How to use BetterBatteryStats

HI im just a new user of android phone. Can anyone tell me how to use BetterBatteryStats ?
How can i know if my battery drains are normal or not .
Thnx
maybe in the q&a
I always LOL at some people when they claim others as 'noob' when they are actually.
@OP- Anyway, you see the this thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Besides, just keep checking the 'Wakelocks' stats to see what apps are running and causing the battery drain when the screen is off.
Regards.

Let's start looking at battery differently?

Hello friends,
As you may or may not notice depending on your frequency here on xda, we have many people with wide results in the battery department, especially with leaks.
The problem is, these reports are simply not consistant. Posting "I lost 6% in 1" min does nothing for anyone. This post is not to make fun or to bash but to awaken potential ways to help each other.
If you are suffering from poor battery, grab this app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Its called better battery stats and the dev is nice enough to allow it for free to xda members. One of its primary features in our case is tracking down wake locks and kernel wake locks. Instead of posting "my battery life is horrible" do some investigating. Try to find out why. Help out yourself, or hell, if Samsung or sprint are here, maybe you'll help them too.
Just a thought, but srzly, "battery life sucks" is no gud.
So as the leaks progress, feel free to share experiences. Help users help you with locks because I can assure some of your poor battery is not experienced by everyone. And if it is, then we can all determine why.
If you need help understanding the app or how to use it, and you can't figure it out from the apps in app help section then ask.
I've got to say, coming from the Evo 3D, this phone has way better battery life for me. I'm not one to pay close attention to battery stats, screen on time, etc. because I'm usually near a charger every where and hardly ever let it go below 40%. I completely understand what you're saying about the user reports though. My favorite is when a rom gets released, 1 hr later you get the "How is battery life?!" Hopefully members will take you're advice and start looking more closely at it and give better info

Bolded has always been one of those things that made me get a good chuckle.
Good post OP, thanks for the link.
You can also check the "Show CPU Usage" in Developer setting" if you are on an ICS leak and want real time feedback...

+1 I would have to agree with that one myself but it also make me wonder what the heck is wrong with people...LOL
Also as stated previously when coming from a HTC device this is like almost having an extended battery but I will make reference in here of battery life in the future... thx
Yeah, I just came from the OG EVO 4G and it's like having an extra battery. I was looking at posts about bad battery life and chuckling to myself.
But I will install that app and track mine, if we/I can improve it then I'm all for it. Be nice if we can get a number of people on board so we have a good pool of stats to work with, might find something.

I installed BBS but what exactly do I look for? How do I know what's killing my battery? This app just looks like a bunch of numbers and colored lines to me, lol.

There you go. The screenshots will be a good indicator of how long the batteries roughly last and what each person is doing.

[Q] Best way to test a battery's health?

We have 2 batteries, one that's 2 years old and one that's about a month old. STUPID ME, YES, I AGREE, I did not mark either and have managed to mix them up. Both seem to work properly for an hour's test, and I do not want to turn this into an all-day affair. What's the best way to quickly determine which battery is the newer (healthier) one so that I can mark the other as the spare.
Pete
Unfortunately if the two batteries are identical, there is no quick way to tell. Maybe try matching the seriel number to the newest one if you still have the receipt/paper work from the order. Other than that I don't know.

Thank you Kenny.
What's it matter, I'd charge both up and then just keep the other in your pocket, if there's a large discrepincy in capacity then you'll learn pretty fast after both full drain.
Yea I'd say just keep em both handy. Otherwise, the batteries do have date codes on them, but who knows if your newer ones IS new or just "old stock". At any rate I'm quite certain that the "DPQ" line on the battery is the date code, which this is what 3 Stratosphere batteries say in their DPQ line:
DC110922
DC110928
DC120718 [this is an extended life]
Which those all can be deciphered perfectly as a date: 2011-09-22, 2011-09-28 and 2012-07-18.
Hope that helps some...
EDIT: Heck, DC could even stand for Date Code, for that matter lol
Build date year will be the give away. To see which retains the best charge, use each for a 24hr span with regular usage. Then make the least drained your primary.

Is remmaping battery percentages possible?

Hello Guys!
I have a GT-I9195 which drops to 0% from 35% nearly instant. This a known fact for so much of these phones.
I would like to know if it is possible to "remap" battery percentages in some low level way?
I'm okay with java programming, using LineAge OS, maybe some kind of low level programming can do this?
I mean "map" 100% to 100% and 40% to 5% or something like this...
Thanks in advance!
I think you should make some changes on kernel. Maybe csendre can help you
