having problem while charging my htc wildfire(buzz) through charger(adapter) after using rem puzzle rom 2.40(full) it shows a exclamation battery icon when i try to charge through charger ,but when i try to charge through usb (pc) it is charging properly & it shows charging battery icon ..i am a new user to xda so couldn't post in the rempuzzle thread...kylon plz do provide solution to this problem......(i didn't had this type of problem in cm7.03 which was my previous rom on my wildfire)
I'm using rempuzzle and have no issues with charging so its not a Rom fault.
Try a clean install and wipe battery stats before flashing the rom. Wipe battery is found in cwm/advanced.

i flashed the rem puzzle rom thrice but the same charging problem exits for me ,the phone is properly charging through pc via usb mode & even the led light blinks but when i charge through charger i get a battery icon with "!" mark on the notification bar & even the led light doesn't blink.. just to check wheter i had problem with the charger or the rom i reflashed cm 7.03 on my phone & the phone was charging properly with the use of charger....that means the rem puzzle rom is not detecting my charger which came with my phone(but cm 7.03 detects my charger)
Mmmmm strange.can you post in dev section yet?

Ok see if this works, idea came from 3xeno (yoda)
Turn off your phone, remove battery, remove sdcard, remove sim card, leave it in this state for at least 10 minutes then put it all back together.
If that doesn't work you need to try a different usb cable. Try swapping the cable that works on your pc to use with the mains plug.

slymobi i tried your solution but my problem didn't got solved ..i even tried with different cable which works with pc but that is also not detected by the rom when i plug it in the charger... so just to check it was charger issue or the rom i urooted my phone & went back to stock rom & my stockrom detected the charger & it was charging as normal..actually my phone is revised version of wildfire with arm processor v6 rev:2..so can the problem be due to some kernel issue in rem puzzle rom i even flashed the previous version of rempuzzlerom v 0.10 but i was facing the same charging issue in that rom also....
I'm afraid I don't know what your issue can be now then. Sorry.

So I have had this device since February and finally decided I wanted to Unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and get some cool new roms on it. I have the GPE by the way.
Anyways so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP and then rooted the device by flashing a zip file for root. I assumed the tablet got rooted so I then decided to try the multi window hack and flashed that. Well it caused some apps to corrupt (the phone app in particular) and they would keep crashing preventing me from doing anything. I decided to go back into recovery and try to do a data and cache wipe but that did not help. Eventually I wiped the entire OS which was a mistake. I was still able to get into recovery mode but I have no SD card to load up with a rom to flash and it was late to go buy one. I also tried ADB through the recovery mode that did not seem to work.
I did some searching and found out that I could download the LGMlauncher and it could get me back to stock but to use that I needed my serial number which is on the box (which I had at the office). So I plugged it in (and got the little battery icon) and a few hours ago went to the office to get the box. I tried the LGMlauncher and it keeps on crashing while trying to update and now I am not able to get into recovery mode. What are some other steps I can take to try and recover it?
Thanks.
Edit: I tried the LGMlauncher again and it said my battery was low so I plugged it back in. is there a trick to charging it while it is off? I assume that could be why recovery mode wont work.
Hi, if you have twrp recovery and it is working you can install your missing system by following this post

Good luck

Yeah It appears as though the battery was not charging even though I had plugged it in and now it is dead. I cannot seem to get it to go into recovery or anything. Is it safe to say it is bricked?
When my HP Touchpads battery was to low to take a charge from the wall charger, the only way it could get enough charge to be able to use the wall charger was to trickle charge it from my computer usb port for a couple of days.

Yeah it has been plugged into my PC for a few days and nothing.
When phone connected to wall charger or through usb charge goes down instead of increasing
When phone switched off and again on charge is 90% all of a sudden and same case starts again
tried several chargers and usb
I am on DN4 V2 and agni kernel
and when i tried to update kernal to latest it just hangs at selection point of internal storage
is it happenning due to use of philz should i try with twrp?

Try to use TWRP 2.8.5. I flashed latest agni 4.4.4 with no problem.
I'm also using DN4
After I updated my recovery to the (M BASED) TWRP 2.8.7.6 by jrior001 my phone (Z00A) refuses to fast charge. I know is not the charger, because I'm able to charge other devices with that charger. Has this happed to any one, and do you know how to fix it?
Try to Reinstall the stock recovery if the fast charging work the problem is the TWRP it isn´t work you will need to do a hard reset.

Thanks bro, I'll try that.
You welcome.
Sorry guys, noob here.
Started with the USB not being promptly recognized by my PC, but after some reconnections it worked.
So, one day ago, I installed TWRP via heimdall suite and flashed the last stable Cyanogenmod 12.1 for GT-N5100, following all the instructions. For my surprise, the tablet doesn't charge with any type of source. Tried lots of cables and adapters and nothing.
I returned to stock ROM, 4.4.2, but the same problem remains.
What I found is that somehow it start recharging when plugged for some time, but only some few %, and the tablet is readily recognized via USB when on download mode. So, it's not a hardware issue.
Someone, please help me.

I think you have system corruption from kernels. I have experienced various issues around power with the note 8.0... all of which were from various kernel loads effecting low level device operation. Unfortunately there is no reset button or easy access to clean out the corruption.
You can remove the battery connection and wait a few minutes. Then connect and go into download mode and flash a stock rom. Then boot to setup and finalize your installation. Check and see if it will charge and properly function with power off and reboot options from the power menu.
If so flash a recovery, and wipe completly and flash your ROM of choice. If you choose a custom kernel outside of the ROM package, that may be done on top of the ROM load, to assist in a clean and trouble free ROM install.

Tried exactly what you said: Opened it, removed the battery for a while, flashed the stock rom via Odin and factory reseted. Nothing changes.
Doesn't charge anyway. It's recognized when in download mode, though.
With 16% battery right now. If it drop to 0%, that means gameover? Or can i charge while on download mode (odin mode)?
Can't I flash TWRP and then install a custom kernel from there?
Thanks, dude.
I use Philz Recovery, as had issues with TWRP long ago and gave up once I tried Philz.
I would have done a full wipe and reset in philz.
You can charge in Philz and in Download mode, once you are able to get the phone to reset the power mode by the kernel flash.
One thing I think may be your issue... the USB connector may be bad. All you need is the voltage pin to go bad. Data will operate without voltage for powering the device.
Removing the USB board and lightly compress the top and bottom of the connectors frame, so that your cable end fits snug. Had to do that a few years ago when a cable end stretched it out after a few uses. Did not go back to using it again once I corrected the fit issue.

Tried also, without response.
It really doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
Right now I plugged into the charger and there you go: Charging!!
I don't know what I did different, but it's working, at least for a while. Probably it will not fully charge, but ok.
I remembered that, prior to flashing TWRP+CM12.1, I got constant pop-ups about Power Sharing. Reading some forums, some guys experienced the same problem with this feature and them their phones stopped charging. Some reported that a factory reset solved, which is not my case.
I will keep posting what I did and if I find something that solves, it may help someone who's stuck with the same error.
Anyway, thanks so much, gooberdude.
(And sorry for my lame grammar.. writing is much harder than reading and listening english)

Hello
My N5100 faces the same problem of charging as this thread.
Could you put in details about your status of N5100
- Your regional model: Ex: EU, America, Asia....?
- Your Tab is working fine until today, doesnt it?
- If it's working fine , what was ROM you are using currently?
- What did Recovery you use to flash ROM?
Thank you so much
Hello my tab has a charging problem too it started with not being recognised when I plug to my computer. When I plug to a power source it charges sometimes other times it just doesn't and I'm certain the charger isn't the problem
