The latest update to Pandora is acting up badly for me. It starts failing by not updating the track info on the UI. Then it puts up a message stating that it's not responding and asking if you want to close it. Or other times it blacks out the screen and locks up the display. The Home button can bring back your display. But when ever you try to return to it your phone locks up again. You need to reboot to get out of it. I uninstalled it then installed this and it seems to be ok now. Of course I had to disable Auto Update in Play Store.
Does anybody know of an updated version that works or have any info about this?

I've had this issue happen a few times, so I disregarded it, but just a few minutes ago it happened 3 times in a row. Here is what happens:
I'm in the middle of a phone call, and suddenly I hear a beep, and I look at the phone and the call was disconnected (I'm back on the 'Phone' screen). I then realize that the phone becomes unresponsive (the screen doesn't respond, same thing goes for the Home/Menu/Back/Search buttons).
The only thing I can do is press the top 'Off/Lock' button to shut off the screen, then press it again, and everything goes back to normal.
This happened 3 times within 5 minutes.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, any advice/solutions?
My 30-day purchase window is up in about a week, so I'd like to get this resolved before then to avoid any headaches.
Thanks in advance.
Have you loaded any apps? Modified the phone at all?
I've never seen this type of behaviour before.
Thanks for the reply. No, I haven't rooted it, or loaded custom time or anything. The only thing I've done is just download/install some Apps from the Android Market, that's it.
What do you all think I should do?
*bump*
I think I may have fixed the issue -- I had the Google Voice installed on my phone, and when I uninstalled it, I haven't had the problem since (it's been about 3 days).
Has anyone else experienced any stability issues or glitches using the Google Voice app?
My mom has been having this issue with her stock 2.1 Inc... She says the screen suddenly stops working and all that will work is the power button and volume rocker. Says it usually happens mid call.
PS. she doesn't have google voice. And google voice doesn't cause this issue on my Inc.
Yeah, it just happened to me again, and I don't have Google Voice installed, so that's not the culprit.
Is anyone else having this problem? Please let us know in this thread - I am going to swap the phone out tonight at my local Verizon store.
It happens to me frequently. Before and after I rooted. Let me know what Verizon does about it.

I got the phone replaced at the Verizon store a couple of days ago, and I have yet to see the problem. However, ill keep a close eye out and will post another update in the next several days.

Anyone else getting this error? After reading the two main errors seem to be faulty camera hardware and bar code scanning apps. I uninstalled my bar code scanner and the problem persists. There is a small dent next to my flash under the camera but this came with the phone and my camera worked for a while. Taking the battery out and putting it back in fixes the problem about half of the time, but only is good for one to two uses. I'm thinking of sending this in, but I'm waiting until the SGSII HD is out in case they offer to replace it with any phone. Wishful thinking, I know.
And here's the error:
Are you on the stock rom? I got that yesterday but a reboot fixed it.

Try doing a factory reset. Sometimes an app installed on the phone might screw up with a hardware's function. For example, I've always use Screebl Pro on my phone to let it control how my screen turns off. I decided to try their new Beta version. A few days later, I cannot seem to manually turn off my screen by pressing the power button. Every time I press the power button, the screen will come back on on its own. I can try up to 4-5 times before it eventually goes off. I though my phone finally broke as I tried uninstalling and reinstalling apps, changing settings here and there to no luck. I finally realized about the beta Screebl I had installed, and decided to disable it. The moment I did that, the phone was back to normal, no weird things happening to it.
So try doing a factory reset first before sending it back.
Strangely enough uninstalling Reconage has seemed to fix this. Can anyone else confirm it breaks your camera? The comments don't say it does so it must be something with the Nitro.
I get it too on cm7 all the damn time. I can record 1 video then after I stop, it messes up and I have to reboot to record again.
Any more definitive answer on this issue? My wife's Nitro HD has started giving this error in the last few days and no amount of rebooting seems to be fixing it. She is stock plus a few apps. I uninstalled nearly everything that uses the camera, reboot the phone, and still have the problem.
Alternatively, is there a way to see what apps were installed/updated by date? The last photo she took was on 6/13, so if we can figure out what apps have been updated since then that might help us get to the bottom of the issue.
I updated to 4.3 by OTA last week. I had no issue during the update. The update was from 4.1.x which was the latest version before this 4.3. It was never rooted. I see two weird things in this new version. I would like to hear if anybody saw the same, and know how to solve the problems.
1) en download notification keeps appearing. (see the attached picture) When I hit the notification, it directs me to an URL link, but nothing shows up. The notification pops up every minute almost.
2) When someone calls me, the flashlight in the back of GS3 blinks. It never happened before. I do see it as a cool feature, but I don't want to use it every day. I couldn't find an option to turn it off.
Thanks.

Not sure about the notification but the flash setting can be fixed by going into settings, then to the My Device tab, then to accessibility. scroll down to find Flash Notification (under Hearing).
I did the official update on my wife's GS3 and immediately did a Factory Data reset and everything is working very well and smooth. Battery is actually pretty good too.
This is the second time I have experienced this. While driving today using my phone for navigation all of the sudden the voice cuts. I look and the phone says powering off. It takes a few minutes and then reboots to a screen that says it is updating android and not to power off the phone. I kind of knew where I was going but if I did not I would have had to pull over the 15 minutes it took to do this and then check every app I have for lollipop compatibility after.
The update had been bugging me for a couple weeks to install it just like the previous update a couple months back. Each time I hit the home button to get around it without setting a time. Both times however my phone randomly started to auto-install the system update after I ignored it enough times.
Is there a way to prevent these auto forced updates once the OTA update has downloaded itself? Of all the android phones I have had none have ever auto updated the android version without asking permission first.
Am I the only one to experience this or am I doing something wrong?
... and has a way to fix them?
1. the phone will decrease its refresh rate from time to time and stays there, and the "stuttering" is only fixed by rebooting. Yes, I am aware, that Whatsapp and Telegram voice messaging is occasionally linked to it, and can be handled by removing the apps from memory. But not in the mentioned cases.
2. "Ok, Google" accessing the assistant doesnt work from now and then. And is back to normal a few tries later.
3. When talking over the phone with speaker mode and browsing on the phone, the notification bar cannot be pulled down any more, which is annoying cause I cant easily open the phone tab to end the call.
Anyone, guys?
2. I have a similar bug with quick tap, it seems that a system app freezes/crashes, and without knowing the exact culprit the entire system needs to be rebooted to enable the function again.
Plus my "Ok, Google" also stopped working in the past, found no way to fix it yet. It's probably an Android 12 bug.
Since yesterday I noticed my AOD does not work when on a call, screen goes dark. I go into AODsettings and it still turned ON.
There's only been one update since the phones been released, besides the FPS update, after a few updates it'll be fine
I have noticed "OK Google" not responding at times as well.. not as bad as my 2XL was at times, only a reboot would fix that...but is annoying to say the least especially when driving. And I don't think it works while using Waze or Maps for navigation either which stinks, maybe I need to use Android Auto for that integration to work right.
