Play books weird color? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

So everytime I open Google Play Books it switches from white to cream sepia look. Is it the app or is it the phone because out of the app the rest of the phone is all white

Make Movie B&W + Color

Hello, I have an app on my iphone 4s that lets you make black and white movies. But it has a differential that is able to choose a color that appeared during the filming. For example, if you choose the color green, the film will be shot in black and white, but everything is green in the environment of the shoot remained green in the recording. You can choose any color. It is very nice for example to highlight flowers, or objects in the footage. Is there an app for android that does this work?
This is built into the stock camera app. You can choose between Red/Yellow, Green, and Blue.

what do the scenario settings do?

Just curious what the scenario settings are for under settings/advanced there are 2 tabs that say either screen or sensors I know what the sensor settings do but I am confused what the other modes do?? I tried to google it but there isn't anything there...
They change how the screen adjusts to pictures. I always change it to navigation, just makes black and dark grey blend better... or was it gallery?

[Q] Red/Night Filter Screen App?

Just got my new Nexus 7 2013, which will be used in my car a lot for music and nav. My car's interior lighting is red, so I was wondering if there's an app that can change everything onscreen to red. I used to use Chainfire 3D on my old tablets, which had a setting for this, but it's not compatible with JB. I know there are other apps that will add a red tint (Lux, Filter Your Screen, etc.), but they don't make it a true red like Chainfire. Hell, they even make the screen brighter by turning black into dark red. A current app that does what I want is Galactic Night, but it's only for Samsung Galaxy devices.
Any suggestions?

Try Night Filter. Its free on the Play Store and you can set whichever colour overlay you want. Not sure if that's exactly what you're after but it supports opacity of the overlay and colour, works for me at night! Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digipom.nightfilter&hl=en

[Q] Super AMOLED - Black = off or still on?

I'm looking into purchasing the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, but one of my big uses is for reading on the Kindle app. Currently, on my LCD device I read with a black background and white text to reduce the light emitted as I do a lot of reading before bed, but it still is a lot of light which can keep my wife awake. Does the Galaxy Tab S actually turn off the pixels producing black, or is just very, very dark? I know AMOLED is supposed to turn them off, but I've heard conflicting reports that some devices do and some don't. Would someone be able to load up the Kindle app and set it to black with white text and let me know if it actually shuts off the pixels so it wouldn't be as bright in a dark room?
Thanks!
The Kindle app set to black background truly gives a black background, if set to use system brightness you can also get a very dim white for the text. If looking at something like the dark theme in Tapatalk you don't get black, the background is a dark grey. A bonus of running the kindle app like this is that battery life should be extended, compared to using a white background.

I could say that this is true black. Comoared to my old 7.7 which gives a slight glow when displaying pure black. This one seems like the screen is off

[Q] Background color for Google Play Books with T700

I use my Android tablets for reading, using Google Play Books. I prefer a bright white background. With my Nexus 7 (2013) it's a pure white background, just the way I like it. With the Tab S 8.4 I can't seem to achieve bright white. It's more like a light sepia. I know sepia is a choice but that's a very dark (to my eyes) background. I've also played around with the Screen Mode but none of the choices seem to change the GPB background at all. I've turned Reading Mode on and off but I don't see any difference.
I know there are other reading apps but I like having a large library stored in the Google cloud and the ability to switch devices and have the bookmark change with it.
Any suggestions on how to change the background color for just Google Play Books?
I'm having the same problem with my Galaxy Tab 4 7.0". I've tried everything you have and it also doesn't work. I've also noticed that when I click the home button on my device it turns bright white just before closing so I know that the app and device are capable of displaying the correct color.
I know this isn't an answer to your question, just letting you know that you're not the only one. In fact your post is the first I've seen about this issue and I've been Google searching different variations of the question.
Those are my settings, and whites are white as should be.

I seem to get better whites with Basic rather than Cinema. When I use Cinema white has a strong blueish tint, especially on video. Whites on Basic are fine while watching movies, YouTube, etc. Google Play Books is now better with Basic and Reading Mode off but it's still not as bright a white as I would like.
For example, I was watching Ex Machina. An early scene has a helicopter flying over a glacier. With Cinema it looked like a sea of blue. I changed to Basic and the snow and ice turned white. You lose the oversaturated colors with Basic but the blueish whites really bother me on the other settings.
