[Q] Micromax Android One(A1) Hard Reset caused trouble - Micromax Canvas A1

Hello All,
I have Micromax Android One(A1) AQ4501. There was an issue related to the internal memory so I did a master reset of the phone. The process was successfully completed but the trouble caused is after that.
1) After completing the reset, I restarted my phone and completed all my general setup steps.
2) After that, I opened Play Store and tried to update the Factory Apps like Google Search, Google Camera, Google KeyBoard, YouTube, etc. but it gave me an error saying "This app isn't compatible with your phone".
3) All these apps were updated and were functioning properly before I did the master reset.
Please help me solving this issue as the OTA for Lollipop is already out and I won't be getting it unless and until this issue is solved.
Note: THE AUTO UPDATE option is already ON.
PLEASE HELP ME FAST!! THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT IN ADVANCE!!

I think you should do a factory reset of the phone

Thank you for response sir, but I've tried it thrice but no help.
I've done factory and master rest both. Also went to service center and they did the software upgrade too. BUT still the same.
Any other way?

I had the same issue so I logged into from my other gmail account and then register my device so it worked.

Humm.. Sounds interesting.. Let me try it.. I'll keep you update!!

Nope.. It didn't work..
1. Did factory as well as master rest.
2. Created a new gmail id and.
3. Logged in using new account, and all the same issue.
"Your device isn't compatible with this version"
Any guesses what to do now?
Micromax Service Center is of no help!

what u did with internal memory??
Try to flash pure stock rom once

I've not done anything with the internal memory as the phone is still in warranty. So I can't root it now or else it will void the warranty.
Can flashing the ROM void the warranty? If not, please share the working method to flash the phone. I'll definitely try it sir!

[urgent] Checking whether Warranty has been void!

I bought a Galaxy Note II off a friend's friend yesterday. Loving it, but there's one issue. If I try to update it via Settings->About, I get the error "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available". And the device's status is 'Modified' in Settings->About.
What can be the cause of this? I got this phone in factory resetted condition, and I've factory resetted it myself as well. So it's unrooted now. I'm not sure if it was unrooted before I got it, or about any other modifications actually.
Can you guys help me here, I just want to check whether my warranty still exists or not. Or did the guy I buy it from do something to void the warranty? There must be some way to check. Because this error is still a mystery according to this 10 page thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947305), and I'm probably going to visit the service center.
Did you ever root it ?
If not it can't be factory rooted under any conditions.
Go into download mode and check there.

No I didn't root it, but the guy I bought it from might have rooted it and then factory resetted it before giving it to me.

What does this mean? It can't be factory rooted? And what is download mode?
Was it sealed when you got it ?
Also many people report this issue.
And if it was some official store then 1% chance that you received it rooted.
If it was not some official store then return it to the guy you got it from. He'll know what to do.

How bout you try going into download mode.. see if everything is official and binary count is 0 or 1? I forgot
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Binary counter should be 0.
Turn off your phone.
Then hold home and vol down and power button.

No as I mentioned I got it from a friend's friend, it's around 10-15 days used. So if he rooted it, and then factory resetted it to hide it, my warranty would be void? No way to undo it?

Yep everything seems official, it looks like this one:
http://galaxynote2root.com/wp-conte...nary-counter-rooted-galaxynote2-8-690x366.jpg
So my warranty is intact? What else could be causing this issue of status coming as 'Custom' in the Settings->About?
Some modifications to system partition.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Here's what you do:
You boot into download mode (volume down+home+power) and check. Check every stat and tell them to us. Here are the ones for a 100% unmodified device: CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NO, CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL, SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL (in your case, system status is likely to not be normal)
Factory reset then flash stock rom then factory reset.

Try flashing back everything stock with its stock rom...

[Q] rooting methods for sm-n7502

I know there are a couple of ways to root the non dual sim version, but as the title goes, is there any method for the dual sim variant? TIA!
Sent from my SM-N7502 using XDA Free mobile app
Have you tried root by Chainfire ?
http://download.chainfire.eu/433/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hl3gds-hl3gdsxx-smn7502.zip
Just flash it via Odin as PDA and it should work fine
I'm very much tempted to root as kitkat is nowhere in sight. But just in case kitkat update do come, can I still update OTA?
Factory reset and clearing data is definitely not an option for me.

Once rooted Device status would change from Official to Custom . There is hack to change it back and trick the phone to download OTA but I'm not sure if it would install .
Instead of worrying about all this , I would rather manually flash the firmware via Odin once kitkat is available

You can flash without loosing any data and due to KNOX you'll not be able to downgrade the firmware

Unrooting framaroot

Hi, I received KitKat update yesterday, but after I downloaded the package the flashing OS failed and it said that my device is rooted. So I deleted superuser from system/app/ and the from system/app/bin and select "unroot" gandalf from framaroot. and I also did hard reset so everything got wiped but now when I download the package OTA, my phone stops when flashing starts and says something like "err e10x" I checked my phone whit root checker and it says that my phone has no root access.
Ps. If there is something else to fix this issue that doesnt require Odin, please tell! Thx!

You could flash the KDZ file of the KitKat ROM. But this will erase all data!
How? Can you give me a step by step guide? Thx

Unfortunately you will have to flash the stock image for your Note 2 , to recover your modem information, it happened to me once, and this was my only working solution.
After you do it, you root and install a recovery , then wipe flash everything and install the rom you want
