Hi Guys,
I was trying to root my Desire Z (originally running 2.3.3) and managed to downgrade in order to try and install Android Revolution.
EDIT: Fixed! Installed a different custom ROM and all was well. Apologies!

Hi,
I have a HTC One M8 and I recently updated it to 6.0 Marshmallow.
I found some problems with the emojis but I can fix it. However, to fix it, I need to root my device.
Can anybody tell me how to root my HTC One M8?
I am using a MacBook Pro.

I rooted my phone an year back I guess. I installed the CWM recovery and SuperUser. I did this after I installed the lollipop OTA update. Now, I want to install the Marshmallow OTA update and encrypt my device so, I wanted to unroot it.
I found other threads, but they were all for HTC Desire 816 running on Kitkat OS, I am kind of nervous that they will brick my device. If someone can post a link of the Stock Recovery (suitable for my situation) and the steps (detailed ones...please ), he/she will get a super-hug from me.
