Hi
There's this Galaxy Note II (N7100) which the owner tried wrong patterns a lot and now the phone is locked and we can't use his Gmail account to unlock it. So I tried to get into Recovery Mode and do a hard reset. SO I turn off the phone hold 'Vol Down+Home+power' the phone turns on shows the samsung galaxy note 2 logo and after one or two seconds, instead of going into recovery mode that logo screen starts flickering (scrambling) and then nothing happens, the screen is black although I'm not sure if it's turned off. So now how can I hard reset? Thanks in advance

hey,try this "you will first have to turn off your device. Once it’s turned off, press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously and keep them pressed until you see the recovery mode. Once you’re there, get your hands off the buttons"

Thanks for the reply man. Well, that's what I've been trying for a long time. I tried it on my Galaxy S III and it worked instantly. But on this one it doesn't work no matter how long I keep the buttons down(I held it for 20 secs or so).

Go into download mode instead. Once there flash a custom kernel via ODIN and then reboot into recovery.

boot into download mode and flash philz recovery via odin . uninstall orevious drivers and fresh install samsung drivers and make sure usb debugging is enabled.
a detailed guide can be found here this will solve your problem of recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801060&postcount=2
Note :
normally, phone should auto-reboot into recovery.
If it reboots into android and your recovery remains stock, repeat above steps and untick "autoreboot" in odin. Once flash is done, keep pressing power button until it reboots (normally will go to recovery)
when in recovery, if you choose option "reboot system now" and you get "yes - disable flash recovery", select that option to avoid stock recovery overwriting cwm

I understand this is a late post, but I hope you can help me out on this one. I have a different smartphone. I have successfully rooted my Galaxy Note GT-N7000, using Method 2 outlined in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217840
After trying to uninstall a Live Wallpaper using Titanium, my phone is experiencing a similar case as OP. I'm stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000 logo.
MY QUESTION IS: will your recommendation work for me also? I am able to boot into download mode. I am confused though where to find "Philz Recovery" ??? Will it be also found where I downloaded the kernel when I rooted my phone?
I downloaded this file for rooting:
PhilZ-cwm6-JPLSB-UAE-5.11.2-signed.zip
over at:
http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=23431#files
Is the Philz Recovery for use in Odin this one?
PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.11.2.tar.md5
I hope you can point me out to the right direction. I'm am quite new with rooting. And trying to save my once buttery smooth Galaxy Note I, GT-N7000 pre Jelly Bean.
Thanks,
Bryan
soft brick??? clueless
I think my lenovo a6000 plus has been softbricked as it doesn't get pass the logo screen. also recovery mode is not opening ( tried every combination). Help me with this. This phone has really checked up my nerves. the reason for flashing this phone as it had a problem of automatically downloading apps without consent, and video apps popping out in the middle of night(time service, monkey test apps), so the only best solution i found was to flash it( tried every other possibility- factory reset, password change...etc everything). Now it has died on me, can't get pass the logo screen. Also connecting the phone to pc gives me multiple drive partitions. Please help.

I have a soft bricked (hopefully) Galaxy Note II that scrambles at the startup logo screen and goes blank. I can hear the startup sound and all on startup but nothing on the screen. I have been at it the whole night trying to get it into recovery mode so I could wipe it clean and reinstall the firmware. Tried CWM, TWRP, Philz Recovery (all using Odin) but nothing can get the phone to startup in recovery mode.
I have reinstalled the firmware as well after rooting it with CF Autoroot (again using Odin). I am sure that I am using the correct versions for this model but I have reached nowhere so far.
Now, I have two constraints:
1. The USB debugging mode is probably not enabled (the phone belongs to an uncle of mine).
2. I cannot do anything or change settings on the phone as the screen is black.
Can someone please help me out with this and let me know how to go about fixing it?
Try this: download the stock ROM from sammobile.com, open Odin, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Flash the ROM. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery, factory wipe, and reboot.

