AOSP 5.0.2 with root and camera - Xperia Z1 Original Android Development

I realised, there exists no aosp with working camera on this forum,
So here you go
http://files.championswimmer.in/get...okp_honami_lollipop_unofficial_2015-04-14.zip
Pardon the name, and also the bootanimation because I built it out of the AOKP trees
There aren't any AOKP/CM etc features in it. Functionality wise, it's pure AOSP.
enjoy, and don't blame me for bricked phones, lost jobs, nuclear wars.
cheers

Good job, why don't you link us to the camera source?

Using CM's kernel (which is aosp with the camera patch... or should I say hack)
And using caf trees for everything hardware/qcom

It looks like kernel and device tree is from CM/CAF. Only the android system seems to be AOSP.
So I think it doesn't help much with Sony sources based AOSP Bulids.
Still nice to have such a rom. I really like pure AOSP without any extra features.
I hope it will get updated with all the device specific changes frequently.
EDIT: Nevermind... OP was faster

mischa_martin

Come on I unlocked my bootloader for this rom but gapps doesnt work with it.
It booted, and after lockscreen there was a blackscreen.
No setup wizard or something like that.
After a reboot it boot looped

Nice work I will try this when I get back, is there a certain baseband we need to be on?
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
I don't know even if it boots...
Same baseband as CM9.
I've been porting it too so expect builds from me if OP doesn't get his device.
Since this is running on fxp kernel, I assume most of the essential things that make a phone a phone isn't working as well, am I right?
Anyone given it ago yet?? Has he managed to get the modem working when fxp cant? Nice to see some new Roms in this forum thanks
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
No, nothing modem related there. Same kernel...
stupid question: the buttons on-screen are there or they can be hidded and use the built ones?
i dont really know how to ask this in english, maybe you cant understand what im trying to say XD

In AOKP you can always switch the buttons on and off. Even if they are there by default, which I highly doubt, you'll be able to disable them in ROM Control.
I really hope major features are working. I'll try it tomorrow evening after job
Just want to announce that Venom and I decided to join forces. Having some schtuff I'll try to get, we might be able to get the baseband working

Don't have to be much of anything besides rooted w/ custom recovery. It should operate fine unless there's something wrong with the boot.img
I was running Hydro, wouldn't boot, went back to stock, will flash recovery and try flashing again.
Edit - Don't know what else I can be doing wrong. I went back to stock, flashed TWRP 2.2.1.3 and wiped, installed this rom, and it stays on the boot animation. Any ideas?

Check out Term's AOKP JB thrad to see if he posted a boot.img/flashable kernel. That sounds like what your issue is. I have heard that TWRP doesn't properly restore/wipe boot partition.

The reason it works fine for those who already have jb is aokp still doesnt make the boot.blob correctly. So unless the OP switches it out with one built from a working build those not already on jb will not boot.

Do you mean you can't customize the toggles displayd in the notification area? I think that is currently not implemented in AOKP, they just recently merged the battery icon for the tablet navbar. Or do you mean the toggles that are there by default do not work? I tried them and they work for me :-/ Could you give a logcat?

I do mean those toggles. They were in the previous preview. That's why Im confused. The OLD preview was working fine. This latest one doesnt work.
Oh well, we'll see what happens.
I like the boot animation, but this appears to be a port of cm10, not the aokp that is based on stock. What sucks is it doesn't have some of the cm features like battery percentage.

[ROM][LB/UB][4.1.2] CyanogenMod 10

PREAMBLE
As the title suggests, this is CM10 for locked bootloaders. Since many people doubt this works, I am NOT responsible for bricked devices, whining children whatsoever. I have tested this on my locked Xperia S and it works so good that I decided to use it as a daily driver.
This ROM is for all those who have got tired of Stock-based ROMs!
Oh, and please, do not post feature requests or bug reports here, use DevDB instead, thanks.
HOW IT WORKS
If you want to know how it works, go here and also don't forget to give kudos to letama.
WORKING/NOT WORKING
- UI freezes sometimes if one holds the homebutton pressed
- LED stays on (doesn't go on and off)

Someone with locked bootloader should try, but I think it should work. You need to flash it with Sony apps from somewhere, but all the prerequisites are there. And 12 MP camera and 1080p video recording, should work since this is based on 1.96 firmware, the kernel is the same.

FIUI porting for maguro?

Hi,
i found this great rom, very beautiful but there isn't a version for our maguro. I tried a porting from Nexus 4 with this guide but don't boot, so i tried with Galaxy S2 and boot but without a signal and navbar, and other problem.
Is there anyone that can be port this rom? I think that isn't difficult but I do not know what to do.
Here the site of the rom http://www.fiui.org/
Thanks
That rom would be nice is it kitkat based rom you tried to port from s2?
I tried to port from s3 (i9300) Fiui rom, but i got stuck in bootloop..
I tried to port from Nexus 4 and boot, it seems to work well, but audio doesn't work and i don't know how resolve
Maybe there is some kind of tutorial, how to fix bugs on ported roms? btw, can you upload your port to google drive or something, i would like to test it out.

This is the porting with fancy kernel r60 inside. Remember, you don't need flash the gapps, but go to Settings-Accessibilty-Enable Gapps and reboot.
The strange thing is that if you listen to ringtones and sounds notification in Settings-Audio, this works, but videos, youtube, mp3, etc not
