Can I set last viewed screen to appear? - Moto 360

I like one feature on my Gear S that I can set it to show the last screen I looked it to appear on arm raise. I am a jogger so when jogging to lift arm and see music control to skip next track is a biggie vs trying move through setting when running is harder for me.
Is this possible?

I believe if you accidentally dismissed a screen, you can undo it by swiping up, but you have to be quick. You should see a screen like this.

What I am looking for is the last screen to show and now the clock screen so if I am on music control and start jogging when I raise my arm or press the button I see the "last" screen that was active not the clock...

Expanded touch screen

I'm not sure if this is something that's already been observed, but it's certainly not something I've seen in any of the One X's promotional material.
Essentially, the touch screen seems to actually extend to below the screen, encompassing all the buttons. That is, the buttons actually aren't discrete tap zones, but rather part of the digitizer that simply doesn't have a screen behind it.
This can be seen on the (stock) lock screen, where you can pull down the ring, and still manipulate it's position while your finger's over the top of the buttons.
Anyway, I'm not sure if there's any practical way that this can be used (not being a developer myself), but it does seem like it could be used for gestures, as we saw a few years ago on the Palm Pre.
It was like this on my DHD too. It's awesome for games as long as you don't tap while swiping across the home button.

This is the behaviour I've seen on almost every android-phone I've had.
Its because the whole front panel is a digitizer so instead of manufacturing separate parts for the buttons they can cut costs and make one part.
Noticed this when I scrolled past the bottom of the screen while picking music to listen to. Bloody nice feature, I've never seen a phone do that before. It's also neat because it seems that when I drag up from the bottom to close the notification bar, the phone knows that I hit the home button but that I meant to drag the notification bar up, so I don't accidentally go to the homescreen.
I had noticed this soon after getting my HOX. It's really handy, though I wouldn't really call it a feature.

Side Lock Button

So I found out real quick last night while playing with my 6 month old baby that this watch needs some sort of lock. When she was squirming around in my arms the Google Voice commands opened a dozen times and she tried to share some of my notifications and reply with Voice for a couple of text messages. And this was all within the first 15 minutes.
I was wondering if there was anyone else experiencing this and their thoughts. I saw a couple of lock screen apps out there but I was thinking with the Moto 360 it would be really nice if that side button was a lock / unlock button for when you want the watch to remain in the ambient mode and not wake up from screen taps. I know that the button switches the watch to ambient mode but it does not seem to lock the screen from touches. Might be a nice idea for future implementation as I have not used the side button for anything yet as the screen wakes when I lift the watch to my face.
What are your thoughts?
this exact thing happened to me yesterday! I have an 8 month old and the watch just attracted him lol
I don't have a creature, but I too would like for the watch to only activate when I want it to. I want to have to press the button to turn the screen on.
Have you guys tried Showear or Lockable? Both are free but Lockable charges for the pin unlock feature.
I don't want just a screen lock, but a lock that completely keeps the screen turned off until I press the hard button on the side. (To not waste battery when I definitely don't want the screen to turn on by touch and/or accelerometer). Does an app exist for this?

Have you tried to shower with it on?
It thinks the water is you touching it, and it goes crazy!

That is exactly what I am looking for. Something that keeps it in the Ambient mode until I press the side button and locking the touch screen. It seems like an easy enough option because the button really has no other use as you can turn the screen on and off by tilting your hand. So it would probably serve better as a locking button.

I do not shower with a watch on so I have not tried it. I am sure it would go crazy. Another reason for a lock button.
Yea a lock app or something would be nice mine is so sensitive I could sneeze and it turns it on..hope something comes about soon

I have come across an app called Baby Time which locks the watch and only allows a specific swipe gesture of up twice and then down twice. Kinda gets the task done but it would be a lot simpler if it was activated by the button on the Moto 360. Another comment is that it replaces the watch face you have with one created in the app which for some reason does not seem to have an option out of the 24 hour clock. I will use for now but I am hopeful that something better will come along. Also have to start the app by saying "Start Baby TIme"
Lol!

Any setting to only show watch face on double tap?

I am trying to use my Moto 360 with Sleep as Android, and would like for the watch screen only to come on when I double tap the face. Is there a setting or app that would allow for this kind of setting?
Thanks
I would also really like to be able to disable the flick of the wrist Action for turning on the Screen. Is this possible? I would like for the Screen to only come on when i press the button.
Same here, the #1 functionality they need to add into this right now are some settings to adjust how/when the watch face turns on
cool

[Q] Where to submit feature requests?

Is there any place (or a best place?) to submit feature requests for Wear? I can post here but I do not know if anyone from Google will get the message. OTOH, I've seen some mentions of feature requests here and other members posted apps or tips and tricks to meet the need. The features I'm thinking of are:
- double tap on the screen or the button to bring up the most recent app. (Someone else mentioned this and I really like it.) I use my watch when running so to bring up my running app I need to (1) opening the screen, (2) expanding the notification, (3) swipe to the side to get the "open app" screen and (4) tap on the "open screen button." This is a real PITA while running and is further exacerbated by profuse perspiration confusing the watch WRT my touch. It would be nice if the app could cooperate and return to the last active screen as well. An alternative to this would to tie a particular app to the double tap via configuration entry.
- Ability to turn the screen off during charging. The 'tips and tricks' answer to this is just too involved when I'm ready to slip into bed! Maybe if I could program or script the actions... There are times when the screen turns off when I place the watch in charger and that would be fine as a configuration option. Other times it seemed like I can do that by palming the screen or tapping the button (but this doesn't normally work.) That would be useful too.
- Single button press to activate the button on a screen. Back to my use case for running... It can be difficult to get the pause/stop button to register due to perspiration. This one is a little problematic because it conflicts with the existing function to turn the screen off with a button tap. However palming the screen with sweaty hands seems to be easily recognized vs. scrolling or tapping a button.
I'd like to have an option to have the mic on the watch turn on when accepting a call from the watch. There are times when my phone is upstairs and I get an incoming call on my watch. It would be nice to be able to answer the call and give the person on the other line a heads up that you need a second or two to get your phone. Once the call is accepted on the watch, there could be a button that transfers the live mic to the phone.

