Hey guys
my phone's rear camera suddenly stopped working . In-fact its not even appearing when i press the camera icon. I only get front cam options . Any idea what is the problem here ? I tried everything from clearing cache , data , factory reset to rooting the device and installing a custom ROM . Still doesn't work .. Could someone please help ? Also it would be great if someone could provide me a complete stock ROM
My mobile is btw desire 816 dual sim indian version. Thanks in advance and yeah every reply gets a thanks button.
My camera died also. It's a dead camera module
Did you fix your problem I have same thing here.
I did, bought a camera module and replaced it. It works now

hey guys . my htc one x is having a trouble that it can not record a video although it can take a picture. as soon as i press the record video button the camera application closes immediately . is there any solution for it ? thanks
Try making a factory reset,it'll be a system error and will probably solved by a reset

im using android revolution 15 rom
Try reinstalling the Rom,that will help you out,because other people aren't suffering from this problem,so it'll just be a system error and will be solved
no signature....problem ?!?!?!
after reinstalling the room its work again but after few days i got this problem again

may i ask why are you using arhd 15 not 17 the latest ?
I've been useing cm10.1 from the first nightlies then the camera stoped working ,after that i installed paranoid android but it still have the same problem then the stock samsung and removed root but it still have the same problem HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP sorry {BAD ENGLISH}
I Dont have screen shot of cm camera but its opening black screen

Fullwipe only the solution
i did fullwipe factory reset ,wipe cache and dalvic cahce nothing happend

Samsung Stock Camera App does not work with CM
I had this issue with both JellyBam and CM 10.1
I use Camera JB +
Had same problem, ended up being a baseband or kernel problem. Can't remember exactly which, maybe both. Try different kernels, I know Siyah kernel has working camera. Good luck!
i installed sammy rom but the problem happend while im using cm

I am trying to sort out a fix for video recording for ace 2 (i8160) it is running CM11 , everything is working fine with the exception of video recording , when you try to record , video starts then stops instantaneously , I have tried everything , from reinstall to different cameras , any ideas ??

I just installed CM11 on your request. Camera and video are working.
Use rom and kernel by @ace2nutzer which can be found HERE

When i receive my p8000 then i install all third party camera without knowing that the stock rom cannot use third party camera.
After that i flash new stock rom after knowing the update have been release and then the camera is working. But after 24 hour it stuck once again.
Then i flash to flyme rom. Then my camera working good. After 24 hours my camera stuck again. Even i reboot my p8000 its still not working.
Tired all of this. I stop find other rom and hoping that flyme team can solve my problem. Today i m still using flyme rom, sometime my camera working good but sometime its cannot connect.

I forgot the version. But i flash both of them and still cannot solve my problem. U can check the version at official elephone forum for p8000 model. U also can get the flyme rom there.
Try use Eragon ROM it's on XDA its has more support than official rom

guys i have 2 issues :
1- my screen is starting to have a white line or spots ..what is this ?
2-my camera wont open unless i restart the device .i have tried stock and roms etc..nothing is working .
the camera is working perfectly but only once and then i have to make a restart to use it again .
i would really like any answer .

1. Have you already performed a complete factory reset? If yes your your screen is probably broken and you should claim warranty
2. Have you tweaked the camera?