To go Into recovery mode hold Home +Volumen up and Power button , when you see Samsung Logo hold only Home and Vulome up for the next around 20 sec that you See the recovery menu.
Please help me !
I have the same problem, I've took the steps to aquire recovery but nothing happens
On my 8.0 recovery is power+volume up, no home button. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Try downloading an app like " rebooter" from the play store. See if that will get u into it.
Also I use power/vol up to get into recovery.

dude where can I get the recovery? please do share tge link ... I'm having the same problem!!
Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids version (SM-T2105). It is only a Wifi tablet. I never rooted and USB debugging is not enabled (Keep this in mind). It is pure stock firmware. My 9yr old daughter has locked herself out. The Lock Screen password does not work. Because I can not gain access, I do not know exactly what firmware version it has or enable USB debugging (again - keep this in mind). The tablet will not boot to recovery mode, no matter what button combination I use. It only boots back to the Lock Screen. I tried in Regular Mode and Safe Mode. The only other mode that works is Download Mode (for Odin).
I am trying to do a Factory Reset, but I can not get into Recovery Mode. I tried flashing the stock firmware using Odin, but that does not work even after everthing PASSED with green lights (Odin 3.10.7). The tablet just reboots back to the same Lock Screen. Also, because the tablet is not enabled with USB debugging I can not do anything with ADB.
So basically I am stuck on the Lock Screen, and cant get into Recovery Mode in order to do a Factory Reset. Also, Odin flash is not working, even though everything says completed successfully. I have read in another post that other people are experiancing the same issue not being able to get into Recovery Mode (even when the tablet is not locked out and working fine). See this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/help/samsung-galaxy-tab-3-7-kids-t2105-t-t3294954
Can anyone help me. I beleive the tablet is stock in a soft brick that doesn't allow access to Recovery Mode. And the Locked Screen password is preventing me from getting into the table OS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And my 9yr old daughter will be happy again...
Thanks,
ggee
Hello,
I'm not sure which one of these did the trick for me, but I was able to get into recovery mode. I'm not sure if your three tables are rooted or not, but I don't think it matters. Try these two methods:
Method #1:
Technically, I think I just stumbled on to this one after successfully completing Method #2 (below). But it's worth trying it first before moving on to Method #2.
-Hold the Home + Volume Up + Power buttons together at the same time (just like the normal process).
-Now, you will probably need to try this next step a couple of time before you get it right. This is because it happens pretty fast and you need to time it perfectly.
-Notice that when the screen turns on, the actual first thing that happens is that the the screen backlight turns on and glows first. This happens first and a split second later the first Samsung logo flashes.
-You need to let go of all three buttons at the same time as soon as you see the backlight turn on, but before the Samsung logo flashes.
This is the sweet spot, and it happens pretty fast. But once you do it at the right time, the tablet will go black again and then the recovey mode will show up. It works for me every time.
Method #2:
I thought somehow the recovey mode portion of the firmware had become corrupter somehow. So I decided to flash a custom recovery using Odin (since at that time I hadn't stumbled onto Method #1 yet). Make sure to download and flash the CWM or TWRP .tar file for Odin (I personally have always liked CWM over TWRP).
-Make sure you have all the correct USB drivers for the tablet installed on your computer.
-Open Odin and load the .tar file that you downloaded into the PDA or AP slot (depending on your Odin version).
-Let Odin check the m5d verification for successful authorization.
-Once Odin is ready, then boot the tablet into Download Mode (Home + Volume Down + Power button)
-Connect the table to a USB cable that is attached to your computer's main USB port.
-Odin should now recognize that the table it connected to a valid COM port.
-Click <Start> button on Odin and it should flash the costum recovey .tar file pretty quickly.
-The tablet will simultaneously flash a progress bar and start to automatically reboot (also pretty quickly).
-Disconnect the tablet from the USB cable now.
If the tablet does not automatically reboot to the new custom recovery screen, then just power off the tablet completely. Wait 30 seconds, and then boot the table to recovery mode use the Method #1 shown above. You should now be able to go into the new custom recovery mode you flashed with Odin (CMW or TWRP). It should all work now.
From this point you can download and install SuperSU to add root (if you want to).
Let me know if this works for you.

galaxy tab 3 model GT-P5210 rebooting cant enter recovery mode what can i do i reinstall software it doese the same things need to fix it
So i decided to flash CWM recovery on my Note 3 via CWM (I had phillz recovery installed already), now the phone just wont boot up. It keeps saying Recovery Booting above the Note 3 logo for 2 seconds, then the phone restarts again showing the same message. I pulled the battery out and then inserted it back in but it boots the phone automatically with the same recovery booting message and restarts every 2 seconds. I cannot boot into recovery or put the phone in Download mode. Have I finally screwed my phone up? Any help would be very appreciated.
Can you Boot into download mode and Odin to stock?

