Wait a minute. Has your friend got the update or the Wi-Fi? If he has got the update then please ask him to post a screenshot ASAP.
This is a request to all android one users that if anyone gets the lollipop update then please do not install it. First upload the update.zip file of the update and only then install the update.
How to get the update.zip file of the update :
First off when you see the update available notification, tap it.
Then there must be an option to download it. Select it and download the update. BUT DO NOT PRESS INSTALL! Before installing it, do the following process :
Using a root explorer app(you'll have to root the phone for this), go to the cache folder in the root of the system and you must see the update.zip file there. Copy it to your sd card and upload that file to d-h.st website. And the go back and now you can install the update.

It is not clear dude. According to Google update will be on the weekly basis and people who has a high time on the Wi-Fi will get update early

I & my friend have Canvas A1. Both the phones are always connected to 10 MBPS Wi-Fi. None of us got the update yet...
Got latest update for Redmi 1S.

When I apply update, its stuck at recovery with "File not found error"
I am using twrp recovery.
So I mannually flashed the update from external_sd->downloaded_rom->miui->update file.

the very first thing I noticed is improved thermal management, the device is heating very less as compare to previous version. rest there is not much difference.
I get the following error when I try to flash the v50 update using the Philz touch recovery. I got this error while the verification of the update and the error says something related to system/framework/com.Google.widevine.software.DRM.jar

If u have rooted our phone...u won't get any ota updates...u have to install them manually

Depends on the type of root...there are two types of root for this device...in one type u wont get any ota updates

Official root via security app will disable OTA updates. Using Superuser or SuperSU won't.
Can someone upload the 116MB zip file? I am only getting the 528MB zip file in updater.
battery life is not upto the mark
I've seen on YouTube people are getting well over 5hrs of sot and I barely get 3hrs of sot(most of the time around 2hr50mins) . I calibered the battery, rooted(underclocknto 1.3ghz) and greenify many things ,still I can barely get pass 3hrs of sot.
And from what I have seen is when on WiFi the standby is very poor. It drains hell lot of battery even on standby(WiFi on) . what is the fix of this ?

Hey, I bought a Nokia x7 4/64 today. It installed 200mb update and it's on Nov security patch.
2 of my friends who have 6gb version have gotten Android pie update. But why doesn't my phone get it!? They're all for China so there won't be delay because of region.
Anybody has Chinese forums for it? I couldn't find any
Nokia doesn't have Chinese community on its site.

I am using Nokia 8.1 Global version bro. voLTE works fine in 8.1. Really sorry but no idea about X7. But 99% it should work

All working great, found just a couple of small issues, when watching a video in Landscape (youtube for example), if I pull down the notifications, the icons are aligned to one side and notifications are aligned to the centre of the screen and also if I pull the multi task view, the thumbnail for the app preview looks like a flat bar that's it really, everything else looks fine and stable.

You need to boot into recovery, the way I did that was by using the "adb reboot recovery" command, to do this you need to first enable developer options, then connect the cable from the pc to the phone and type that command, once in recovery, you should see android lying down with an exclamation mark, press volume up + power, or volume down + power, can't remember which one, basically you want to see a bunch of options on the screen, once you see them, using the volume keys to navigate through the options and power button to select the option, select the sideload option and type "adb sideload <nameOfFile.zip>" it will take a few minutes to finish, just let it run...
I'm assuming you know the basics for using adb some youtube videos will tell you more if you needed.

Camera seems better and I do believe the "night" mode has newly appeared? Not sure if it was there before. Also the camera app has 960 slow motion, added. This and I suspect more additional "tweaks" have been added. Also google assistant now working great. (Actually more responsive than on my pixel 3 XL!!??) Responds every time.
I've been waiting an OTA since I got the phone, and I see this and find that this f****** OTA not jump on my Mi8PRO. Do you have the Global Version? I hope it doesn't take long for me to get out.