Just learned I hate s10+ & android

I just learned I hate s10+ & android
S10+:
Uninstalled bixby using adb. Button still remains.
The orientation of volume keys and that damn bixby button that i had to create a samsung account to disable it. While powering the device i need to grab the other side with my fingers and squeeze which the volume keys are
Samsung phone app: on speaker screen sleeps after 10 or so seconds.
Found an option called smart stay. enabled that and found lift to wake option..
no way to disable face recognition to open up the screen to the lock screen. I end up hitting the power button to turn the screen on it gets turned on by seeing a face right after that I hit the button and it Powers off this is in a matter of seconds. can't break a habit of powering on the screen with the power button. And that's if the face recognition works. Sometimes it doesnt turn on. There is a way to disable this but face rec to unlock the phone has to be enabled, defeats the purpose.
Trying turn screen off, end up taking a screenshot.
Battery sucks.
When you grab the phone watching something horizontal, the palm covers the bottom speaker.
?Now i really hate s10+, no aptx hd support?

Android "10"
Autofill fighting each other, Android, google chrome and lastpass auto fill is a disaster.
i find myself double tapping on the screen, i see the button as an example get tapped & button gets like shaded as if pressed, gotta tap again.
The clipboard, select all moves from the original place and jumps to "more" for more clipboard options.
the cursor upside down gps logo drag is stupid, draws up a magnifying glass, very irritating.
voice to text is just bad.
Some times highlight something, the clipboard does not popup, gotta grab the page n scroll it, clipboard pops up.
Google suggestions & auto correction sucks.
Battery sucks.
No screen protector, holding down on a field to paste, gotta hold field 2 or three times for paste clipboard pops up.

I'll update this op as I go long or if I recall any bloops.

The only issues I am having with Android 10 is AT&T not knowing how to properly roll out an update before getting rid of all the bugs.
Last Pass is finally usable on Android 10. Not sure why your having problems with it.....

Android Poops allover Crapple. So much more you can do with Open Source. Customisation and apps designed to do specific things that the IPhone can only dream of.
Id rather have a phone i can personalize rather than be held hostage by Apple and limited software .

I have been Android user since the beginning and have a 2nd device which has been an iPhone for 4 years.
Android is superior to iOS in many many ways. The thing is, for the average Joe, the person who will use Verizon's Message+ app just because it was installed, for this user iOS is a better option. Simply works and also simple... no carrier crap.
I know a lady, had the IPhone 6, but really liked the look of the S7 or S8 , cant remember which, she only had it for a month, but she is like theres too much stuff on this to understand, so she went back to iPhone, then decided the IPhone was boring and migrated back to the S9.
As for performance, my partner's friend has the latest iPhone and when they are on a call together in messenger her friend keeps dropping out, my partner has the Samsung A50 because she dosent like curved edges. There never seems to be issues with other people in messenger.
And i think most governments use iPhones because they can't be modified by the average person. And this is why apple sales get their quota, government organizations and Reporter's. Even Mr Trumpty prefers his Samsung over IPhone.
This thread is just weird. If there are multiple apps that handle the same call on Android then you are presented with a prompt by the OS to select a default app to handle that function and then going forward that app will be the one to answer the call when an action triggers that function so I don't understand how this user is getting multiple clipboard apps getting triggered by the clipboard function.

The phone turns off because the proximity sensor flashes so your ear doesn't cut people off

LOLWUTT? Just take the phone back and get something else because clearly you don't have a single clue what you're doing or you're trolling.
Only complain I have is that my 3-4 sot equates to 60-80% usage of the battery. I've cleared cache, put most apps to sleep, no gos, no wifi (at work no wifi) no media except Spotify to and from work (1hr total) no nothing autosync.
I'm sick of it. Makes me miss my old phones more because I could leave those things on and get 2 days avg out of them before charging, and that includes watching Netflix, Hulu, YouTube or my Plex server

There is an option in settings > biometrics and securtity> face id > "stay in lock screen" after the phone is unlocked by face-unlock.
You just toggle that switch on.
If you toggle this on, next time you press the power button, the phone will get into the lock screen, it will unlock (if it reads your face), but it will stay in lock screen (so as you can read your notifications etc.). You will have to scroll up to get into the home screen.
I suppose that's what you want to do, correct?

Can you please explain what you are trying to do?
You want to press the power button and not get into home screen, but stay in Lock screen, correct?
If you don't enable face id, it will not unlock and take you to home screen directly. It will stay in lock screen till you unlock it either by the fp scanner or the pin etc.
If you want to have face id enabled, but not get into home screen directly, you toggle the switch I told you in my previous post.
So what is it that you want to do?
He's trying hard to troll, you just covered every other sensible option.
