Um, TWRP does not drain your battery. It is impossible to drain your battery while booted into the normal system partition (ie running the phone like normal). It's like saying "every since I listened to the new Maroon 5 album on my phone, my battery drained from 100% to 0 in half a day on standbuy [sic] mode with network and rest off..."
Now there are lots of things that you can flash that might affect battery life, just as cell signal strength will affect battery life too. In other words, there are other reasons you need to be looking at for your sudden battery drain. NWRP is not the cause of your issue.
I think there's something dirty on your phone. see which apps drain your battery.
if you're rooted, you can use betterbatterystats+
TWRP wont drain your battery if you're not boot to it

I have the same problem as you. It seems to be a problem with the version of clockworkmod recovery...
So update it and we will see it that solves the problem. I've just done it.
I've had a similar problem where it charges to 92% and never reaches 100%, although by chance one day my phone froze and rebooted. When it booted again it was 100%. I think it could be a glitch with the battery indicator, because it goes to 100% every time I reboot (from having just taken it off the charger) even if it wasn't at 100% before..
Hi,
Yesterday i flashed the wrong ROM on my Onex and now i've got some issues i can't seem to resolve.
The Rom i installed was for the Tegra3 Onex and i've got the international version, so yeah, kinda stupid i know.
Some facts:
-Hboot 1.12.0000
-Bootloader is unlocked
-Clockworkmod is installed
-Made a nandroid backup
-Got a fastboot folder
-The ROM i installed was Cyanogenmod 10
At first i didn't notice it was the wrong ROM but it drained my battery pretty fast and WiFi/SD-card/Network/etc. isn't working.
The phone hardly charges (only up to 3% or something) and when i go in recovery and restore the backup i made, it's going into bootloop.
I can't find a way to install another custom or stock ROM on the SD-card since my pc isn't recognizing the device as a storage.
I can however communicate via cmd, but when i try to flash another boot.img on it, it says power too low.
Any idea on how i can get it charged?
Any idea on how to get it working again? (w or w/o stock rom)
Thnx a lot in advance
Switch off the phone and charge it for 1hr
Allready tried that but it won't go beyond 2/3%
Tried charging it while plugged in to the laptop and while plugged into the net.
Yesterday i left it charing for a few hours while it was turned on, but when i got back to it, it was turned off.
The tegra3 one x IS the international one x.

What XX said. The international One X is the Tegra 3. Did you flash the boot.img prior to flashing CM10?
@XxVcVxX Hmm, my bad about the International version... had a short night, thought i figured it out...
@dr9722 Yes, i flashed the boot.img and followed the guide exactly. The ROM does work, but somehow it doesn't recognize the SD-card, WiFi doesn't work and network doesn't work either. And on top of that, it still doesn't really charge and stays at about 3% when i charge it on standby for an hour.
Any suggestions on how i can get another ROM (zip-file) on the SD-card (perhaps somewhere in the settings?) so i can replace the current one?
Does the Rom actually boot into a usable user interface?

Thats what I thought.
Yes, the ROM does actually work, it's got apps installed and everything else seems to run pretty smooth. Developer options can be enabled and everything works.
Except the most important parts don't work... unfortunately exactly the parts that make it a phone!

well, this is probably an HW problem... if your phone boots up and can't charge, well that's weird... try erasing battery stat in recovery

Ok, it's charged up to 13% now after being turned off for about 45 minutes. I had it still plugged into the laptop but as soon as i turned it on (screen on minimum brightness) it drains the battery extremely fast.

Yeah, allready tried to erase that. But this happened after i installed the new ROM.
Other problem is that when it is on, it doesn't recognize the SD-card so i can't put any other ROM on it, stock or custom.

Ok, it went down from 13% to 2% when i powered it down. Figured if i turned it off, it wouldn't consume any energy, but appearantly that isn't the case.

I can't seem to install USB Mass Storage, which might be the problem.

