Anyone know of a mod or app to increase the volume output on my desire hd. I also have a Samsung galaxy s and the volume on that is double that of my desire hd.
I also keep missing calls because the max volume isn't high enough.
Cheers Dan

you can use DSPmanager if your phone is rooted. DSPmanager helps to increase the volume for calls, media etc.... there is a thread about it on the HTC Desire HD development forum.
alternately you can download a sound editor program on your pc, increase the loudness of the ringtone/music and upload the edited version back on the phone.
Thanks for the reply ill give dspmanager a go now.
Thanks again Dan
Seem to remember that ROMs for other devices had similar problems, and that it may be possible to edit libadudio.so and some other files, but since I'm not a developer I don't know if it is true.
Is DSP manager the only solution?
I often have problems with hearing what the person on the other side says.
This should have been reported to HTC, as I have not had this problem before with other phones. (Not even the HTC Magic)
But isnt it confirmed that DSP Manager drains the battery??
Dspmanager might cause higher then usual battery drain on cyanogenmod, not sure if it affects sense roms.

DSPManager does cause higher drain some people have even reported 3 times the normal drain.
Than DSP even though it solves the problem for me, is not a good solution.
I have managed to live with the volume for a couple of months now, but I hope that there is an other solution on the way.
I have had this too, i can "fix" it by rebooting, or playing music with the HTC music player and then changing the equalizer settings (from dolby and back)
Is it possible to increase the speaker volume a little, as these are not providing one. Or will future development make tweaks to do so? Ive tried Faux sound with Elemental kernel and it has no effect. Does anyone have a preference toward either mod?

Viper4Android increases the volume substantially, and there are two other sound boost mods that work, one in the harmon kardon thread that is almost too loud, and even affects the earpiece.
This is the volume boost one I like, although its very loud, linked in the Harmon Kardon thread

Hi, i wanted to volume up my m8's speakers, i have Viper rom, and V4A installed, but i noticed that Htc One m7 is better on speakers than M8, because of IntenseBLAST mod provided to m7, is there a way to volume up my speakers? There must be a way, this intense blast mod doesnt work for m8 cuz M8 doesnt have Beats audio, can someone help here?
Thanks in advance.

There is a mixer file you can mess with manually to boost the volume, but it will create noise/distortion so its not worth it.
What mixer? Can U help me a little with it?
So it seems that M7 is louder on speakers than M8? Now im sad I like this phone (M8), the sound on headphones is great, on speakers too, but a little louder would be enough for me, maybe i could volume up the speakers without the distortion, just a little, would U help?
Thanks for fast reply.
Could someone guide me to edit some files responsible for speaker volume and how to edit them? I want to try so much to look how the efects would be.
Thanks so much for Your help.

Turn on Playback Gain Control in V4A and set the effect strength to how loud you want it (Slight, Moderate, or Extreme)
more loud speakers?
i have noticed that, sense roms are not to loud, you can try to install a pure android rom like cyanogenmod, liquidsmooth, carbon rom.
you will notice that the speakers will sound very loud my friend..
honestly i love sense and would like to see a sound mod to gain the perfect loudness on my M8

This only work on headphones, not on speaker, Ofc if U have set minimal loudness 1/15 in your UI and apply the gain in V4A then u will notice volume boost even on speaker, but if ur on Max in UI 15/15 then the volume wont boost. See for yourself i have checked it all already.
Cheers.

Hey, you have to go into the init.d tweaks and in several areas, change a few settings from false to true, and so on. If V4A is installed, it will contradict the pre-installed "Soundboost" software and cause distortion. I think the tweak is to turn LPA decode off., or to false. I'm in the middle of firmware updates otherwise I would post a screenshot or more particular answer. I will update the specifics soon for you.
I'd be grateful for your screenshots.
Thanks a million.

Heya man.
Have a quick look here: http://androidhackz.blogspot.com/2013/12/get-amazing-sound-quality-with.html. It goes in more depth about what I was mentioning actually. Recently when I install the V4A 2.3.3.0.zip and it ask which quality audio drive I want, another window pops up informing me that the Viper4Android app itself can handle the disabling you would need. Perhaps an older version doesn't though. Hope this helps? :good:
Honestly, I am quite happy with this phone except while watching the video in youtube app, I find the vocals in the videos come out very low volume while the sound effects are always pretty loud and clear. Any mod available to reduce this problem?? Need help.

Anyone happen to know where I might come across a copy of ZeroInfinity's IntenseBLAST speaker volume enhancer? The links in that thread all appear to be broken.
Or if that app will work with the LineageOS ROM? Or know of another app that will work on an M8 with Lineage OS?
