Goto Inbox, Tools, Options and Tap SMS.
call another mobile with the SIM inserted and see what number comes up?
If you have only one phone but 2 sims: send an SMS to the number of the other sim then swap sims and you should get "message from......"
Ben
You misunderstand me !
I did post this in the developers corner !?!?!
I meant how do I get the phone number from my XDA via code eVC into my program ?
Any ideas anyone ?
John
Although I havent tried it myself yet, the ExTapi function lineGetGeneralInfo should give you a structure with the subscribernumber.
Cheers!
/Christer
I haven't tried to do this on the XDA but have done something similar on other phones by using the AT+C command set. From memory if you send a AT+CNUM to the phone it should respond with the subscriber number.
Does anyone know how to do this on an XDA? I would guess you need to have the wireless modem facility and then connect via this.
Cheers, Malachi
Take a look at the tstril example at this site, modifying it you can send AT commands to the modem.
Could any body please send me the eVB code for obtaining the XDA's phone number.

STK
Question: I have STK with a cloned SIM card with 4 numbers on it. The program is called Multinumber. This lets you change between the different numbers on the SIM card. I noticed that the Multinumber window always pops up when a SMS text message is sent. It pops up at the same time that you get the Message sent bubble. Does anyone know how to stop it from doing that?
WM 2005 and Saving contacts on SIM
I can't save any contact on SIM! anybody has a solution?
Very easy method to unlock your ATT SIM card and move to another carrier!!!
:laugh::cyclops::laugh:
Call the ATT Office of the President, Executive Escalations Team, (866-751-5784) and ask for them to provide the unlock code for your phone!! Simple!!
:laugh::cyclops::laugh:
You'll request an email and it will come looking like this....
"Thank you for contacting AT&T regarding unlocking your device. The unlock code you need is 44070976. The steps you need for unlocking are below. You have 5 attempts before the phone will be permanently locked to AT&T’s network."
1. Power on the device and wait for the flash (logo) screen to give way to the main menu screen (also known as the Today screen).
2. Locate the unlock option at the bottom of the list of options on the Today screen. The icon is a padlock in the locked position.
3. Tap the padlock icon and the image switches to an unlocked padlock.
4. Enter the unlock code.

Hmmmm... I have worked for Bell previously and know people in Atlanta that work in that office. Mostly do cell site integration for Ericsson & Nokia now... The ATT Office of the President, Escalations Team fields all sorts of complaints, but mostly from fcc.gov/complaints
Its just another call center that acts for the Presidents office, however, the difference... they're very knowledgeable and helpful to resolve any issue. However, with all the DATA caps, BS marketing, tracking down on rooted phones, charging for using hotspot.... It seems a great resource to get the unlock code and move to someone else, like Tmob.... Which isn't doing that...
The unlock code is unique to your IMEI number and after sliding in the Tmob SIM, it asked me for the code and BAM!! switched!!

HI all
im having a problem on my m8 tmobile.
i got it in the US and im using it in another country - all works good except one thing.
lets say i have a contact saved in my address book as DAVE and his phone number is 12345678
when Dave calls me i see his name on the screen - all ok
when dave sends me an SMS the sms app doesnt recognize him as one of my contacts and the only thing i see is the country code and then 12345678.
i tried to add the country code to the contact and the SMS worked fine but when i get a call from him now its not recognized there and all i see on the screen is the country code and his phone number 12345678.
bottom line - its not just dave , its for 100% of my contacts.
please please help

I'D guess it's set to expect a ten digit US phone number. I think that is a property set in the build.prop. what country or locale do you want it to default to? I'm not sure I can help but I'll try...

hi

im using a verizon m8 and its all good there.
about the 10 digits - i changed all of my contacts to 10 digits and then it recognize the senders when i recieve an sms but then it wont recognize them when they call me.
the default country is israel.
thanks!
anyone have an idea for this problem?
i also have this
Hi,
I am using a T-Mobile HTC One M8 Lollipop bought in the US about 1.5 years ago in my home country (Israel) with local SIM.
Most of my contacts are saved with country code (+972-xx-xxxxxxx) but incoming calls are coming without country code (0xx-xxxxxxx).
So the problem is that the HTC doesn't recognize the contact that is calling.
If I save the contact without the country code it is fine, but I need to keep all my contacts with country code so this is not the solution.
The phone need to recognize a phone number according to it's last 7-9 digits.
I guess the problem is only with service providers phones used in other countries, because my old Unlocked HTC One M7 is working fine.
Looked all over the web for solution but couldn't find any.
I saw that there is a fix for windows phone in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=573692
I need the same fix for Lollipop.
Does anyone knows how to solve this?
Thanks!
