im using stickmount to mount my 1tb hard drive. opening stream and xbmc plays the movie for about 10 mins (tried ninja turtles, frozen, and 22 jump street) and then just returns to the stream / xbmc torrent screen to select another movie. if i select the same movie or a different one, it will load, but then just crash the whole OS (reboot)
any fixes to this? or any alternatives ?

So If I am running pandora or tune in radio, the music will keep playing when I 'back' out of the app and am navigating around the fire tv, or even when I enter xbmc. When I start watching a movie in xbmc, the music also keeps playing until I back out of spmc and hit pause.
Is there a better way to handle this? Obviously I like the music playing when navigating, but ideally, if I play anything in spmc it should stop that other app...
Also, are the amazon/android apps always running in the background even though they have been 'closed' or do they shut down eventually if unused?
So I just recently got an Amazon Fire Stick and wanted to use it for Youtube viewing. Even though I can watch 1080p shows on Amazon Prime and Netflix without issue, every Youtube video I've tried starts out with audio skipping. It always corrects itself after a second or two but I rather it never happens. Anyway else experience this? It's like it's only buffering video first and then audio tries to catch up afterwards.
Also, every so often there is a video where the audio is not sync'd properly. Plays fine on all other devices.
I've noticed the same on my Fire TV Stick - after a while you start to get stuttering too and then picture freezing.
It's been a consistent issue for me on my FireTV Stick. However it's also a regular issue on my EETV box and occasional issue Now TV Box, and Roku Streaming Stick.
However YouTube is the only app on the three platforms (Now TV being a re-branded Roku) with the issue - BBC iPlayer, UKTV Player, ITV Hub*, All 4*, Google Play Movies*, Now TV*, TVPLayer Plus*, Wuaki TV, Freeview connect (e.g. CCTV, Box+, Motors TV, Vintage TV)*, Amazon Instant Video, Vimeo, Flixster, My5, TVPlayer, Tune In all manage to play without stuttering!
* Apps only on EETV/Roku.
Of all those platforms the UI is most responsive on the Fire TV (only since Fire OS 5 - it used to be the worse) but video and audio playback are best on the Roku (i.e. the least audio stuttering or buffering)
Hello,
Long story short, I have a Sony X950G with Android 9, and for some time, usually every day, randomly, when playing an stream the video and audio pauses on the TV.
I can browse back to the homescreen again, but the system will lose its navigation sound, and if I try to open another app, video won't play (eg, YouTube) or video will play breaking up and without sound (eg, CW app), and the system will feel under stress.
The only way to mitigate the problem is restarting the TV, but the next day will happen again.
I believe this not a networking problem, because I have 100mbps up/ 100mbps down, and it's a reliable connection.
Using the analiti app, the network ttl (round trip) was around 47, 55, 65, is this acceptable? Could this be an issue? I have an Xbox One, and I don't have this issues using streaming apps.
Anyone having a similar issue or ideas on how to fix the problem?
Thanks,
What application is this happening in, or is it on the OTA tuner?

Usually, this happens when I'm watching videos, such as The CW, NBC, Plex, Sony Media Player app, etc. However, yesterday for example, I got the issue as I finish installing the NBC app. Though, I couldn't say if it actually started as I tried to open the Google Play store.
When I sound went off, I was able to navigate, but it felt that the system was using a lot of resources, because moving around and starting apps took a long time.
Disable any/all apps that you don't use?
Factory reset would be next suggestion.
Hi, I have downloaded large, 15-70gb mkv files to try playing on the TV.
Copied to a USB3 external drive, connected to the TV, and played using VLC Media Player.
Some of the have the slightest of stutter every few seconds or so, other seem to play fine.
Today, I tried Final Destination Blue Ray 1080p TrueHD 5.1 VC-1 Remux (about 17 gb).
In VLC, image is stuck, it only updates if I seek 10sec.
In MX Player, It stutters badly, feels like a slowed down playback to about 1/8 speed or so.
What am I doing wrong? Is the built-in Android not powerful enough? What do i need instead? Doesn't make sense, it's top of the line, pure Android TV not LG's in House junk...
I tried turning on hardware acceleration in VLC, its not even loading with that.
Any further information that can help?

Hi, I am currently watching TV shows on my Kodi firestick. while I am watching television and browsing Facebook or even Instagram when a video starts playing/audio the show I am watching pauses, I have to then press play to continue the show on tv.
Anyone know why videos that start with audio (Instagram and Facebook) pause the videos I am watching on my tv/first stick?
This was not occuring with my OnePlus 7t pro
I think there may be a problem with your sound card. I also had such a problem when using discord, the interrupts stopped after sound card updates. I am currently able to follow various broadcasts such as TV or radio without freezing. canlı tv
