This is Moto G1 & 2 specific for now, i will expand it to have Universal support in the future.
If you want to help: you can either send some changes to the github project page or you can send me a pm and i will contact you when i need help regarding testing.
These may be anomalous results, but from my current egl modification use i seem to have obtained a 100+ point boost on Antutu and games render with less frame-skip (possibly placebo or other factors can be at play).
Control test result: (thanks to @SOU55 & @Aileach XDA):
My test result with EGL modifications:
As you can see my results have roughly a 100 points more in the 2D rendering area (i targeted 2D rendering specifically for now)
Now many may say these results of mine can be anomalous, but i will try to do more benchmarks, and im also putting out a little challenge, try and beat my 2D rendering score, if you do, hats of to you, i may be wrong in the EGL modifications since the Adreno 305 might not support them, but i do have another handful of modifications i yet have to experiment with to improve the GPU performance.
The script aims to have these functions at the time being, more features will be added soon:
- EGL modifications
- Resolution modifications

I know this is a long shot but are there any car modding developers out there who could make a windows mobile version of the greddy emanage support tool.
Would be amazing if I could just plug my HD2 in to my emanage blue piggy back ecu to monitor/change settings.
p.s. currently about 2/3 the way through of fitting an eaton M45 supercharger to my fto
the specs needed for the original software are quite low -
266mhz cpu (for real time monitoring)
128mb ram
50mb hard drive space
svga monitor (800X600)
my beast

I doubt this would every happen unless Greddy wants to release the source code which I don't see ever happening.

there is one guy who has allready released his own version emanage tools and it was an open source project.
I have just grabbed a copy and it includes .pdb files if these are the source code files (sorry for the newbie question)

air fuel ratios
boost
throttle position

thanks, friend
I like it, it's very fast. I'm having an issue with the Play Store, it keeps downgrading itself to "Market", and when it does so, if I update again, the process crashes when I open it. Everything else is good, except for the music player, I'm a fan of the stock gingerbread music app... but that's a matter of taste.
Hi I've been acquainting myself with all of the terms and meanings around here but their is just too much to take in all at once.
I've managed to get a general understanding of alot of what these terms etc are.
What I'd like to know is:
What the heck is a Kernel, what does it do and what difference does it make in terms of your phone etc?
I know what a ROM is (I think) and to my understanding a ROM is basically an OS?
I've heard a kernel is how the ROM talks to the Hardware, but what difference does a custom Kernel make etc.
Thanks !
So, in simple terms, think of the kernel as the connection between the two places - hardware and software, that allow communication between each other. Custom kernels just contain numerous tweaks and improvements such as better performance, battery life etc.
A ROM is not an OS. A ROM is simply a version of the OS - with it's own tweaks, additions and functions added to it.

Thanks you two !
Great information !
So I'm using this ROM
[ROM][JB]BlackJelly V 0.9.2 - 11/14/12 Based off TMO Official JB LJA
I was wondering, what does a kernel exactly do ? I've read about it but it kinda didn't make sense to me.. and which kernel should i use ?
analogy taken from the kernel master, faux123:
What is a Kernel? The Kernel is the Foundation in which everything else builds upon in any software system.
[Car Analogy]: Kernel is like the Engine, Electrical system and the Transmission to a car. The Library, Framework and the Apps [AKA ROM] are the body frame and the rest of the Car.

hope that helps...maybe try ktoonsez kernel in the dev section
You could also say that android is relative to the kernel in the sense that it is simply the user interface of Linux of our devices. The kernel basically tells the hardware how to react to how you are manipulating said UI... that is a very... very basic explanation obviously. Your user interface, which is what you see and touch on your screen, is basically a bunch of packages of executable files (apps) that coexist to make use of hardware through library (lib) files, binaries, etc... the kernel is the backbone of Linux machines, the root, the power management, the brain of the OS. make sense?
The first thing you probably did after rooting your Defy Mini was removing some factory apps like Cardio Trainer, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and others...
Now I'll give you some tweaks you can apply to your Defy Mini to improve performance and make it more "usable", so let's start.
1) Get more CPU/GPU performance
-add the following lines to your buld.prop file ubicated in "/system/build.prop" (Mount partition as r/w) (using Root Explorer is the easiest way)
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=400
debug.performance.tuning=1
debug.sf.hw=1

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) Setting interface rendering to Hardware (using gpu to draw interface)
-find the file "egl.cfg" ubicated in "/system/lib/egl", remove everything written on it and copy this "0 1 adreno200", it should look just like this:
-In the same dir "/system/lib/egl" find the file "libGLES_android.so" to "libGLES_android.bak", it should look just like this:
-RESTART YOUR DEVICE-
Test it for yourself, now your device will be able to play 480p videos with smoothness (25 - 30fps) (Adobe Flash Player for ARMv7, gpu video rendering, 16bit per pixel)
Do you know if these changes consume more battery?
I mean there have to be some catch, right?