Try this
Instructions:
It's best to complete this procedure in the evening before going to bed, so you can leave it at 100% overnight and check in the morning if the drainage issue is fixed!!!
The whole procedure along with recalibration might take up to 5-6 hours!
1. Take the case off your Atrix (one of the latter steps involves taking the battery out from the phone while it's plugged in. Make sure your case won't stand in the way.)
2. Install Battery Calibration app from the market
3. Plug in your Atrix to charge while it's on, wait till it gets to a 100%
4. When the charge is 100%, open the BatteryCalibration app and lookup what the charge is in MV while at 100%. (Explanatory pic, needed number circled in red). Write it down.
My Atrix was showing ~3400MV while at 100%, which is definitely not the maximum capacity.
5. Discharge your Atrix completely until it shuts off.
A good way of doing this quickly is by turning on wifi, and a video player.
6. Without turning on the phone plug it into a wall charger and let it get to 100%
7. When it's at 100%, without unplugging it from the wall charger, take off the battery cover, and take the battery out.
Your phone will "reboot" and show a Missing Battery icon.
8. Without unplugging the phone from the wall charger or turning it on, put the battery back in and wait until the phone recognizes the battery.
9. Your battery should now be recognized by the phone, and showing a charge % significantly lower than 100%.
Mine showed only 5%. Back when I used a Milestone, it usually showed 60% after doing this.
10. Let it sit there charging for 2-3 hours.
My phone wouldn't charge past 10%, but yours might. The numbers don't matter much as the phone is definitely getting additional charge that could have been lost while flashing ROMs, etc.
11. After 2-3 hours, turn the phone on while holding the volume down button and get into CWM.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
12. Install jug6ernaut's CWM battery fix (even if you had it installed before), do not reboot yet.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
13. Wipe battery stats in CWM, reboot.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
14. When the phone turns on, go into BatteryCalibration app again and look up your MV numbers
- if you were like me, they should be significantly higher than before. After this whole process I had 4200MV at 100%, comparing to 3400MV before calibration.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
15. Before going to sleep - Install Watchdog from the market. Go into it's preferences, set CPU threshhold to 20%, check "Include phone processes", check "Monitor phone processes", check "Display all phone processes", set system CPU threshhold to 20% as well.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
16. Make sure your wifi and data connections are off. Now finally unplug the phone from the charger.
Go to bed, let your phone sleep too.
17. Success! Next morning check where your battery % is at and if you followed the instructions correctly / got lucky like me, your battery life should be 90% or more.
I went to bed with 98% and woke up to 94%. So, I consider this mission a success.
(Your general battery capacity should have increased, even if something still was draining the battery, you will be able to find the infringing process in WatchDog with the settings we've set up in step 15 )
Also calibration+wiping battery stats more or less the same thing

What is the root files made for mobile?
Does anyone know?
I have my HOX for a couple of months now. It's has been on stock rom for about 2 minutes. I flashed a custom rom as soon as i had it. Everything was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. I think it started after flashing hboot 1.39, or after a couple of times of wiping battery stats (but i'm not sure).
My phone randomly turns off completely. No shutdown or whatever, just off if it was disconnected from the battery. The battery wasn't even close to empty so this was very strange behavior. I tried to start the phone again but it keeps turning off while booting or just after booting. I have tried booting the phone over and over but it won't work. Not until i plug a charger in it. While charging or just after charging the phone works fine. When i'm not charging it keeps working for a couple of hours until it turns off again.
I have tried several roms. None of them changed anything. I have reflashed hboot but it didn't help. Wiping battery stats won't help. That said, wiping battery stats or rebooting the phone changes the battery level almost every time. Battery level could be 71% just before it turns off. Then after a reboot it says 45% (and it turns off again). Next reboot it says 59%, etc... My phone is absolutely useless now. I can't have it plugged in a charger all day.
Is anyone else having these problems?
What's wrong with my phone and how do i fix this? I think HTC won't fix this free of charge (because of flashing) so that's not really an option.

I can't find the file. I tried finding it using the Terminal Emulator app (root access).
Maybe there wasn't any last_kmsg written? I can see the /proc/kmsg log.

Tried adb too, but no luck. There is no last_kmsg file. My problem probably doesn't generate that file.

So there is no solution? (since you didn't post it)
I formatted everything (even /sdcard) flashed a 3.19 based rom and it seems to be stable now. I have been using it for 3 days now and it did not shutdown. Battery level looks a lot better too. So this could be a solution for others too.
Back again. Phone randomly turns off again.
This time, i have a last kernel log. I actually have 2 (because the phone keeps rebooting).
http://pastebin.com/JS3EUyJB
http://pastebin.com/t7RMBZfh
Another thing is that fastboot tells me my battery is too low to flash anything (at what battery level is that?). When i boot, android tells me that i have a battery level of at least 50%. Everybody keeps telling me that the battery level in android cannot be wrong. I think this battery reading is very wrong and it's one of the causes of the random shutdowns.
I don't know anything about kernel logs. Can anybody tell me if the logs in those links say anything useful?

I charged the phone, so it's not in the same state as yesterday any more. Wiping battery stats never helped me in any way.
My battery stats are messed up any way. I unplugged my phone this morning at 100%. In 4 hours it dropped to 69% and it stayed there for the next 4 hours. It will probably shutdown somewhere in the next couple of hours while it still says 69%.
Hey guys ..
I have Htc One m8 ..
from past few days i am facing a weird problem ..
Battery percentage is not going up while charging .. Decreasing at very low pace while using ..
When charging its stuck on the percentage it was ..
Battery timing is still perfect but the problem is that it seems like its not updating the battery percentage or what ..
Tried wiping cache partition .. Tried battery recalibrate .. But nothing works .. Wiping Cache Gives the true value but i cant always wipe cache to know on what percent my battery is .. :crying:
I was on stock rom when problem occured now i have flashed ViperOneM8 but problem is still there .. i am very confused ..
Its Hardware issue or software ?
Help me guys...
Hello,
I having same issue with you. Have you fix issue yet??
My phone still charging. and battery percentage going down to 1%. And stuck on 1% to power off.
Try many stock rom and custom rom. Try to replace new battery but no luck. Now i'm using my phone with 1% battery on 6hrs on screen or 2 days standby.
