So I got a canvas a1 a couple of days ago. It is a great phone, expect for this issue I have been facing: when I download or update an app from play store, the download progress is not shown in notification area. I hv attached the screenshot of what is displayed in the notification area. The download progress is displayed in google play store app, though....

Yes I've been facing this issue. The same in my friend's phone.
I don't think this is a problem. Maybe this is how it's supposed to work
yeah it doesn't show the progress in the notification area, click on that icon and then it will take you to the playstore app and there, it will show the progress. it's not a bug it's the design.

I have tried it today. Turned on my GPS before launching the app. Really amazing, at least for me. You can turn on the grid and it feels like you are inside the globe. It uses the internal sensors combined with the GPS, so while moving the phone around, the view changes accordingly showing you what stars/planes are there.
The sad part ? Looks like not all options are available - I could not turn on the constellations as it is greyed out. Is there like a full version of it or smth ?

I checked battery history and starchart had a sensorusage about 8 hours (app was just opened for a few minutes). So i uninstalled it.
What are your experiences? Im on rooted Jpo, stock kernel without lagfixes

Yes, I have sensor bug with Star Chart Lite (current version 1.1). Nice app, pity about the bug. Have to uninstall too.

me on vodafone mumbai its been almost 72hrs that the google play store is not showing images .i tweeted to vodafone thrice they said to talk to samsung .guyz is there any solution for this ? and is anyone facing the same issue ?.thnx
Same issue but I guess it's resolved now, vodafone is good at ducking such issues

Go to the apps settings (it shows the app size data size and that) and clear cache
If that doesn't work reboot the phone
If for some reason it still isn't clear the playstore app data under that apps settings in your settings page

its the internet service provider issue... was facing this for a while on Idea network too... it dint show images in play store nor the search suggestions... but as soon as i connected it via home wifi everything worked...
only the network provider can fix this.
Recently installed cyanogenmod and installed few additional application however, starting few days ago, lot of popup with advertisement showing up on main screen which is testing my nerve. These are not in-app popup shows up usually in the app screen. IT shows up on main screen. I am bit not sure on how to get rid of it. Once popup it will disappear if I hit any button therefore it is hard to say where the source is from. There is nothing in the status bar. Anyone has suggestion?

It's not in the play store because it isn't in googles best interest. Go look at the application subforum, you'll find it over there.

Pop up ads
Use AVG AntiVirus. You have a malware app on your phone. You can uninstall the app in 'settings'. The problem is finding the malicious program because the name is cleverly masked to deceive you that is an actual system program. AVG should be able to find the app.
I suggest you scan using bitdefender or avast as well as uninstalling the apps you installed before or do a complete reset. Otherwise you're in bad shape.

Hi Guys, I pulled the Messenger APP from Android L preview. And its working fine in our Moto G for sending and receiving messages.
MMS only not working .... Messenger force closes, when you press the attach button...

Yea i am w8ing for it!
I've been using it since this was posted and I admit I had FC issues. As soon as I deleted the native messaging all, it hasn't FC'ed once. Works like a charm. I am using Falconee. Thanks for the post. Love it!!!

I just bought this for 329 on black friday. One issue I have is on YouTube fullscreen all the controls disappear. Has anyone else have this issue? Also I noticed that it got warm after few minutes of use.

Uninstall the update youtube and use with original apk..
I also hv same problem. After uninstall the update, controls are appeared
I get the same issue happend right after I updated to the new version of YouTube no controls except for when I hit the back button then I get them back that way, After rolling back it went back to normal.
I do like the All Access feature on the new YouTube version though, hope Google will fix it fast.