I cannot. I have the battery of the phone out right now. As soon as i put the battery in the phone, it tries to reboot into recovery without me even pressing the power button. Then it again shuts off and tries to restart every 2-3 seconds.

Just some additional info, I flashed CWM recovery through Rom Manager. After flashing it, it asked to reboot the phone. As soon as the phone rebooted, i started having this issue.
I'm in a similar situation. I used to be able to use the phone controls (power-home-Vol Up) to be able to go into recovery mode, but even that has stopped functioning. The only way to get the phone to boot normally after that is to pull battery, put the phone in download mode and then cancel download mode to boot up normally.

I think the only way to get your phone into download mode now would be
to get a USB Jig from eBay or some online store.
They are under $5 bucks shipped.
Once you have that you would simply remove the battery from your
phone and then plug in the Jig before putting the battery back in.
The usb Jig is basically meant to be used for those
phones which will not go into download mode any
other way.
I have a Jig and as soon as it's plugged into the phone when the phone
is powered down it goes into download mode within 2-3 seconds.
Soon as its in download mode you can remove the jig and start a
clean Odin flash of the official stock firmware for your phone.
Good luck!

Thanks for that USB Jig suggestion. I guess that is my last hope.

Per suggestion from Misterjunky, I've now been successful in installing the Stock Tmobile 4.4.2 NB4 formware that I downloaded from sammobile. I used Odin 1.85 to install that on the Note 3. So far, the phone looks functional again.
So pressing power, vol down and menu doesn't get you into download? Have you tried holding them for at least 30 seconds?
I had this happen to me when I messed up flashing twrp. Pull the battery for 30 minutes, then put the battery in while holding power home and vol down.
That's what worked for me.

I encountered the same issue after flashing CWM Touch to my SM-N900T (Note3-Aus) running Infamous Rom on the BioShock kernel. After being stuck in the loop for a fair while I removed the battery, went to grab a cup of tea before completely raging at the phone, went back and put the battery back in. The phone did not boot automatically this time, a good sign I thought to myself. I then went on to hold down VolumeDown + Home + Power to see if I could get into download mode. I successfully booted into download mode and selected the reboot option. My Note3 then went on to boot successfully. Hopefully this helps :fingers-crossed:
I recently had the same issue......heres step by step:
1. with the battery OUT, grab the usb and plug into phone and computer
2 press volume down, power, and home at the same time.you should be in download mode at this point, and just press volume up to get into download mode.
3. open kies. and at this point you'd want to restore back sto stock as follows:
4. go to tools, firmware upgrade and intialisation
5. follow the on screen direction and then just wait.
6. if you want to re root, then feel free to once the phone is up and running.
i have tried this method so many times and hasnt failed me yet. IF this has helped anyone, please press the thank you button!:fingers-crossed:
I resolved the problem by flashing the phone back to T-mobile stock using Odin. In my case, the recovery was corrupted and hence the issue. After flashing back to stock, I was then able to root and install a TWRP recovery successfully.

Same problem has happened to me, do you guys know if the jigs are universal? The ones I see on amazon and ebay dont list the note 3 at all so I just want to be safe. Since upgrading to nf9 the recoveries have given me major issues, TWRP was really buggy so I switched back to CWM and this happens.
Scratch that, just rebooted. I would still like to know if its universal though, in case this happens again. Doesnt hurt to be prepared
You're a life saver, Thanks a ton

Note 3 (sm-n900w8) will not go into recovery mode after CWM Flash
Helllo Sorry if this is not in the proper place I have not had much experience posting.
my Phone is a Note 3 (sm-n900w8) Canada (rogers)
running Lollipop 5.0
base version n900w8vlu2doc4
kernel 3.4.0-4348112
[email protected]#1
build number ..... lrx21v.n900w8vlu2doc4
ap: n900w8vlu2doc4
I Flashed CF Auto root first (CF-Auto-Root-hltecan-hlteub-smn900w8.tar) All went well and I got root access
Then I Flashed CWM ( n900-cwm-recovery-6.0.5.0-kk_L5.0(0812)) and all seemed to go well but .. I could not get into
recovery mode. when I pressed vol up + Home + power key at the same time it went directly to download modes second screen..( the one that is ready for you to hit start on odin.) ...
I was able to reboot and try several times with the same result.
I then went and got the CWM app and tried to enter form there to only get stuck on the download mode without being able to reset.
then I flashed the CWM again and was back to being able to reset but not being able to get into recovery mode.
I updated CWM recovery setup from the app to the latest 6.0.4. and then tried to back up my current rom ... this let to a boot loop that said something like ..... Kernel is not seandroid enforcing...
once again I was able to get into download mode and had to re flash CWM and get back to my original problem ... not being able to get into download mode
Can anyone help me figure this out
Thanks

