I made this from a bunch of my technic Lego collection, has a elastic loaded bottom clip for the phone, has elastic loaded ds3 gamepad clip, is NFC tag equipped, and light and small
Perfect for android gaming with sixaxis app from play store
And im going to see how much it would cost to buy each separate piece from one of the brick seller sites
Once I have every piece priced, I'll provide the bill of materials and detailed build progress pics
here are some new pics showing everything assembled
my oneplus portable gaming gear
That's cool! Good work
Nice job what's the tag for?
Enviado desde mi A0001 mediante Tapatalk
The NFC tag is to tell a tasker profile to turn on BT(if not on already), connect to DS3 game pad, and start an multi emulator launcher front end apk..
But seeing as my beloved bacon has gotten itself a trip to the grave... I've now moved on to a note 3 until I can afford the bacon 2
I will still be uploading parts list and such as I get the time with a 12yr old autistic son and 10 1/2mth old son, plus a pregnant wife, so bare with me and I'll also be making one for my note 3 as well which I will link to here

Greetings,
I'm an Android newbie and just got my Galaxy S2 last week...
Consider me being a video game-o-holic you can understand why I developed a sever case of finger spasms/reduced manual functions over the past few days
I wonder if someone tried one of these "GAME CONTROLLER GRIP / GAME PAD CONTROLLER" seen at eBay (mostly for the iPhone though...).
Is there something suitable for the SG2 as well?
Perhaps the iPhone models can be modified for the Galaxy !?
Gal
(I can't post direct links yet..sorry...)
i think one is icontrolpad, not sure who makes it but seen a few youtube vids , there's another type i forgot the name
iControlPad will work, but I don't think it can grip the SGSII (despite having a couple of sizes of side-grips). The other one is the Phonejoy, I have one, works great (although only the emulators and Gamevil titles will work with it, enough for me, but perhaps not others).
Actually - I've been looking for a more "passive" controller similar to the images I posted.
It's probably no more than "ergonomically" designed cover for the phone, hence, fully compatible with any game/app - especially in horizontal mode...
Its cheap and seem to make playing more comfortable then holding a bare phone...
BTW - looking at the "Phonejoy" ... I couldn't help myself thinking its probably feasible to utilize a more "universal" solution to work with other ,commonly available, BT controllers - perhaps with few bits of code trickery from an XDA wizard
!?!?!
Wouldn't it be cool?
Did I miss a similar existing project?
Gal
You could try this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Making-a-Nintendo-SNES-controller-into-bluetooth-/
Basically, the guy took a BGP100's innards and interfaced it with an old SNES controller. Apparently it works quite well, and it seems he takes orders for building one for you.
iControlPad has a set of rubber sides coming soon that converts it into a plain Bluetooth controller without the clamps to hold a phone. SGS2-sized clamps aren't available yet.
Not quite sure what you meant by "passive" tho.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know that info about the iControlPad? Anybody here tried the iControlPad with a SGS2?
BTW I contacted the Phonejoy dealer, and apparently he is hoping to be selling a new model based on the PS3 controller (IE: with added analog sticks) early next month!
That info is available at the iControlPad website.
Hi guys. I am really interested in buying one of these.
http://www.dodgybastards.co.nz/bluetooth-keyboard-case-for-10-1-galaxy.html
I was wondering if any of you guys own this? If anyone does would you mind giving me your opinion on this case?
There seem to be next to no reviews of this case out there whereas there are a lot of reviews about the zagg and Logitech cases. Unfortunately those brands oonly sell cases for ipad here in new zealand. Thanks
I own this and am quite happy with it. Looks good and the keyboard is a joy to type on.
Two things I'm not very happy about are weight (unavoidable, I guess) and, mostly, that there is no way to use it with the tab in portrait mode. Oh, and I think it is a tad too expensive.
I would have bought the Logitech, if only I could. For the portrait mode. But I don't at all regret having bought the Samsung.
You can see the thing in action on Youtube (mind you, in Italian). I was going to post the link but, as a new user, I can't. Search for "Tastiera originale Samsung per Galaxy Tab 8.9 e 10.1"

thanks for your reply mate, really appreciate it. yeh its a tad expensive isnt it, thats why I wanted some opinions before buying it. I never use my tablets in potrait mode, unless I am reading a comic which is very rare. the 10.1 just looks silly in potrait if you ask me lol
Also, I usually prefer to have it on my lap rather than on desks, does the stand sit stable on laps? because the stand kinda looks weak and unstable. I know it'll be fine on desks and tables but does it slide around when in your lap?
The stand is indeed very flimsy. OK for a table or desk, provided we don't push or pull the keyboard. As for a lap, I hadn't even considered it. Well, I just tried and... no. Absolutely not.
It is sort of possible to forget about the stand and leave the tablet flat. Requires one hand to hold it or it will hit the floor in no time. Not practical at all.
After I bought the Samsung case, I saw a Logitech look-alike on Amazon UK. I wouldn't really risk buying one now because: 1) I already own a very nice keyboard case, and 2) the only sellers offering it have appalingly low ratings. Still, if it works as advertised and one could find a reputable source...
Again, no links. But try searching for "Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Aluminum Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab10.1"...

