can't re-unlock my bootloader plz advice. - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My bootloader is re-locked. Now i want to unlock it again but it always gives an error stating "Failed (phone is already rooted)". I have tried with flashtool and cmd-fastboot method but the result is always the same. In service menu bootloader unlock allowed says yes. Is there any alternate way to unlock bootloader once again? I can't seem to find this error on Google so am really confused what to do.

[Q] unlock bootloader logo

I will receive my galaxy nexus few hours later and plan to unlock my phone. Is there a way to hide the unlock logo after I unlock the bootloader or Can I unlock the bootloader, then root the phone and relock the bootloader after to clear the logo but still get the root access. If yes, then how to relock the bootloader?
fastboot oem lock will re-lock the bootloader
But will I still get the root access of my phone after I relock the bootloader and will the unlock logo disappear when boot up after I relock the bootloader?
p.s. It is retail version
why do you need it locked?
I don't like the unlock logo at bootup and the warranty detail only state that I will lost the warranty if I unlock the bootloader, so relock it in case I need warranty, it may cheat them
so then you relock it if you need to. Development for this phone is very young right now so you'll likely be doing alot of flashing. I flash different rom/kernel combinations probably 3-5 times a day with how often things are updating right now. Besides the little unlock symbol is pretty awesome
I know the development is young, that's why I post this. I just need to confirm
1) Is it possible to relock the bootloader in retail version
2) Will the unlock logo disappear after relock
3) Will the phone can still get the root access after relock the bootloader
Thx very much and please reply me if anyone know!!

1) Yes, "fastboot oem lock"
2) Yes
3) Yes, while "fastboot oem lock" does not touch any of your data, "fastboot oem unlock WILL delete all your data. None of these processes can remove root access, the only way to remove it is to reflash the system partition, either by flashing it manually or through an OTA update.
Thx Thx Thx Thx very much

[Q] Trying to unlock bootloader, fails (too many links) and stays locked.

As the title suggest, I'm trying to unlock my bootloader but every time it fails because I have too many links. No idea what that means, but the more severe problem is that with other users the phone will be unlocked, but mine is still locked.. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Unlocking Bootloader?

Hey,
I have a rooted stock Xperia Play R800x, but when I try to unlock the bootloader I get this error:
Code:
(bootloader) Unlock phone requested
FAILED (remote: oem unlock failed!)
finished. total time: 0.016s
Is there any way to fix this?

When I unlocked my bootloader about a year ago.... I used the Official Sony Bootloader Unlock method and it worked for me. If you haven't found it already, then you can find it here ( http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/ ). Some people also say that they used Flashtool to unlock the bootloader, so you might give that a try if you'd prefer that to the official Sony method.
I saved the bootloader unlock instructions that I used last year from the Sony website, and there was one important step to pay close attention to-- When going through the steps to request the unlock key from Sony, it said - "Enter your name, a valid email address and the first 14 digits of your device’s IMEI or MEID or IDID number (remove the last digit if necessary). Click submit." It was important to only enter the 1st 14 characters of the IMEI when submitting for the unlock key... Also, I read in some other XDA posts that you need to make sure that you use all CAPS on any letters that might be in the IMEI code...as it apparently can cause you to get a bad unlock code if you don't use all CAPS. After you submit this to Sony, they will email you the unlock key.
The last step of the Official Sony Method says: "... If you still want to unlock the bootloader of your device, enter the command *fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY, where KEY is the unlock bootloader key that you got in the beginning of this instruction. The bootloader should now be successfully unlocked." Make sure you are copying the fastboot commands exactly... including the lower case x that comes right before your unlock key.
You may want to try to go through the steps again with the Sony Website to see if you get a different unlock key by trying the above tips. Then try to use the Official Sony method to unlock the bootloader, or try Flashtool to see if that will work.

Thanks for replying. I've already tried the official Sony instructions twice, and the Flashtool method once. That led to the error. Is there still a way to fix this?

From the research I did, these were the most common reasons I could find for the error you're getting. The ideas I shared are all I've got. Maybe someone else will have some other suggestions. Good luck.

Bootloader LOCK..No Recovery..cant boot..HELP?!!

After tried to install stock rom on my pixel2 xl, i locked bootloader.
Now, i cant unlock bootloader because i cant boot and check oem unlock.
When try to boot into recovery, and boot to android, just appear message "can't find valid operating system"
What to do?
I tried unlock bootloader from adb, and get the message that is not allowed in lock state
Everything i can is boot in fastboot mode.
Is there any possibility to unlock bootloader without check OEM unlock, because i cant boot anything?
Please help.

Why did you lock the bootloader anyway?? If you can't get to the OS to check OEM unlocking and USB debugging....your hosed as far as unlocking the bootloader again. And since you have no recovery now, you can't side load an OTA to get your OS back. Might as well RMA it I'm afraid
Please people, read this and understand me clearly...
Unless you have a very very VERY good reason to relock the bootloader. DO NOT. The risk is too great for no reward.
This is the second or maybe the third post this week alone where someone may have hosed their phone doing just this...
I'm not here to hammer the OP but folks gotta understand.