Follow these instructions implicitly.
Hold POWER + VOL DOWN + HOME.
As soon as it restarts change to VOL UP while still holding the other buttons.
Do NOT let go of any of the buttons until recovery boots.

That's what I've been doing exactly but for some reason it just goes right back to the logo screen. I was able to get into the recovery mode one time out of 100 and I went through the process of factory reset but it didn't solve the problem. Now I can't get back into it. It's weird because I have no problem getting into the download mode pressing the volume down but volume up doesn't seem to work. Not sure why or what to do
I'd try reflashing stock recovery then try booting into it again.
If it flashes then you should be able to boot into it.

You haven't bricked anything, there could be any number of reasons why it won't boot past the logo.
Easiest way to resolve it would be to reinstall the stock rom.
The second image is download mode.

That's the exact same situation I'm in. Every time I restart it I can't get passed that damn Samsung logo screen. I tried the whole flash with Odin process but I realized that when I connect the tablet to the computer, I get an "MTP Device Driver Failed" message so I'm assuming since the computer doesn't recognize it, even tried with KEIS and it doesn't, that I'm unable to complete the Odin job because that goes until 'Initialization' and stops there. Were you able to fix yours?

No I can't. I've tried a thousand times in all different sequences of holding the three buttons and it just doesn't go. It's SM-T800. They screen shots on the first page is exactly what I get. The two files below should boot you directly into recovery as soon as you start the tablet if you can flash them. Flash with Odin from the AP slot.
Make sure you put the device into DOWNLOAD mode first then connect your usb cable!
You can then do a factory reset and then try and flash the stock rom.
Stock recovery
Twrp recovery

Yeah I tried that too but when I connect the tablet to my comp, I get this 'Samsung Mobile MTP Device Failed' message so my comp doesn't even recognize the tablet. I even tried connecting with KEIS but that doesn't see it either because of that error. Idk if that's related to this issue that I'm having but I'm assuming that since the comp doesn't recognize the tablet because of that error, it won't finish the ODIN job. I get up to 'Initialization' and nothing after. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung drivers and that didn't work either. Seems I can't catch a break here

Mtp, kies and anything else is irrelevant, they are OS dependent.
Just put the tablet into download mode. Download mode works in boot loader mode. No need for the os.

Ok we need to take this step by step as theres something amiss here.
DID YOU AT ANY POINT WHILE THE TABLET WAS WORKING ENABLE 'REACTIVATION LOCK'?
1. Ensure the Samsung drivers are installed (important) Samsung usb driver
2. Before connecting anything to the PC put the tablet in DOWNLOAD mode first.
3. Plug the USB cable into a USB 2 port
4. Wait for the 'ADDED' message (if you dont get this it wont work)
5. Load the tar file into the AP slot.
6. Click START
7. If it doesn't start to flash reboot the tablet directly back into DOWNLOAD mode without touching anything else then unplug and replug the USB cable back in.
8. If it still doesn't flash try ODIN 3.07 ODIN
9. Report back and post a screenshot (if it doesn't work).