thanks bro. yeh i think i will wait like you said before buying one. i am just really annoyed that ipad has so many accessories whereas I cant find a decent keyboard case which can sit on my lap. cheers for your replies!
I got one from Amazon real nice Fuax lwther with built in Bluetooth Keyboard. I paid $47.95 plus shipping about a month ago but just went to get the link and its on sale for $39.95.
this works perfectly.

hey thanks for the link bro. I've owned similar cases for other tablets before and I really dont like the rubber keyboards on them.
oh and I went ahead and bought the samsung keyboard dock instead of the keyboard case. the dock is great. since it has got the 30 pin connector, the tab slots right in and you dont have to worry about it falling. and most importantly the dock sits stable on my lap and I can type just like a normal laptop. it doesnt move around. I really like it
omg that one is too expensive dude..
maybe you can check Apple bluetooth Keyboard.. quite good man. it's light, good materials and 100% compatible.
Logitech bluetooth keyboard is a very good choice aswell.
good luck bro.
I have the Zagg case and it is pretty great. I also have the Samsung white keyboard which is almost perfect except that it will revert to the Samsung on screen keyboard after using it . This is a pain since I use touchpal.
The new OEM keyboard case looks handsome but not as useful as Zagg.

Thanks
this case looks indeed awesome guys. but the price wtf....
its just a keyboard with buildin bluetooth and a case!! ok its oem but who cares, not worth the money i think.
for a -50% offer i would buy it!

Yes, it can. There's four little rubber stops that keep the keys off the screen when closed that double as feet when fold the keyboard under the way you described. And while yes, it's pricey, it's the slimmest, best fitting, and best made of the keyboard cases out there.
I purchased the official case cover a few days ago from Samsung. I am shocked about how few reviews there have been online. I could not find a decent video review. I am hoping that the build quality is decent, as my Zagg keyboard (Zaggfolio) broke - the space bar no longer works. I will probably take the replacement keyboard they sent me and sell it on ebay.
By the way, I saved 15% by using the coupon code: Samsung#1 on the Samsung.com website and got free next day air shipping.

Here is my review of the Samsung OEMKeyboard case.
Pro's
Very light, form fitting, well designed. Easy to type on.
Con's
No touchpad, no sd port, no built in battery, pretty expensive, cannot really use effectively in the portrait mode.
Overall, this is clearly superior to the Zaggfolio. .. but pales in comparison to the Asus Transformer keyboard (which is the same MSRP).

Just got this case today and I must say I am completely happy with this purchase.
It literally turns your tablet into a laptop.
Duqjag complains about not having a touch pad however the entire screen is a touch pad which would make a little square panel obsolete and difficult to use.
My only quarms with this keyboard is the left shift key being so small that you'll find yourself with a lot of \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ on your screen when trying to capitalize a letter.
Also if there were a way to make certain trigger keys customizable this would enhance the experence too. e.g. the mail button opens the mail app as opposed to the google mail app. Internet button opens the stock browser as opposed to Opera or dolphin.
It stands up on almost every surface without issue and if you fold the keyboard over it also acts as a bottom panel to keep the screen in a face up position.
Vertically it doesnt work but do laptops????
Fork out the cash I say and enjoy the ride. As tablets get better internally, 10.1 will still be a dimension samsung keeps using so i can confidentally say that this case will be transferable to newer models.
Hi,
I've got the Samsung BT-Keyboard-Case here in Germany for a really affordable price - 57,- €, and it is worth every cent. The look and feel of the case is noble, but durable, and when I carry it arround here at my college the I-Thing-users get possessive.
It has a built-in recharable battery which lasts for some 3 days. I use it flipped over as a night stand at my bed, listening to Tune-in radio, I work with it every day, and the cover protects the case perfectly.
The only con is that it doubles the weight of the pure tab, but I really can say that I am happy with it and would always buy it again.
I am looking for keyboard as well, want something nice, shineny neath, but inexpensive. (Not sure it does exist )
Are those aluminum bluetooth keyboard on ebay and amazon so useless? Any suggestion pls.
If i can not find any good review on those no brand keyboard i might have to buy logitech and it costs fortune

