So at least according to "About device" I have build:
I317UCAMA4
From what I could find, thats the latest version, but I strangly got an update notification for an update and wanted to do the download (180MB+, dont remember exact, might have been 170MB something), but afterwards I had to do some work and wasnt paying attention the next time I looked and accidentally restarted it (rooted with TWRP so naturally the update failed)...
Where can I find this update file on the device? what folder? section?
Thanks
Found it, now just gotta find the AT&T Stock Recovery to flash with Odin!
The only stock recovery we have is bundled with a rom..
Just Odin push the UCAMA4 rooted build from Mr. Robinsons thread in the development section. ..then you'll have stock recovery. ..and can take the UCAMH3 update. ...and done....g

I tried to downgrade after the update and failed. My phone was totally bricked, I tried flashing TWRP, Philz touch, and CWN and could not get into recovery or anything. I came home and opened sboot.bin with a hex editor and found that SEAndroid in 4.3 is what allows everything to boot and it is write protected, so what i did was copied the sboot.bin into a MC2 Flashable tar and flashed it with Odin, and it worked. I then flashed the update, flashed Phils touch recovery and rooted my fone, now I am on a completely rooted 4.3
Here is a link to the file I used to Unbrick/Downgrade: http://myfavoritecontractors.com/4.3_Unbrick.tar
Several other people have verified they were having the same problem and flashed this and it worked, they also told me to start this thread so others could fix their fone
im on 4.3 stock i tried rooting with auto root using Odin but it didnt want to root the phone, it worked on 4.1.2 stock but not on this 4.3.. which sucks because i want to go on a custom ROM right now like paranoid android but cant cause i dont know how to root my phone since its 4.3 stock :crying: lol smh
Download twrp tar file and flash it in Odin then flash a stock ROM. That's what I did .

You are a god, worked flawlessly! I am going to wait for 4.3 via OTA this time instead of flashing the update though (didn't like the Easy Mode big icons etc)
Thank you for this, this is the only rom I can use to get away from the dreaded Kies error screen. However, I'm now stuck on the Samsung glowing boot screen. Any suggestions on how to fix?
Thank you
I have a MK4 tar that is flash able in Odin for those still looking to unbrick (and those who tried getting to my suspended Dropbox. ..) http://www.mediafire.com/download/7viivd985s7cp8l/L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.zip
After flashing a ROM or using Odin to flash firmware I highly suggest a data/cache wipe in recovery. 99.9% of the time it'll fix a bootloop (unless you've gone and corrupted partitions you had no business touching).

This is for a soft bricked note2, from trying to downgrade from mk4, meaning you can't get into recovery mode or anything past the samdung logo...just flash this with Odin and it'll reboot to stock, then I recommend flashing billards back to stock mc2

You should be able to flash a custom recovery, flash twrp, then go into twrp recovery and flash (mc2 back to stock unrooted with counter reset) you should be able to find that pretty easy and download it
Other than that, if you get the failed update screen, you can use kies

I Just dowgraded my 4.3 ota to 4.1.2 In 2 minutes literally. NO PC NEEDED! NO ISSUES!
The prerequisites :
Note 2 50% charged "Not necessary though"
Mobile odin pro app .
4.1.2 tar file by teshxx
It's not noted anywhere else of this being done but I just did it successfuly.
How to:
Mobil odin pro is same as odin on a pc but it's all done right from the t889
Which is supported by mobile Odin pro.
Buy$ or get mobile odin pro app.
Select the 4.1.2 tar and flash it you can Inject mobile odin and su into the flash prior to flashing the tar
Look for the options in mobile Odin
Essentially You will skip all the steps of using the PC odin method that has errors ans more steps.
No need to get Odin errors or bootloops No need to cf auto root.
This method seems to be problematic free.
Reboot phone and 4.1.2 will be in settings.
Along with superuser installed on 4.1.2.
KNOX does remain in download mode but has no affect or presence within the daily operating system or its functionality.

Not trying to be picky, but mobile odin doesn't touch the bootloader at all. PC odin does. That is the reason the mobile odin process doesn't hangup like the pc versions do. A significant portion of the odin flash is not happening. If you boot into download mode you will see the knox counter staring back at you.
Having said that, I am glad you are happy with the results. It is good that you have options.

I guess my point was that Mobile Odin is not a *perfect* substitute for PC odin. If a person were to attempt to flash 4.3 odin files they would not get the bootloader updated and might have problems with WiFi and other issues as a result. It is a great piece of coding and very imaginative. It also has limitations.
My post is more for others in the audience who need to know this specific limitation. Personally I would be less than impressed if I'd spent $6 only to find that the app didn't do what I'd been lead to believe.
There was a guy over on Dr Ketan's patch thread who used mobile odin to try to flash the bootloader patch several times and just couldn't get it to work.
He thought that Mobile Odin = PC odin. It simply doesn't.
Enjoy your SIII LTE. It should be an awesome device for you. Happy New Year.

i Just want to add that im the second person that was able to get back to 4.1.2 with no errors or problems. infacted i didnt use mobile odin i simple downloaded the zip of 4.1.2 rom that was stock rooted and flashed it through TWRP OR Custom recovery. You must have custom recovery installed. any way 4.3 looks nice i like it but it has too much issues wifi crash and tethering not working 100%.
Thanks for the info. However, why are you going back to 4.1.2? What did you not like about 4.3? I stayed at 4.1.2 as I did not find many reasons to update. Thanks for you info.

