Hi there, i tried to flash t-mob101 firmware update for 1.36 (well i wanted to try i did fastboot getvar cid first) and i had a strange error
After doing
fastboot getvar cid
i got the answer cid:none
How can this happen? and more importantly: How can i fix it?
Try
fastboot oem readcid
Try command: fastboot oem readcid
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app
D:\OneX>adb shell getprop ro.cid
<<<yes it returned nothing no error no anything>>>
D:\OneX>fastboot oem readcid
... FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))
finished. total time: 0.589s
wtf?!
When i read in CID getter it says T-MOB101 but when i try to flash the new firmware for arhd it returns:
D:\OneX>fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
sending 'zip' (12877 KB)... OKAY [ 1.655s]
writing 'zip'... INFOadopting the signature contained in this i

That's a lot of unknown fails.
You need to be locked to flash hboot update, so make sure you have a nandroid backup before doing it:
fastboot oem lock
Relocking did the trick. Sorry, didn't know that (was not mentioned in the firmware post or i overread it) i thought the error was not getting a cid.
hi,,,
my htc desire stuck in htc logoo , is s off and i try to flash with ruu.exe( RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U _4.05.00.11_release_121865 )
flashing done.... but no booting....stuck on htc logooo...
i try to bootloader unlock but err
C:\adb>fastboot getvar cid
cid: HTC__E11
finished. total time: 0.000s
C:\adb>fastboot oem get_identifier_token
... INFO[ERR] Command error !!!
OKAY [ 0.016s]
finished. total time: 0.016s
how to unlock bootloader ???
i need help....
Are you s-on now?
Then download the 2.3 ruu in my sig, put it on the root of your sd-card, boot in hboot, and select "yes" when prompted.
Don't change the zip name.
After flashing is complete, you can continue with the s-off process by using revolutionary.

no, you cannot downgrade with ruu, you can however with a nandroid but as far as I can see your main version does not match your cid. I will still post a link for some nandroid backups but use at your own risk>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140

Received phone today - 3rd HTC - Sensation>One S>M8
Just Unlocked via HTC Dev site
Flashed latest TWRP - openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-m8.img - and also tried two previous versions. The two latest versions make the phone load right back into hboot screen. First version hangs for a moment, making me think it will boot into Recovery, then phone just reboots.
Will not boot into recovery
Cannot boot from Fastboot and adb says error: device not found.
Latest drivers installed
I even reinstalled HTC Sync

Any recommendations?
Did you turn off the fast boot mode?
Sent from HTC One m8, or maybe not anymore
Yes, fast boot has been disabled from the security settings and USB debugging is on.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using xda app-developers app
Maybe you flashed recovery into boot partition by omission?
Did you use
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-m8.img
Yes, as far as I can tell, I flashed the recovery correctly.
Sent from my One S using XDA Free mobile app
I got excactly the same problem, but its the international GSM version...
I would be very happy if someone knew a solution
Very strange. Can you guys try flashing Philz recovery and see if it boots now?

I have LG F180s, I used tinybeen+LGnpst tutorial, I can fastboot which has information like:
Product_name: Mako
Variant: mako 32gb
bootloader version: makoz10f
secure boot: enabled
lock state: unlocked
I tried your fastboot variables i.e.
fastboot.exe getvar cid (returns empty value for cid)
fastboot.exe getvar modelid (returns empty value for modelid)
Its been 3 days, that I am trying to get into recovery. I have tried both TWRP and CWM recoveries (various versions for LS970, Mako, PhilZ). I have also tried flashing stock ROM via LG Flash Tool 2014, completes successfully but phone enters BootLoop.
Therefore teenybins+LGnpst took me out of bootloop but now it cannot enter recovery. Although Teenybins say that they include TWRP

I bought a WWE HTC 10 to use in the states... I used sunshine and have s-off locked status, I changed the cid and mid to the unlocked us numbers and did a conversion using the htc ruu.exe, I have a red warning every time i start the phone about development purposes only etc... I figure this must have to do with the s-off so i want to set it back to on as though i just bought a usa unlocked model!
im in download mode
I tried the good old
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
and i got this output
Code:
...
(bootloader) HTC KEY CARD VERSION: 7
(bootloader) VERIFY_BY_PROJECT_SIGN_KEY_FAIL hosd (-9)
FAILED (remote: Partition verify fail -9)
finished. total time: 1.024s
what am i doing wrong?

Actually if you still have the red warning then the Ruu likely didn't fully flash. You shouldn't have that message if it successfully flashes.

Yeah I still believe that a fully flashed matching Ruu will clear that flag. Can you try flashing again and see if the dev flag clears?
