[Q] Rheosoft Ram Expander - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought this application 2 years ago using my LG 4X HD. It dramatically increased my multi tasking capability.
Im on rooted Z00A-2.15.40.13 and having a Class 10 UX 64GB SD Card. Will it works on my Zenfone 2?

[Q] MicroSD cards ?

I'll use a 32gb card to store games and HD videos (HD and full HD) + record HD videos with the arc, so which class and/or brand is good enough ?
Thanks in adv.
I have tried many different makes of card non branded, Samsung, Kingston, san disk..... The only ones that didn't lag was the san disk.
San disk don't do class10 think maxim is class4.

I have a Transcend Class 8 mSD Card in my Milestone for 1.5 year now and it works great. Personally I believe they are all the same, more or less..
(When you compare mSDs of the same Class)
I'd like to know which class is good for HD recording and full-HD playback as well
The highest class you can get. Because the write/read speed is important. The class 10 is the highest (as i know)
From my sexy LT15i
I have a Samsung Essentials 32GB Class 10 microSD running perfect in my ARC
Patriot 32GB Class 10 here
Running perfect

Remember that you also move apps to the SD card, either "android way" or to a partition in the SD card and that needs fastest card you can.

This really should go in the Q&A forum, but ... Samsung makes microSD cards. If those aren't "compatible" I wouldn't know what else could be.
Actually just about any class 10 memory card will do.
Yeah pretty much any Microsd will work on the note2. Choose Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, Adata etc

I recently bought a 64 gb class 10 san disk micro sd card...it says ...they are the fastest...but hey...i am over happy with it...just installed the ex2sdinternal memory script ...it simply swaps your memory...e.g...my internal memory is now 64 gb...and my sd memory is 16 gb ....nice?
Now i can install any big gameloft and ea games without worring about directory bind and there freezes and force closes...
I really advice you to buy a 64 gb...it is cheap..i bought it with a adapter for 55€..it should be 70-75 $ max.

Is class 10 really important ?
Speed class corresponds to the burst write speed, which is important for devices like high end cameras. Since I have a class 4 and have no problem filming in HD, I suppose it isn't a necessity for the Note2.
Maybe more important are the read speed and IOPS (for small files) but I don't know where to find these data.

Questions arise not energy efficient using the battery in the Chinese version of the device Samsung GT-I9192 Galaxy S4 Mini Duos 8GB
1. Is there a difference in the speed and efficiency in sets of memory chips between 8GB vs 16GB version
2. Is there a difference in the sets of memory chips or other components of the China 8GB VS Korea 8GB, there are reasons to believe that they could do worse in China, bad components used to reduce the cost?
3. Which application for Android can I find out what kind of memory I installed?

Hi! Could you fill the available space? Thing is it's always normal to read sd cards even with high capacity but some phones tend to become unstable when the storage space is getting full.
My old 64GB card is full, had it in my GS3 before my Z1 and never had any problems with that. I will report back if I get any problems once I've loaded more onto the card.

I also have SanDisk 128 gb, my old SanDisk ultra 64 gb, an Extreme 64 Gb and a Extreme Pro 16 Gb. All I can say is that there is no one better than 16 Gb Extreme Pro SanDisk Cards. I like to have 128 gb of storage but 16 Gb Extreme Pro is at least 3 times faster than any memory. I have had write speeds of up to 104 Mb/s when transferring files from my Pc on a USB 3.0 port. The bad thing is the price. 16 Gb Extreme pro card is as expensive as(at least) than a 64 Gb card and there is only 8 and 16 Gb available at the moment. When I ordered my 16 Gb Extreme pro I paid about $95 Usd and now I paid $105 for my 128 gb card.

i agree extreme pro better any micro sd cards but 16gb too low for me i checked extreme plus cards but those cards ve really low performance so i ordered 64gb extreme. Well Extreme pro 64gb ll be awesome but as u say 95$ 16gb so possible price 360-385$ so this s too expensive.

I assume that was the main reason Sandisk didn't make 32 gb and up. But now you can buy an Extreme pro for under $40.

However, I would like to see in near future Micro SDH(X)C II in UHS-3 with 250 Mb/s and more. SD cards have up to 400 Mb/s and most of Micro sd are on 30 Mb/s.

The card has been running at around 105GB (14GB free) since my last post to this thread
Around 75GB music, 3GB photos and 22GB movies, the rest is odds and sods
The music and pictures were loaded externally in my pc, the movies were downloaded to the phone
I'm not a gamer so I'm not saving game data to the card.
The point is that my usage doesn't involve writing to the card from the phone very often, just when I use the camera or download email attachments or other web downloads, so I might not see the sort of instability you mention.
Got my Z2 this week so I have swapped the card into that. Again no problems so far.

Is 128GB microSD supported or not?

Hi,
I want to buy 128 GB microSD card for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. I have heard, that on Android 4.3, max supported card capacity is 64 GB, and when you have Android 4.4 you can uset cards up to 128 GB.
That's why I am asking you. Do you have Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition running 128GB microSD without issues? I expect non-rooted devices
Thx for reply

Yes. Using 128gb micros with no problems.
I'm also using a 128GB microsD card on a Note 10.1 2014 without issues. I'm rooted now but it also worked when I wasn't.

Theoretically we should be able to use up to a 2tb sd card, if one existed. As long as it says sdxc or sdhc on it it will work.
sdhc is 4 to 32gb and 64+ is sdxc format. 128gb is sdxc...
For people prefering a specific model name: I just inserted a SanDisk Ultra 128GB (one of the current black ones: SDSQUNC-128G-GZFMA), formatted it in the tablet and am now having over 100GB space (what should I ever put on there...? )

I have music, videos and work files not to mention pictures... I have around 4 - 5 gb free most of the time but find it VERY easy to fill up.
I also have rom images too and a backup of my device so it is easy to fix if things go wrong...
I use a Samsung Evo 128gb sd card.
On a side note, if you do get Kingston cards be aware that at one time there were "128gb sd cards" floating around but they said sdhc on them, NOT sdxc. These are fakes... As I said above, anything 64gb and above are sdxc...
It does work!
I just tested, bought a kingston micro sd and the tablet recognized it without a problem
I will be using it in a note 3 though
