i need help! My Desire with Froyo 2.2 via OTA and HBOOT 0.92 don't see any sd card i use.. i tried different brand and different size but evey time my desire don't see it...

Hi i think i bricked my sdsard i was trying to flash desire hd rom on my desire tried to partition my d card as the instruction suggested now my i cant get my phone to detect my sdcard any more does any1 have any suggestions as to how i may be able to rescue my sdcard pls clear instructions as you can probably tell im complete notice ive only ever rooted to phones my my current phone htc desire and my first android hanset htc hero which i gave to my missus i found rooting pretty straight forward but all thi partitioning malarky has got me a little baffled
What did you use to partition it? What guide? PC card reader detects it?
hey guys, i recently got a htc wildfire and i was following instructions to make a gold card to root it, (i cant use unrevoked and i was downgrading hboot 1.01.002 to 1.01.001) and changed the hex code for my sd card. not long after i realised i amde a mistake and now my sd card is unable to use, does anyone have the hexcode for it for me to recover it? i am useing a samsung 2gb stock that came with my htc wildfire prepaid on telstra.

It is not related to software AFAIK.
in any case formatting the memory card should solve any errors unless if it is hardware issue.

no, it wont even detect it for some reason so im not really sure :/
I have the G2 (HTC Vision/ Desire Z) and would like to root it and install Synergy custom ROM. The problem is in rooting the device. I have Gingerbread (2.3.4) and most of the easier rooting methods only work for 2.3.3. How do I downgrade and root without using ADB? I've also heard about something called "swap" could someone also explain that?

Swap is a external partition on your SD card the phone uses as extra ram basically. Helps to have a higher class SD card with higher read and write speeds also.
