when you start the desk clock from the menu on the alarm screen.
My problem is that when you dim the digital clock by either tapping it or after the global dimmer timer kicks in, it switches to a dark blue font on a black screen. My very subtle color blindness makes it appear as nothing but a blank screen from 10 feet away.
I searched through the phone a bit this morning and found the /data/data/com.android.deskclock directory, but the only two XML files buried in there are for the alarm settings. I'd like to find where the colors for the desk clock are defined and change the dimmed font to red or green on black so I can actually see it at night.
Anybody know where that is so I can change it?
Has anyone found a way to increase the clock display timeout? There's barely time to read time, day and date before it dims and goes out after a few seconds.
Also, the clock looks great. It would be nice to have it on display while the g4 is on a table or charging etc
Maybe I've been oblivious since I got my P6P but the quick tiles look different.
I'm still on Build 36 but I don't remember there being 4 small icons on my pulldown.
No...it's just another bug/glitch. Has happened to me a few times now. Restart system UI or reboot and it goes back to normal. I would rather have that with the icons and the labels underneath the icons. Android 12 notification shade is hideous imo.
I'd almost prefer going back to the older style with just the icons and then when you expand it you can get the new wide buttons.
