As title states, is there a setting on watchmaker i am missing that would automatically change my watch face everyday? If not that would be a good feature for them to add.
Every morning can have it set at specific time or even set when taken off charger that it automatically changes to one of your other watch faces. This way for those that have a lots of great faces and want to use them can be rotated every day or whatever set amount watchmaker devs would want to program.
If not possible i guess this a feature request haha.
If you're familiar with Tasker you can make it happen.
Just create a profile with day / time, or whatever and add a new task with plugin>Watchmaker>change watch

thanks for your reply! Im not familiar with tasker but i will look in to it. I've only had my water for 20 minutes and I have to be at work an hour or so forgive me... I've noticed some of the watch faces I've downloaded will work which I'm stoked about but one thing I have a question is is there no way for the faces to continually tick when the screen dims?? because it seems like after a few seconds the second hand stops moving....
---------- Post added at 11:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:50 PM ----------
Can you explain how tasker works? It basically forces the face to go through or as watchmaker doesn't?
If by "continually tick when the screen dims" you mean that you want the screen to always be on, so yes. You can long press the moto 360's power button and then scroll down to Ambient Screen and enable it. It will reduce your battery life though.
Tasker is a very powerful app, mostly for automation of things on Android and even in real life (smart light bulbs, windows pc..)
Basically, you state a condition, in which only when that said condition is true, the profile is activated. And then when the profile is activated, you can make the phone do stuff automatically until the condition is'nt true anymore.
In your case, let's say you state your conditions like so: when it's Sunday (AND) between 9:00 am and 17:00 pm (AND) you're connected to your office's WIFI. Only when all 3 conditions met, this profile (which we can call whatever we like. "Work Watch"), will be activated.
In this profile you can configure a task that will trigger once the profile is activated. Again, in your case you want to add a task to change your watchface to a different one.
So you'll go to add task > new task > add > plugin >watchmaker >change watch
And that's it.

I have the setting checked to keep screen on while on AC, but it still auto dims to about 10% after 30 seconds or so. I want to stop it from doing this and just keep the screen at 90% all the time. Auto-brightness is already off, and that didn't change anything.
I'm trying to setup a tasker profile to turn the brightness to 90% during the day when in the car. Everything works fine, I can see the screen get brighter, BUT it still dims after 30 seconds and I can't see the display when it's bright out unless I touch the screen, then it comes back to full brightness again.
Help please?

I don't have that option. Only goes to 30 min. I'm running CM6.

But the screen still dims to about 10% (even with Sense and even while plugged in).

Exactly.
I've temporarily resolved this by having tasker open car home, then opening pandora.
When car home is running, it won't dim the screen.
Now I have to figure out how to make it do this without car home open.

Did anyone ever find a solution?
Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake (Screen will never sleep while charging)
This is true but the screen still dims.
Still searching for an answer.
I had the same problem. After some searching I found this over on android forums and it's working like a champ for me. Hope this helps! (I don't think there's any system setting that will change this, unfortunately)
Download the app "Setting Profiles Lite". Lite is free and only lets you create 1 rule at a time, but multiple profiles (Actions you want it to do when the rule is happening)
1. Create a profile that simply changes the screen time out to "Screen Never Times out" Save it as whatever name you want.
2. Create a rule. Under conditions add a condition for Battery that when "plugged into any charger", hit OK. Now add an action to Activate Profile, and choose the profile you made above.
Bam! When plugged into the charger, the screen timeout goes to never, and the screen stays bright, unplug it and time out goes back to whatever you had it set at!
I have been using this for about 10 min now so I'm a rookie but it seems to be working! Make sure if you screw around in it that you don't accidentally disable the rule (I did that because I tried to make another and the Lite won't let you make 2 rules, and it disabled the first one. Just had to long press to enable it again)

THANK YOU!
From time to time I've searched for a solution to this annoying problem, but came up dry. For months I've been using the built-in Power Control widget to manually toggle between Auto-bright when on battery, and Full-bright when on the charger, but NEVER AGAIN
I mean, if your phone's on the charger, why wouldn't you want to take advantage of the plentiful juice pouring out of the charger to power the screen? (Maybe, and I don't know if this is true, but maybe the battery will charge slightly slower with the display sucking a bit more of the available 0.5 max amps over USB.)
IMO, this problem is really worthy of being solved by a standalone app, apart from the more general Settings Profile Lite (but now that it's solved... I don't feel the urge to code it anymore.)
ChargeBright app
FWIW, I did finally end up writing my own app to solve this problem. Check out the ChargeBright app @ market.android.com if interested.
Settings Profile Lite was overkill since I only needed to tweak one setting: display brightness when charging. ChargeBright saves resources and is better tailored to the specific task in any case.

