My device fully complete the lollipop update OTA, But fails to install, and gives me a red triangle with exclamation mark.
when i press the volume up and power button to know the reason of error, it shows me "/system/bin/flash_camera" as shown in the attached snap shot photo.
noting that the motherboard has been changed before in the service center, device not rooted before, battery fully charged, having enough space and finally factory data retested.
Could u help me to solve the problem?

Can you boot your phone normally? To boot your phone in bootloader turn it off. Then press and hold Vol- and Power button until phone reboots itself but you first must disable fast boot option in Power option in your phone Settings menu.Booting phone in bootloader dont losse your warranty.Unlocking bootloader will.

Hello,
My GNex is having charging issues and I'll probably will have to send it back, so I wante to unroot it and lock it again! I did that with the GNex Toolkit v5.4; I flashed the Stock Google Image 4.0.2 ICL53F without problems and then I choose the option to flash the stock Recovery and that worked without problems too, after that of course I locked the bootloader again.
But the problem is, when I want to enter Stock Recovery there's just an android layed down with a red warning triangle?! Is this a problem or is this normal? Will this eventually void my warranty?!

Are you sure? Because I can't, theres really only the android with the red warning triangle and nothing more... pressing buttons doesn't work at all (tried several combinations) and the only way to get out of that screen is to pull the battery?!

on previous phones it was touch enabled and you press the lower right (may be left not sure) to access menus.

Press all of volume up, down and power at the same time. That gets you into the menu.

In my (limited) experience, if all you see is the Android with the red triangle, then yes you have to pull the battery. I also found that if you are trying to get into the recovery menu from a cold boot, you must have the USB disconnected when you start up after you put the battery back.
That may just be my phone. But it went like this:
1) Ugh, red triangle and unresponsive to button clicks.
2) Pull battery.
3) replace battery.
4) Unplug USB cable.
5) Hold down upVolume, downVolume and Power.
6) When it vibrates, let go and wait for recovery mode.
You'll see a red banner at the top of the screen with the current option. Press up & down on the volume to change it.

mine gets stuck with red logo.. i did everything but only thing work is pull out battery .. so i guess that is stock recovery... unless you install CWM
I've recently got the JB update so I installed it, or atleast tried. Because when I try to turn on my phone again it gets stuck on the HTC logo (White screen).
I think somehow my battery went down during the installation and now I can't access my phone anymore.
It's a clean phone, no costum ROM and I haven't rooted it in any way.
Is there a way to fix my problem? (Preferably withour rooting it.)
I tried holding the power and volume down buttons and then selecting recovery but that doesn't work as I just end up getting stuck on the black screen with the Red triangle.

Try going into HBOOT
Hold down Power button & volume down buttons together when the phone is switched off. This will take you into HBOOT.
Select Recovery using the volume down button and press power to select it.
Hopefully it is able to recover and re-flash the firmware.

Doh missed that bit Sorry to be of little help. Hopefully someone else can proffer a solution.
if it's an unrooted phone, HTC have been very good at fixing phones bricked during OTA in my experience (2 day turnaround)
When you see the phone with the red triangle before you want to enter the recovery press vol - and the power button.....or at least the vol - button. Can't recreate it as i am on a custom recovery. You will bypass the red triangle and will enter the recovery. Maybe a cache wipe wil do, or a factory reset !

I've tried the factory reset be just like the normal boot it gets stuck on the HTC logo.
Clearing the cache might work but doesn't your phone needs to be rooted for that?

I cant recall if wiping cache is an option in the stock recovery !?
One can erase cache using 'fastboot erase cache' after getting the phone to restart in fastboot mode. See here and go to the 'Try this first' section. Hope this helps.

Sounds like hboot version problem with JB upgrade, what version of HOX you have? what version of hboot? , maybe we can unlock your phone and recover the system with custom rom and then rollback to stock rom.

I can use "adb reboot recovery" to enter TWRP 2.7 recovery mode, but I want to use key combination, please tell me how to that.
Hold Power + Vol Down > Wait until LG Logo pops up and release from both buttons > quickly hold Power + Vol Up + Vol Down again
It will pop up with some message about reset to factory settings, but it's all a bluff.
Hit Power x3 times to confirm and you'll get to TWRP recovery
Thanks, it works.
actually I enter this factory reset mode before, but i just don't know it a "fake".
so will this erase all data or not?

That will depend on whether you've installed TWRP or not.
If you've still got the original recovery it will wipe it like it says it will, if you've got a custom recovery it will take you to it.
The standard recovery isn't a recovery like you're expecting it to be, if just has a way of resetting things to default without allowing you to do anything extra. OEM don't like giving people options but want a way to reset to defaults that the customer can use before needing to return a faulty unit which might not be faulty. If that makes sense.

From what I can tell, it's not a "bluff". It seems that the stock recovery partition would just automatically do a factory reset, so it warns you before booting the recovery partition. Seeing as you're non-stock, it just boots into TWRP/CWM. It's a valid warning that's simply set up in a weird way.

You don't.
We'll you might be able to but you're going about it the wrong way.
First you need to find the right forum for your device, then you read, followed by more reading.
At some point you've hopefully discovered that you should have done all this reading before you reset your device.
Also before pressing the post button on your next post, read it first to make sure it makes sense.
Thank you very much, I tried other combinations found on some web pages that failed. This one worked!
Issue remains.

Install LG software on your computer first. Then with the tablet completely off, hold VolUp and plug the tablet into the computer. That will enter LG download mode. Use the LG software on your PC to install the latest firmware available for your device. From there you can use the guides on this forum to go custom if you so desire.
When i try to boot into recovery, my phone tries to install the update and it won't go into recovery. is there any way to delete the update file ?

Do you have an MOFD_UPDATE file on the root of your phone or SD card?
If it's an OTA, it should delete after the update runs.

Hold power button and press volume up key a few times or until you get to recovery menu. I got stuck like this for a little while too until I realised I'd skipped a step to get to recovery...
Oh, I was thinking that it actually started an update, then errored out or actually ran an update.
Yeah if it's just the dead Android icon, that's normal. That's what happens when you boot into stock recovery on these phones for some reason.
As stated above this post, just hold the power button for a second, then press the Vol-Up key. Once you get the timing down, it'll be really easy to do, but you might have to try a few times to get it to actually kick into recovery.
Don't hold the power for 5 seconds or it will reboot. Make sure you let go of the power button after you press the Vol-Up key.
This will happen every time you boot into recovery when you have stock recovery.

It's not actually updating. That's just what it does.
When the dead android shows up, hold power for a second and press Vol-Up while still holding the power button. Then release power when the recovery menu shows up.

What leads you to believe that?
If you are seeing the eRecovery menu while holding Vol+&Power make sure the phone is not plugged in at all. Not even to the charger.
Had that happen to me before.
