I've had the s6 edge for a couple of weeks and I love it but I'm noticing I'm having extremely slow data speeds. I had an s4 before I got the edge and I was easily getting up to 30mbps but now on the s6 I'm lucky if I even get 3mbp. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I contacted tmobile and they just try to convince me to upgrade and get more data I already have 3gb and don't even use them all. Thanks any help is appreciated
It only happened when most of the people are using an absurd amount of data (like 15 or more GBs).:good:

I have been getting very slow data speeds from 3g while almost all phones around me have been getting much higher, on the same network.
I first realized this when a friend on mine was getting speeds of >1Mbps while I was getting ~350Kbps. This was farther backed up while in a Verizon store. I tested the 3G speeds of 3 or 4 phones in the store and also tested mine. They were getting ~1.4Mbps while I was only getting 350-400Kbps.
Something is definitely wrong here. I have changing radios a few times, however I'm still getting slow speeds. Honestly I don't know exactly how long this has been happening, but its been a while. I don't know what else to try and these slow speeds are really inconvenient and make things a pain when not on wifi.
Is there a way I can tell if I am being throttled?

Had the S3 for about a month now and love it. Until about a week ago my 4G speeds here in Seattle were great. Averaging 4-12Mbps down and 1-3Mbps up.
However, in the last few days my speeds have been all over the place. Sometimes I'll have 40ms ping and a 12Mbps download speed. 10 minutes later I'll have a 500ms ping and .5Mbps downloads. And it isn't just the Speedtest app. I only run the tests when I notice a website is incredibly slow to load or Google Reader is taking 30 seconds to refresh (it usually takes about 4 seconds).
I called T-Mobile worthless support line who basically said "restart your phone". Ugh.
Anyway, I'm not rooted and not terribly interested in flashing a new ROM (stock is running fine for me).
I came from Sprint where they could run profile updates if you were having data issues. Does Tmo have anything similar?

Not here to answer your question but I'm on the edge of leaving sprint for tmobile for this phone....would you say your experience has been better?

Much better than my friends who are with Sprint. I get around 20Mbps download speeds on average everywhere I have 4G (which is just about everywhere).
There's been some thread popping out with slow data speeds, might be T-Mobile doing something with their towers.
I'm experiencing the same issues.
I'm having the worst problem getting fast internet. I have the infamous rom installed with the Bioshock kernel and I have been experiencing 4.5 to 10 mbps. But recently for the past couple days I'm only able to get around 250 kbps. I've done a lot of research and searching and I can't find any tweaks or settings that might help me is there something I'm missing? My speed test results are terribly slow and also are my download and upload speeds.... Is anyone else experiencing this kind of slowness. Admittedly I use a lot of data but I'm on the unlimited data plan and I'm in an area which supposedly has really good reception in Lakeland Florida any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Have you checked with your carrier to see if maybe they're doing work in your area? Is this in a certain area or all over the place? I get slow down here and there too. I usually give it a day before calling to check, most of the time it's back to normal before that.

I've clocked 40mbps on 5ghz wifi n.. it's not the phone, its the connection. infamous alpha rom
I came from a nexus 5 to the edge. Ran speed test in the same spot of my house I usually spend my time , and I always ran about 15-18 MB download on 3g/hspa+ on the n5. On the edge I get about 5 on 3g/HSPA+ and forget about LTE.. It was below 1mb... On the n5 I got about 15mb but the signal was less than just 3g hspa. Worked for.me cause it was faster and saved me battery. Anyone else experience the drop in speed coming from a different phone ?

I wonder what it could be ? Maybe old radios ?
Im on ATT getting really low speeds too, even on wifi. I think my (Spigen Neo Hybrid) case was interfering because once i took it off it got a little better.
Hey everyone, hoping to get some clarity.
I recently join Verizon Unlimited business plan hoping for better signal and speeds. I can agree that I have better service however my speeds are horrible. Ranging from 1-3 at most. I come from att using the same phone and data speed and website loaded much quicker.
Wondering if anyone else experiences these issues or just me.
I need some tips or things to check or try to maybe fix these issues.