I know for a fact that I never enabled the Reactivation Lock.. But you know, after literally days and hours including my entire weekend just searching the internet and trying every possible fix scenario that people have tried, I just gave in and sent it to Samsung this afternoon to have them fix it. Nothing I was doing seemed to work and I do believe I tried everything within my little knowledge to try. Let me ask you though, when I get it back in normal working order, would going through the steps to install the TWRP recovery and a ROM prevent me from being in this situation again or at least be able to actually fix it on my own?
If you dont mind tripping Knox and possibly warranty then I believe installing custom recovery is one of the best tools you can Install to a device.
It can get you back to a working state in minutes if you make a full backup.
It's a no brainer to install custom recovery if you intend to root and modify the device in any way.
I have a SM-G925T and it started boot loop today. I tried to get into recovery mode by holding Power+VOL UP+Home but that does nothing. When I tried to go into download mode by holding Power+VOL DOWN+Home, it works fine.
Symptom:
Phone boot loops displaying only the very first Samsung screen with Galaxy s6 edge (no samsung boot animation). Once this very first logo screen comes on, the screen goes black and loops again. Even if I plug the OEM Samsung USB charging cable, screen does not show the battery charging screen, just the same Samsung Galaxy s6 edge screen.
I have already tried the following:
1. Flash stock rom using ODIN, flashed successfully, still boot loop
2. Holding Power+Vol DOWN to reset, still boot loop
3. Flash stock rom using ODIN again, flashed successfully, still boot loop
4. Let battery drain, waited 3 hours for screen to boot loop and battery died, plugged back USB charging cable back, still boot loop
5. Flick the power button many times to loosen any dirt, still boot loop
6. Hold the power button for 1 minute, 2 minute, and 3 minute, still boot loop
Please help, any advice very appreciated!
Hm, I had this 2 month ago with a S4...
Same thing, I go to my provider he checked the Handy and said I have a defect on my Mainboard... He use dos tools for Handy analysis... I flash stock with Odin, too... Success but no boot...

Hold the button combo pwr, vol down and home as if you want to go into download mode, but try to time it that immediately before the download mode screen comes on, use the Vol up, home and pwr combo and keep holding it down, till it goes into recovery. You have to time it so that right begore the download screen lites up you shift to the recovery mode 3 button combo and hold it till it goes into recovery. This works for me and how I do it all the time whether using stock recovery or TWRP.

Thanks for your suggestion Docmjldds but that didn't work either. I think I timed it within 0.5 second of the download mode screen. I always tried cancelling out of download mode and quickly holding the combo vol up, home, and pwr immediately after it and it that did not work either.

I have the solution for you my friend. Flash TWRP using oding (in download mode), then from TWRP install or flash this rom(for this you need to download the rom, connect your phone to the pc and while you have TWRP open in your screen put the file of the rom in the phone)
Rom right here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ied-development/noble-nougat-rom-1-0-t3565293
This works because this rom comes with its own bootloader and kernel.

I'm using Odin v3.11.1
Tried both stock ROM version
- G925TUVS5EQA2_G925TTMB5EQA2_TMB
- G925TUVU5EQC2_G925TTMB5EQC2_TMB
Stock recovery was flashed successfully as part of ROM above
I've not tried installing TWRP, could you please point me to where I can find it and how to install it? Also, would installing it trip up my knox?
I also flashed recovery.img by itself by extracting that from the ROM and converting it to recovery.tar.md5 using tar-Tool and successfully flashed recovery only but still no difference.

Flashing TWRP WILL trip knox. So, if that's a concern to you, then not much more I can tell you about that. BUT.....3.12.3 is latest ODIN. I would use THAT. Then try flashing complete stock firmware from download mode. QC2 being the last. Here is latest ODIN I attached.

I used the ODIN 3.12.3 that you posted and flashed QC2 again (Passed/succeeded). Still boot loops.
I can easily get into download mode but not recovery mode. I don't know of a way to power off, just reset by holding power button or (power button and vol down). I just realized how ridiculous this sounds but is there any way to actually power off the phone without loading android and holding power button, and selecting power off? As far as I know, there's only soft reset or hard reset.
I'm pretty sure my hardware buttons work fine since I need to hold power button, vol down, and home at the same time to enter download mode perfectly. Then I have to press volume up button to enter download mode. So all the buttons that's needed to enter recovery mode (power, volume down, and home) works.
Wonder if bad battery can be be the cause? I don't get any charging indicator (screen with battery animation) when I plug phone to USB charger. Seems to be able to hold a charge but not that long, no way for me to check battery percentage though.

It's your only option right now. I was where you were and I have the same phone 925T. I flashed the rom I told you about then I flashed the stock nougat rom that just came out 2 days ago. I'm running the stock nougat and I'm happy at the moment. Battery and performance are great. I tried flashing all of the stock roms using ODIN and nothing would work but flashing that rom I linked you before worked and then I was able to go back to stock. Trip Knox sure but you will have a working phone again.
The reason why I went back to stock is because I need WIFI calling.