2 years later and this still works like a charm. THANKS.
On my BlackBerry, I could tell the thing to turn off/on the attenna at certain times. This allowed me to disable notifications at night and resume them when I got up.
If there isn't one, is there one for sound? Sometimes I forget to turn it off and woken up multiple times due to incoming messages at night.

If you have some tech/application savvy, then get Tasker in the Marketplace for a couple bucks. It's like a custom feature development program; basically it lets you establish 'profiles' i.e., conditions under which certain 'tasks' are triggered, then the tasks themselves.
So for example, you would create a profile called 'Sleepy Time'; you could set that profile to activate when you hit a toggle switch, or you can even set it to turn on at a pre-specified hour. Hell, you can even set it to turn on at a pre-specified hour unless you have an active data session running.
The possibilities are somewhat limitless, but that's why I recommend it for more savvy users, because you have to 'build' the profiles and tasks manually (it's not very difficult, but it's not like your one-and-done single-purpose apps). Also, some folks post their purpose-specific pre-built profiles on the developers wiki for others to use.
Same goes for sound. You can have it disable all sounds except your alarm clock starting at a certain hour, you can even program it to disable all sounds unless you receive a call from, e.g., your wife/girlfriend/mistress.
Other than that, Juice Defender (also marketplace app), also has customized profiles for night, etc. and is much easier to configure (though you are more limited on WHAT you can configure). You need the Ultimate (paid) version for access to the most granular optimizations (e.g., disable all data synchronization between 1:30AM and 6:30 AM unless the screen is on, auto-disable my wi-fi when I'm not home, etc.).
As a recovering Blackberry user, I can empathize with some of your withdrawal symptoms. If you do end up with Tasker, PM me and and I will send you a copy of the profiles/tasks I built to replicate the Blackberry 'Sound Profiles' feature using a one-touch widget.
Juice defender, a couple bucks on the market saves your sleep. A few profiles and your set plus good training to get you started for the future. The extra battery life is just sauce for the goose
Hey guys.
I just contacted Motorola to request some new features be added to the stock ROM (which in my opinion) would be crucial to increasing the functionality and battery levels of the watch.
Don't know if any Motorola Dev's/Engineers are following this site but just in case, I'd love to have these features asap.
Please add more if there is anything I have missed.
1. Have the ability to turn Vibrate OFF while still receiving notifications on the watch
Why ? Because I have my phone in my pocket constantly, and my phone vibrates when a new notification comes up. I dont need my pocket and my wrist vibrating together.
Also, Increase battery life.
2. Need to have the ability to turn off notifications for certain apps. For Example, I want the watch to vibrate when an SMS or Email comes through, but turned off for Messenger, kik, and everything else.
Also, by having this feature, Im sure a developer could write up a small app to install onto the phone which would tell the watch which notifications to vibrate for, and which to just display on the screen.
And again, this will save battery life by turning the vibrate motor off for (in my case) 90% of the notifications coming through.
3. Have a slider to control the level of vibration or the burst of vibration.
Why ? This adds a level of customization to the watch.
Also, I see people complaining that the watch doesn't vibrate enough while in my case, its vibration time is too long. By having the ability to shortening the vibrate time, you also save battery life (if not by much).
By having all 3 features embedded into the ROM, On the average user, it should increase battery life by almost double (if not more).

Pretty neat ideas. I have one id like to add lol. I want to be able to turn off motion detection for the screen. I had this feature on my galaxy gear and it gave me an day and half EXTRA battery with it turned off. We could get similar battery life (3-4 days with average use, custom rom too) if this was disabled. I had to always press the button to turn the screen on to check the time, but notifications still lit the screen up when they came in. Totally worth an extra 24-36 hours of battery . However i like the idea of being able to tap the screen to wake the moto360.
So basically I want motion detection disabled but leave tap to wake on.