I'm glad everyone likes it so much.
I would consider selling these but I would want to find a better mount first, something with a smaller base so it could be attached to an assortment of controllers (sixaxis, snes, n64, wii, etc.). If anyone has that sort of info I would like to see it.
I'd say it would be about $50 for labor and shipping excluding materials. It's not really worth it IMHO because it is easy enough to make with just a Dremel and a soldering iron (if you want to shorten the usb cable like I did).
Also some differences in a new version would be
1) Use a micro b connector straight out of the controller (rather than go full sized usb down to micro b which is pretty bulky) and make a custom cable for use with a laptop/360.
2) Add charge port inline.
3) The area where the headset connects to the controller has a gap in the case due to the button head screw pushing it out. A smaller base would fix that.
4) I would like a mount specifically made for my Gnex just to make it look a bit cleaner.
That is pretty awesome.
do you have a link to the dock you used?
Sorry I don't I just happened to find it around the house. I am sure most of them will work exactly the same though.
Just looked into it. Apparently it is a generic brand, I found one on Walmart, looks identical to mine. Just put that at the end of the Walmart site to find it (to new to post links sorry).
/ip/iWave-IA305-Universal-Car-Vent-Mount-Holder-for-GPS-and-iPod-iPhone/15676029
That is freakin epic
WTF that is amazing. Wow.
This is really amazing. I'd like to reserve one to order when you've got the details worked out.
Awesome!!!!
Greets!
For those wondering about price here it is. Unfortunately the cost got pretty high as I was sorting out the parts list
One of them is an OEM Microsoft controller and a MUCH nicer mount.
The other is a knock off 360 controller with the same mount I have on this version.
Unfortunately the cost is pretty high since they are hand made. About $60 for the cheap one and $90 for the high end one plus shipping.
How about if you didn't include the cost of a controller presuming its not permanently attached and we use one at home?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I had just been getting a lot of PMs about pricing so I wanted to clear it up.
Instead of permanently mounting the controller, how about designing a suction mount or a clip-on mount? That way people can use whatever controller they like and it won't be included in the costs.
Hey Guys
I'm going away to Malta soon (lucky me) :highfive: and I wanted to invest in a tablet bag to carry my stuff onto the plane with me and when I go walking around Valletta sight seeing.
Looking on Amazon I haven't found a decent case that claims to fit up to more than 10.1" tablets, I also have the Samsung Book Cover on my tablet which would add a bit extra bulk. I also want it to carry my phone Nexus 6, 1 Charger for the Tab S, A quite hefty battery pack, Six Axis Controller (for my gaming on the go ), Very small bluetooth keyboard and mouse and lastly some extra cables like USB OTG etc...
The best one I have found so far is this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/messenger-t...TF8&qid=1437638802&sr=8-5&keywords=tablet+bag
I also found a review that said it fitted someone else's Tab S. Though I'm worried as mine has the Book cover on it. I don't want it to be a big bag like a laptop one as I'll be walking around with it a lot.
Could you give me recommendations on tablets bags and which one's you guys use? Or if you have the bag in question could you tell me if it'd fit with the Book cover on it?
Any help would be most appreciated
Thanks
abillybob
I've always been fond of The North Face and currently use a Surge II backpack. It has way too many pockets for storage, and it has a protective tablet pocket that perfectly fits the 10.5s with Samsung book cover. It also has this as a separate compartment that you can add a small lock if you wish...... These bags are pricey but should last you the rest of your life.

Cheers mate. Do you have a link for the bags?
Well you can go to the Northface website to see the various styles then find a place to purchase. I bought mine from a online vendor here in the US. You can save some money by getting a previous version (they release new colors and patterns every year and the old bags get discounted) but i couldn't recommend the brand enough.
I've owned (and still own) quite a few tablets in this life of mine. Most made by our friends at Samsung. A Lenovo here and there for good measure but mostly all Sammies. My favorite up until the last purchase was my 12.2 inch Tab Pro but I have to say this Galaxy Tab S7 Plus has easily become my all time favorite and not just that but I stand in awe of this f*&([email protected]!^ thing...First of course is that jaw dropping screen. I have the 49" ultra wide 144Hz pc monitor so I know of Sammie's Display Prowess but Holy S*(% I can't stop looking at it! Next was the ease that I was able to get the thing rooted and refilled with my Google apps and crap, no hassles.Hey Im sure that Samsung has a reason they asked so much for their Keyboard Folio for this tablet but I passed on that and picked up an RGB Backlit, Stylus Holding beauty off Amazon for about 50 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHNRGYC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (and not a minute too soon I'm sure) as me and glass/breakable electronics have a terrible history together, I always buy cases...now I just cant wait each day to use it for jotting down production lists at work or playing "Table Tennis " like games on it .
Samsung, as one of those "weirdos" who even though I've spent a sh*&load on my PC and I have the latest Android Phone I still find a need for a device "in-between" with Tablet properties ( I always have loved tablets) I'm not quite sure why but THANK YOU for scratching that itch so well with the S7+!
Ps: I also own an Intel core i7 2019 made Lenovo Laptop that I still use frequently. Its a Windows environment , the tablet is Android, all bases covered LOL.
