My phone died and i thought i had a good backup, but all my zopper widget stuff is gone, im trying to build my screens back, i need to try and find this widget but have not been able too. Can anyoine point to it or know of it.

So I have noticed that no the accuweather widget will update the temp and stuff fine, but will not update to my current location?
If I go in and manually add a location it will change to it, but then no matter where I go it stays on that location. I have tried looking at settings, tried deleting and re-adding it, and just does not seem to follow me.
Anyone have this problem? Any ideas.....
Assuming this can't be fixed I was thinking of using weather channel and that widget as I know it updates based on your location, but I am worried about battery drain. Besides I actually like the default weather on the phone, but it is a killer that it will not update. I travel a ton for work and don't want to add every location.

Have you tried removing the widget and adding it back? I've noticed some funkiness with widgets in general after flashing and/or restoring and that usually fixes things for me.
EDIT: and even though it should matter, try adding the widget back and updating the settings outside so it can get a GPS lock. It should be able to figure out where you are from the cell tower, but I've notice the GPS icon in the status bar when I was messing with the setting.

I notice when I was playing with the weather channel widget every time I wake my phone up I see the gps icon for a few seconds. Wonder if that should happen with accuweather too? Really?? Then what the heck does the enable my location do. Says something like lets the widget track your location and update....something to that effect.
That sucks then. Anyone have any hood weather widget that updates?

When I was using it, I had a problem once when it wasn't updating at all. Took me about a week to notice. Removed the widget and added it back in and it started back up fine. But I've switched back to Beautiful Widgets.
Added the Accuweather widget on my homescreen as a test. It was blank after I first dropped it on the screen so clicked on it. The first thing it asked me was if I wanted to use my Current Location and automatically filled it in. Exited out and after a few seconds everything populated.

So I recently flashed a newer version of MikG, restored all of my system data and my lock screen quick access icons (you know, camera, mail, phone, messages) disappeared. So then I reflashed the newest version, and only restored a very few system data things, and everything seemed gravy, the lock screen icons stayed and it was all good.
Now today I went to change the lock screen, picked the photo one, and it wouldn't show the photos (but I was wondering if that's just because I have 1000+ photos in the album), and also it wouldn't show the lock screens. So I tried to just go back to the clock one - and the icons were gone there too. And then I tried to just go back to the basic wallpaper one - and no icons there either. What the hell is going on?
I really like having those quick access icons, it's pretty nifty, but I don't know that I feel like reflashing it and restoring all of my apps again. Quite frustrated, any ideas/suggestions anyone has would be much appreciated. Thanks!

i really dont have a good answer for you but being a mikg user as my only rom since ive gotten my evo i can tell u that they recommend not restoring any data at all and to wipe everything using amon ra recovery...might want to go and check out themikmik.com theres lots of people there that might have a good answer for you
The other day I pulled my phone out of my pocket to check the time and was shocked to find all my icons/shortcuts missing. On all 7 screens. I easily restored the items I had on my main home page like retro clock/date, market, internet etc.
The problem that is driving me effing nuts is the toggle switches I had on the 2nd page to the left of home, wifi, 4g, mobile, gps, etc. I cannot find them to add them back. I have gone to add widget>settings> the only 2 items listed are airplane mode and bluetooth and no others. I am not speaking of the power control option in widgets. I have tried to add from widgets, shortcuts, apps and folders. the toggle switches are non existent. Now I just noticed I cannot find the stock clock that comes preloaded on the phone. I use the retro clock from the market anyways but the stock clock is another item i cant use along with the weather page. I can add a shortcut for weather that i need to click to open the weather screen.
seems like a portion or all of sense is effed up or gone. What are my options besides a complete factory reset, assuming that would even fix this issue.

There's lots of toggle widgets in the market.
Understood however getting different ones from the market does not explain where the stock ones went or how to get them back
A factory reset should fix your problem, unless the issue is within system itself. I'd just flash the stock rom over itself, wipe cache and dalvik only and see if that fixes it.

Another question, there is normally a spot in system info for htc sense version right?
Ok so after looking at running processes I discovered that htc sense is currently a cached background process and I dont have an option to restart it or anything.
Long press the screen where you want to add the widget. The go to Widgets > Get more HTC widgets at the top and the one you are looking for should be in there. I hope this helps.
Thnx. I know how to add widgets and everything else. The problem is when I attempt to add by going to widgets>setrings> the only 2 items that are listed is airplane mode and bluetooth, not the 7 or 8 items that are normally there. I also cant add the stock clock, weather widget or pretty much any of the items that are supposed to be there.
Today I did a side by side comparison with another stock rom evo, ome that works as it should and could not really find anything useful. Mine is simply just missing almost all stock widgets
I found the Widgets under settings. I'm not running stock so I can't duplicate. When my wife gets home I can use hers.
I find a lot just by going through every possible selection. You can find some interesting stuff that way

Ya you can. I know exactly where they are supposed to be they just are no longer there. I did a factory reset and it fixed it

I am currently back on the stock weather widget for my ion, but I have been trying out others. I really like the stock one, although I wish it would find you with GPS, and follow your location etc. It's just clean and simple..just looking to see what others ones may be good as well.
personally i dont use one, not even stock..its a waste of data and consumes ram plus if it's using GPS then it keeps waking up your phone which leads to battery drain..
I use the stock one on my XS.. I don't really care about the weather info displayed on the widget.. It's just for show on my homescreen coz it looks good there...

Dude you made me laugh with your shameless sincerity
I use the stock widget for normal current stuff...and the weather channel app for radar. I used to use accuweather's app, but they completely rearranged it and it gets an update every other day because of bugs...and its slow as shat now. The weather channel app is much better currently imo...
in either case though...i've never come across one weather widget that looks as good as the one included with Sony's skin. I never use the widgets included with any weather app, as they're not even close haha. Just wish the stock widget could follow you, rather than having to put up multiple widgets for different areas...
the stock seems to be the best one out there but i noticed that the readings it gives, are totally wrong. I mean the weather was like cloudy and it was showing sunny, the other day. So i've removed it. Also i agree with Jackmax32, idc about the weather, it is only good for the eyecandy (showing off)

Looking to install dashclock to my phone which I have done however I'm unable to remove the default lock screen widget so that always shows when I turn on my phone and dashclock is to the side.
Been looking everywhere to try find a way around this is it possible? I have android 4.3 any help how this might be possible would be fantastic and save me from this headache!