I like this idea because sometimes it's hard getting the watch to light up with motion, so turning off that feature for when it does work would be fine.
In my case, I have the phone vibration turned off and rely on the watch to deliver notifications.
My one and only important feature request is the ability to create my own canned response list.
Of course, official support for 3rd party keyboards would be nice as well.
Bluetooth LE Peripheral Mode
I'm not sure if they intend to include Bluetooth LE Peripheral Mode in their Lollipop release. Google chose not to include peripheral mode for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, although it is included with the newer Nexus 6 and 9. But for Android Wear, Peripheral Mode would enable a huge number of new and useful apps, that would significantly improve the usefulness of the watch. The simplest one would be a beacon to help you find your watch when you forgot where you left it, but enabling service solicitation would open a whole new world of applications for the watch.
#1 has worked since day one.
I get a notification, my phone remains silent, the watch vibrates. It's in the AW app settings.
according to me, since the watch has a inbuilt mic, a feature can be added that when someone calls, answer from the watch, just speak that you'll call back later & disconnect. this will be helpful if you are driving... no need to pick the phone ...

Good list, I have one more. Allow the setting of alarms for only certain days. For example, I would like to be able to set an alarm at 7 PM that goes off only on weekdays and not weekends, as I use this to let me know when I can get into the car pool lane when I am driving back home from work. That alarm is useless on the weekend, so no need for it to be turned on every day.

I am still wondering which watch support Bluetooth peripheral?
As I know LG G watch 5.0.1 do not support it.

sometimes it will vibrate and pop up when i get a text or email.. but then sometimes it doesnt do anything at all.
hardly ever, does it vibrate when i get a fb IM.. but it pops up and the screen lights up.
maybe they should fix it first before adding anything.

Pretty sure vibration is app dependent. Example, 8sms. You can change the vibration length in the settings. If you set your phone to 1000ms vibration when you get a text your phone AND watch will vibrate for 1000ms(or whatever vibration pattern you set) To further my point I would NEVER feel the vibration of Snapchat updates because it was so short. I'm using xposed(gravity box) to change snapchats vibration length and I feel the notification on my watch and phone every time.
I agree 100% google should have a universal setting to be able to change vibration, notification, and screen light up settings.

I have.
With the new update giving "tilt to wake screen" option and also cimena mode, I wonder whether this would allow tasker to automate one or other of these functions.
The examples I was thinking off:
Wearing the Moto 360 in bed - have tasker from 11pm to 7am automatically disactivate tilt to wake screen so the watch doesn't keep lighting up when reading or trying to sleep.
Wearing Moto 360 when driving - have tasker disable tilt to wake screen when my phone connects to the bluetooth in my car. This way the screen will remain off when driving.
Apologies, I have used tasker for some simple stuff but just don'tknow whether the above is within its functional capabilities?
I know this is an old post but I've just gotten my Moto 360. This is the feature I most want. I've emailed Motorola about adding this to their Moto app but was wondering if there are automation options already out there for this.
I don't know that Tasker has any hooks into the device itself, so it's certainly not possible without a plugin, and I don't believe that plugin exists. It would be nice though. There are a bunch of things i could imagine doing with Tasker for this thing. A big one for me is... I have my phone set to mute notifications when connected to the watch. But when the watch is on the charger, it's stil considered "connected", but it's obviously not on my wrist, so I essentially don't get notifications. IT'd be nice to be able to toggle that.
Looking for an application for Gear S3 that can put phone and watch on silent/Mute quickly.
Preferably an application that can also be set watch and phone on silent for a period of time and then automatically activate the volume again on both devices.
Not 100 percent sure, but think maybe bixby routines.. but when you use do not disturb, you can choose for how long, and then it enables sound after that time.
Maybe not quickly but automatically, You can do this with the "Do Not Disturb" functionality. You set the time to start & stop & it will mute both your phone & watch.
You can also allow exceptions like an alarm or calls from specific contacts.

Agree, "Do Not Disturb" is what I use for similar actions...
