I'm sorry that we didn't update in XDA thread.
My phone (Optimus 3D) doesn't ring with XDA notifications, so I can't receive your replies well.
(Maybe Greenify...? But I bought Donation Version, and I set GCM settings...)
Anyway...blahblah...we will update ROMs for Korea Optimus G Pro (F240X) soon, with CarbonROM, AOSPA, CM11, and Dokdo-Project.
See you guys soon!
P.S.
How much people do you use Korea OGP?

Okay. I'm from Philippines. Samsung is still at top when it comes to sales, since most people are affected by the "popularity" of it. While LG is not that much patronized, due to poor commercials and ads. Only techie people knows what is the best brand to buy. For me, LG outwits Samsung. Personal opinion only.

Aha...
In Korea, Samsung is best too, and LG always tries to catch it, but...
You know, I think LG misses something always.
G3 has a QHD and Snapdragon 800, which cause some lags.
Optimus LTE2 was a flagship device, but only 1 update comes out (ICS - JB 4.1.2), and never comes the next.
But LG's UI and Convinience are much better than Samsung's.
Yeah, yeah.
Anyway, we will try to upload it as fast as possible, so wait until next week. (Maybe faster than that.)

...Nexus 4
The Optimus G looks awesome but I am on the fence on buying this because of LG's track record of updating their devices and lock bootloaders. But since the Optimus G is what the Nexus 4 is based off of, will development be a lot smoother than Lg's other phones? I am coming from the Epic 4G and they had some great development over there because of the close resemblance to the Nexus S. I am hoping this will be the case for the Optimus G.
What are your thoughts?
If we can get around the bootloader I think it will be. Assuming we can and I get it, I'll do some development. (I did some over at sdx for awhile).
I contacted lg about that and this was their response
No, at this time the bootloader is locked and there are no plans for the release of a developer edition.

"At this time"...maybe they'll rethink it. :/
I've been wondering the same thing. My EVO 4G is long past its prime and I'm trying to decide between the Optimus G and the GS3, since the Nexus 4 isn't getting CDMA anytime soon.
The GS3 already has a great development community, but the LGOG has much more potential if the bootloader gets unlocked.

*sigh* I really hope we can get the bootloader unlock. I think LG purposely responded like that to sway you into buying it. They want sales afterall and will most likely imply that they will unlock it when they won't.

Exactly, I was about to get the GS3 for the development on it. But if we can just get the bootloader unlock, the LGOG can be just as great.

Are there any news about that? I would really like to buy the Optimus G, especially after what happened with the Nexus 4...
But I definitely can't take another Optimus Speed like update oddysey. 1 month after the official Google update is out should be the maximum time, until Cyanogenmod or AOSP is running on the Optimus G.
The next question would be: If I order it from the US, which model will work in Germany?

I'm more concerned with the updates, because always waiting for LG to upload the source won't work for me, as we all know how long that can take... Or is this no concern with the Snapdragon and the fact that the G is pretty close to the Nexus 4?

I'm pretty sure we can use the same source of the Nexus 4, beside the camera and LTE, our hardware is basically the same. Like I said, the only real problem will be getting LTE and camera working on custom roms.

If I'm not mistaken, LTE is already embedded into the code for AOSP roms like Cyanogenmod and AOKP, so there won't be a total, ground-up code write like there was for WiMax drivers. I could easily be wrong about this, but from following the AOSP progress on my own device and on the SGS3, LTE progress has seemed to go a LOT faster than WiMax ever did. Then again, it could be because maintainers could use code build from other devices (i.e. ATT One X, VZ/ATT SGS3) and it'd fairly easily transfer, since the radios utilized were the same.

Well actually as of late LG was pretty good with updates. I took my lg 4x HD from Europe over to the USA and this phone was updated to jelly bean even thought it wasn't over the air rather then with the lg software it still was updated. So I would say that mist likely international non carrier branded versions, could possible see an update. Carrier branded version's on the other hand specially in the USA ? I wouldn't guarantee on that. That's why we can be thankful if developers provide us with the newest software when carrier and also manufacture NOT.

Personally I think it is ridiculous for any manufacture to abandon a flagship before atleast 1 year of regular updates. As the xda community, we should make enough noise with LG so that they take note and deliver updates for some time to come ..not sure how but...maybe Facebook / twitter will be the place to start

No, the most powerful recognized developers in their monthly meeting in a secret location decided that the G3 will be ignored and all mentioning will lead to a permaban.
There will be no development for the G3!
Like the phone never existed.
It name equals to an iPhone in these parts.
....You can't predict those things
However the G3 is not a worth bump for most of the ppl in here.
Would say you should have stayed with the G2 in the first place.
But my best guess G3 will have a better future in here as the current Flex. Hopefully not as good G2 because I do not plan to go to the G3