Before doing all this, if you don't want to void your warranty.
1-Download the stock NOUGAT, flash it using odin and then if it lets you go in recovery mode, factory reset your phone then try to boot. Give it 5-10 minutes to make sure it doesn't actually boot. I know the first boot takes a while so you will be stuck at the t-mobile logo. If after 10 minutes doesn't go on then try number 2.
2-Having the phone in download mode use the software smart switch.
Follow the instructions in this video.

If none of that works, either use your warranty or

So I just flashed the latest nougat stock firmware with ODIN. Flashed passed/succeeded. No difference, still boot loop Still cannot get into recovery mode but can get into download mode fine like before.
My phone is out of warranty so I'm just gonna buy a replacement battery off ebay and see if that makes any difference. Hope someone has other ideas. I'll use TWRP as a last resort. Maybe that will work but I don't know how not being able to get into stock recovery would be fixed by installing TWRP custom recovery. I suspect I would not be able to get into TWRP recovery either.

Why are you so concerned about tripping knox, since you are out of warranty anyways. And BTW it's a myth that a rooted phone loses warranty. I have had plenty of my phones covered under warranty and they were ALL rooted. With TWRP installed, you can use the advanced wipe actions to basically factory reset and load either Nougat or MM stock. I am rooted using stock just released Android 7 for TMobile firmware. Odin Firmware. Odin TWRP. Then install anything you like. Yes...knox tripped. Yes, you will lose Samsung Pay. For me not a big deal. Otherwise just fine. The warranty comany has to prove that your act of rooting caused the issue the phone has. Samsung will tell people that phone warranty is voind if rooted. But it's ONLY a line they are told to state. Again, I have used Samsung warranty direct...NOT TMobile and obtained free warranty service and my phones were rooted.

The biggest concern about tripping knox for me is that I lose Samsung Pay. It's actually the most useful thing I have on the phone. I can do pretty much every thing on my old phones that I need but it doesn't have samsung pay. I understand it's useless for most people, but for me it's the most important feature.
Do you think i would still have the same problem getting into recovery even if I flashed TWRP? Right now I can't even load stock recovery.

I really have no idea why you are having this issue. The one time my phone was so screwed up was I could ONLY fix by doing a complete factory reset including internal memory and that was via TWRP. Installing TWRP WILL kill Knox, therefore no more Samsung Pay...period. Have you tried smart switch out of curiosity?

I think my problem is worst than what you had before because I cannot even get into recovery mode not just a normal boot loop. This issue is boot loop and not being able to get into recovery mode.
I have not used smart switch yet. I was going to do an emergency software recovery but that would basically just wipe all internal memory and flash the stock rom. I thought I could save some of my data by just flashing stock rom with ODIN, which flashed perfectly every time but still boot loops.

The only thing I can think of is that your setup is so corrupted you basically have no choice here. It's kind of the old adage about knowing it's important to occasionally back up the internal data, but just never get to it. I'm kind of paranoid to every now and then make sure I have copies of stuff around. I know it's zero solace for you, but without getting into recovery mode, there is no way to get to the Internal stuff that I know of. I'm assuming you never used smartswitch to backup or just use a computer to copy paste Internal stuff to a folder for saving.

Try this stock Recovery. I found a post I made almost two years ago with a link to this file. Use the password to open the file and try ODIN again

Really appreciate your help. I'm starting to think more that it's a bad battery now. Hope that's just it instead of the main board.
I left phone on charge for a few hours (constantly boot looping the whole time). I'm able to power off the phone by holding Power button and Volume down for 10 seconds. Screen is completely off, no boot looping.
Step1: When try to simply turn phone on by holding power button for three seconds, the first samsung galaxy s6 edge logo screen pops up but then goes away and phone looks to be off. Like it's trying to get power from the battery but can't.
Step2: If I keep holding the power button, that first logo screen would turn on and off as if it's a boot loop. If I let go, then phone is off again.
Step3: If I go into download mode and select Cancel (restart phone), it goes into boot loop with only first logo screen again. It loops until I hard reset by holding power button and volume down again for 10 seconds. Then phone is off. Same thing repeats if I go back to Step1 again.