Hello. I have found no issue whatsoever. I suppose that is why the Android Odin is paid while the Windows one is free. It does the job more easily with no fuss. I only want to point out that you need to get the right version to downgrade to. If you don't you may experience problems eg you might not be able to connect to the GSM network in your area or country. That has nothing to do with Mobile Odin though.
Yes, mobile Odin is indeed a very good application. The reason this works using Mobile Odin is that it does not flash the bootloader.
If you pack a tar.md5 file excluding the bootloader then you can downgrade using pc Odin too.

I am not sure if anyone has packed it yet. Did you try flashing any 4.1.2 custom roms ?
Custom roms are usually not packed with a bootloader and you should be able to flash them using any custom recovery.

I am at the point where my AT&T Note 2 SGH-i317 either displays the Samsung Note II screen or I can go into the Odin screen. It will not open recovery.
If I try to install CF-Auto-Root-t0lteatt-t0lteatt-samsungsghi317.tar.md5 using Odin, I get the message from the title.
Odin appears to load the factory 4.1 rom but I end up with the same message at the end.
I had successfully restored 4.1 using Odin and then the phone auto updated to 4.3. After that, I followed the instructions for installing Jedi Master but the phone won't restart. I tried to use the same files I got 4.1 back with (this has worked twice before from 4.3) but they will no longer work. Is there anything I can do to get the phone working again?

Which version of odin are you using?
Can you enter stock recovery or only download mode?
If you can get into stock recovery if it says anything about knox then you have the new bootloader, which you should if you updated to 4.3 via an ota update or an odin file. If you have this we can skip a few steps. If you don't, we will basically be starting from the beginning.
Assuming you have the newer bootloader, this is what I need you to do.
Go to teamw.in and download the latest twrp and make sure it's the recovery.img.tar.md5 flash that through odin.
In the mean time start a fresh download of jedi masterx2. When that download finishes make sure you verify the md5 sum. This is key. One digit off and the entire download is bad and you'll end up bootlooping again.
Once you have twrp and a good download of jmx2 boot into twrp. Do a system wipe and then flash the rom.
Let me know how it works. Just be patient and we can get this fixed for you. As long as you can power on you can recover your phone and make it work.

Odin shows the Knox flag, so I assume I am on 4.3.
I cannot find this file, "recovery.img.tar.md5".
The most likely looking file I found was this, but it isn't an md5, "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-t0lteatt.img.tar".
In fact I find no files with an "md5" extension on that site.

Hello,
I have always thought that OTA update would fail with a custom recovery. However after reading about another user's experience I decided to try it. This person stated that when they did the update CWM warned them that it would be replaced and asked if they wanted to fix it. It also warned that they would lose root and asked if they wanted to fix it. Sound familiar to anyone?
I did download the update but when I tried to install it failed. Now AT&T says my software is up to date, which is not true.
I am still on 4.1.2, rooted, CWM installed. Best way to upgrade now? I can't even find the OTA upgrade file that I downloaded.

From my experience with 3 i747m phones, rooted systems well not take an ota update.
Yup, you cannot get the ota if rooted, or with a custom recovery. You need to be full stock. Best way is a fresh firmware flash and factory reset.
I don't have to install OTA, I just wanted to update to the latest official AT&T version. Is there a flashable available that will work coming from 4.1.2?
By the way I used triangle away, downloaded update again, thought it was going to work but the update crashed

The latest firmware that's available is the 4.3 build. Havent been able to make a working one for 4.4.2 yet. But you can update using that firmware then use one of the threads in this section to update to kk.
Ok confused. Not sure how to install 4.3. Have read about bootloaders and modems needed before flashing. Guess I will have to keep reading. How to gy from 4.1.2 rooted, CWM, to the latest official which now I think is 4.3?

You can either follow the OP through step 4, or flash the firmware from this thread using Odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660
After that you can follow the remaining steps in this OP, or try to get the official ota to update to 4.4.2.
Since you do not have the 4.3 bootloader, you could start fresh by installing stock 4.1.1 from sammobile.com using Odin and then just keep running OTA until you get to 4.4.2. Remember, using Odin will wipe everything on the phone so make sure you backup your important data.

Everytime I try to download something from Sammobile.com my AVG pops up a warning. Is this normal? I haven't yet made it through all of their stalls, installs, etc. to get to downloading the actually firmware.
Used to love AVG. But I think theyve gone downhill and this is a perfect example. Its a false positive. (Unless your browsers been hijacked or youre clicking on a bad/fake link).
Ive been using sammobile for years and never had a single problem.
I have been using sammobile for quite some time.
The site is legit. Maybe avg is causing the problem. I can download with no problem.
Not trying to be annoying, as I said haven't done any of this for a while but.....could I not flash a stock recovery, use triangle away, unroot, and then get the ota to work?

You could try that but there is no guarantee that it'll take the OTA update after going through the procedure you described.
If you removed too many Samsung Apps, that may cause the OTA update to fail as well.
Don't think I removed any Samsung or ATT apps I just had them disabled. Since I tried to run the update though they have all resurrected themselves. I have never flashed a stock recovery or unrooted before though

All I can say is try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work, the simplest would be to restore to completely stock and start the OTA update process.

I guess I can't read, but so far I have been unable to download the 4.1.1 from sammobile. I have gotten some media player, etc. which I don't know whether is still on my computer or not, but have not gotten to the download of the actual software.
Do I have to agree to everything that they try to get me to install?
You are probably hitting one of the ads that put up fake download buttons. Just a guess though.
It seems that registering helps
