Is there the opportunity to build a progress bar for negative range? I would like to use it for weather (one bar for positive temperature and another one for negative). With positive range everything is OK, but for negative values it doesn't work..
I was trying to do it for values from "0" till "-50"
The progress bar is painting at full length although the current temperature value is about several degrees below zero....
This is the progress bar's settings when the temperature is about zero:

}
Then put -50 as Min, 0 as Max. You can also spin the bar round 180° if you like.

It also doesn't work...
I tried it already...
You will need to make the bar using rectangles and advanced parameters. That way you will be able to set the size of the rectangle to your temperatures using conditionals.
Negative numbers on their own will give you problems. But if you multiply your results by -1 you will have a figure that will work, then you can rotate your rectangle to give the correct visual effect.
I don't know what it was, but now it works as the reverse range from "-50" till "0"!

How to display the battery as percentage instead of a icon representation.
I'd rather see 45% battery life then a icon that show's half.
Any apps that you recommend for this?
Epic Blackclass will be reeased soon and will implement this. Initially showing 10% at a time will update later with 5 % intervals.

whats the details on Blackclass? when will it be out? and will it run on top of Epic4G? or need root? details?
Yes it will require root, a preliminary "version" of it should be releaseed in the next few hours.
Since TouchWiz doesn't have battery percentage built into it, the only way would be changing/flashing the framework with requires root.
You can get apps that show a battery notification with %, but changing the battery icon itself to have percentage isn't possible without root.
Don't know if I will be finished by tonight, but soon.

Yeah that irked me there was no option in there to show it.
In fact there were other apps that when I opened up actually showed the percentage number.
Thanks to this thread: click!, I've played a bit with the brightness settings.
You first need to enable automatic brightness. If not, your settings will only effect the touch buttons.
Then you go to cyanogenmod settings - display - automatic backlight - edit other levels.
Picture below is just a test, don't now if these are the best settings. Need to test it further. I can say 1024 is the highest for light sensor, tested under my desk lamp. If you don't need lighted touch buttons, set right column all to zero.
What I can say, the screen is the greatest user of battery, so tweaking these settings to optimal numbers will possibly help.

Do you use brightness levels shown in Guide for Desire?
Umm, I don't understand what to do here. Sorry I ain't that good with all this

I use my own values, based on testing. Light sensor is different on desire.
Edit values by clicking on it, after you changed all, press right top button.
Before modding values, hit button at bottom and enter 6.

Okay so after using a few different roms for a while, I found that now (despite formatting and going back to stock) that I still have a battery bar line that is a transparent dark purple that changes colours depending on the background.
Any suggestions? Aside from maybe exchanging it. I know my description is pretty vague but there really isnt much too it because it wont go away regardless of rom

Hey, i dont mean to bump this but I see NO ONE else having this problem and the fact of the matter is the battery bar clearly did this to my device now.
I am going to return my device because of this but Im looking for some incite whether a fix or just a reason this may have happened as I actually love the battery bar.
normal burn-in :-/. mine is starting to get one to (when browsing in fullscreen with white background the part where the status bar was supposed to be is a little bit of blueish). i'm sure they will exchange your screen/phone
Yeah I see this, but use full screen to use those pixels more. And use status bar tweaks to change battery to green text so the burn in stops etc.
Hi.
After trying about 50 watch faces, I always find something wrong or something missing with each of them, so I created my own and thought I'd share it with you all.
Digital Time
Day of the Week
Date, Month, Year
Heart rate, with colour changing bar
Step count with progress bar
Battery level with colour changing bar (turns red at 15%)
Calories burned with bar (with subtle target indicator behind based on 2000 Kcal)

Could you pls help
Thanks!
Very nice and simple, I've made some changes for "my use":
- added analogue seconds
- changed calories progress bar with floors
- added option to change the thickness of progress bars or hide them (double tap @ 5 o'clock area)
- the lower text shows alternately steps, km/miles and calories every 5 seconds

I want to get rid of the huge space when fully extending the notification panel, so when I pull it all the way down, the brightness bar is around the center of the screen, does anyone know a way to do this, with or without root.

Try using Galaxy Goodlock family of apps,
Quickstar. See if it can hide it for you...
Try notifications settings, try searching for "clock" in settings.
Quickstar hides the clock on my homescreen page, they may have added more options for Android 11/12.
On my N10+'s Android 9/10...
I will try that. Thank you.

That looks horrible. Is that Android 12?
13 will likely be worse.
On 9/10 it uses the space much better...
This was modified using Quickstar for the custom colors.
If you want to quickly access brightness control you can use One Handed Operation plus, Quicktools to do so.
Sadly there was no option for this, it seems to be essentially color type changes you can make
