Hello Community,
I only wanted to write a Thread about the good Cases from Spigen but their bad support.
This year in January i bought the Spigen Neo Hybrid Case from Spigen. I really loved this case, it protectet my Nexus 5 really good.
In October the frame of the case broke, like you can see in the picture. I thought that would be no problem and i wrote an email to the support email of Spigen ( [email protected]) . This was the 9th of October. I got the automatically answer that the Support will need some more time to answer my Mail. So I waited two weeks, but i still got no answer. So i wrote a new Mail, got the automatic answer, but nobody cared about my problem.
After that i wrote a message to the Facebook Site of Spigen (09.11.14). They finally answered the day after and wanted to know my order number. I gave them the number (10.11.14), but until know they didn´t answer.
This is the stand of the problem. I wanted to know in this Thread if somebody else had this much problems with the SPIGEN Support...
That was the last time I bought a product from Spigen...

Well, i'm using spigen hard case from Nexus Gift Pack (Which is free), and from as far i can see, it's nice.
BUT, since it's hard case, it means that my nexus kinda has a scratch around the corner. It's not really visible but it's there.
So.. yeah, 9/10
I had good customer service from Spigen when their first wave of slim armor had a defect; they ended up sending a revised version of the case to everyone who sent a ticket. They also did the same thing for their first wave of tempered glass, so the 2 products that I have bought from them have had good customer service. Sorry to hear that yours wasn't as pleasant as mine, hopefully everything works out.
Since today nothing changed...
I didnt found the phone number of them, anybody has one?
The number for their main office is +1-949-502-5121. It's on the site.
Well i must share my experience with spiegen support. I have the same case and the same thing happened to mine where the part of the frame at the microusb broke off. I bought the case on spiegens official ebay store, and contacted them with my issue. The next day i got a reply to send them a picture of the case which i did, and the same day they replied that a replacement frame will be sent under warranty. So i must say that im positively surprised with their response time and their costumer service.

Noreve make some of the nicest cases I know (for phones) so quite excited to see them release this one.
It is basically like the Moto Portfolio case as far as I can tell and they are saying it will be in stock on 30th April which is a nice and firm date, whether they hit or not is another matter.
Its a little pricey and I can't decide if the PDair series might be nicer for a similar sort of cost.
Anyway just thought I would share the knowledge as I am still tooing and froing between case choices.

Thank you for this! I cant tell if this case has the appropriate charging cutouts. Also looks expensive, any idea if they ship outside the U.S.?

It certainly appears to since it is really only held at the corners. I am not sure it is worth it but from my experience of their phone cases I can vouch for their quality. They ship worldwide or at least many places, definitely uk and Europe and Australia

that looks exactly like the new official moto portfolio case
Has anyone bought one of these yet? I can't find any videos of one on YouTube. I can't decide between PDAirs white ugly(ish) stitching or Noreves corner-holding case. The Noreve case looks far prettier to my eye, but I don't think I like the plastic that shows when the case is being used to prop up the Zoom, that and currently it's ~£75.
Decisions, decisions. I am off to NYC at the end of the month and I want a nice case for viewing the Xoom on the plane. If anyone knows of another professional, smart looking case I'd love to hear of it.
*Edit* Okay, I just spent £98 on the Noreve with fast shipping. Probably about £35 overpriced if you include shipping but meh.
same gripe for me as the moto case; why couldnt they just cut a hole for the charger!
Very interested in your experience with it so please keep us posted.

Ten days later, still no case, 3-5 days delivery is what I was quoted when I paid $32.50 for express delivery... Money well spent.
As a follow up, I have e-mailed them today and got a response, after waiting ten days I have to wait another ten days before I will receive it! I paid over $30 for delivery and it will take three weeks to come! What an absolute JOKE, so now I have a $160 case I can't take to New York with me, the whole reason I bought it. And I'm not buying another cheaper one, ~$200 on cases is rediculous. I am so pissed off with them, I don't recommend them at all as far as getting your product in a reasonable timeframe goes.

it has already been 3 weeks since i placed my order, and it still hasnt shipped. after looking at all the other available xoom cases, this is the only one i want... so i wait. i will post photos, and my impressions when it arrives.
Just an update for those of you that might be interested in the Noreve xoom case. They are apparently having production issues right now, with a lot of new cases coming out all at once.
I'll just add to Kalavere's warning that the Noreve case cannot be recommended at this point.

Aye, apparently they messed up the production of the Xoom cases. I got an e-mail from them to say something of the like which is why I now have to wait 3+ weeks to receive mine. I'd steer well clear at least until I get mine which will be sometime before the 6th of June I am told, not that I'm even in the country to receive it, *grumble, grumble...*
@Kalavere
Surely at this point unless you still really want it you could ask for a refund although they do make nice cases they are expensive IMO and in the past I've tended to use PDair whose quality I have always found to be excellent. So far I just have the Motorola gel protector and am not sure what else I'm going to get yet but am considering an easel type stand and a neoprane case as have seen some nice ones on E-Bay and it works out at under £20 for both.
Marc
Well I came back from the States yesterday after a week or so away and I still hadn't received it, 28 days later...
I e-mailed them yesterday and demanded a refund, as they will only refund after a 30 day period has passed and you haven't received the product. I got a response this afternoon with a refund. They also had the cheek to respond to my English e-mails in FRENCH. I won't buy another product of theirs again, ~£100 for a case direct from the manufacturer is overpriced, and they are rude and incompetent.
I was forced to buy the official Moto Xoom case from Carphone Warehouse before leaving for the US, and I think I'll be sticking with this one, cheap and it works. I don't use a case at home so it's only for transporting it.
Bottom line, if you really have to buy this case, avoid buying it directly from Noreve like the plague.
I've had the noreve case for a couple weeks, and although it is very well built, it has a very negative impact on the xoom's wifi radio. It cuts my signal in half and web pages take forever to load... or don't load at all. As soon as I take the case off everything goes back to normal. Its weird. Xoom wifi.
So I had a Zagg screen protector - and it was just TOO rubbery and orange peel-ish.
Ordered a XO skin - was super excited and got it today. However they shipped me the TOTALLY wrong cover. I just ordered the screen part itself. What I got looks like something that would go to a blackbeery or some sort of flip phone (it has two seperate small pieces)
Anyone else ever go thru this? I emailed the site (waiting on a reply) but I'm slightly disappointed.
The quality of the screen protector itself looks awesome and I can't wait to get the right piece but how do you send someone a flip phone piece when you order a honking huge galaxy nexus protector?
Their customer support is pretty good. I had them send me a replacement screen protector for free... I'm sure they'll resolve your issue really quickly.
I've read about this happening a few times. Don't worry, it is frustrating but the customer support is great and they will ship out the correct protector to you.. hopefully
I've heard of this happening a few times as well. It hasn't happened to me yet though. lol. (knock on wood). As stated though, their customer service is phenomenal! If you tell them what happened they'll sort it out right away.
Thanks for the reassurances guys
I was just worried I might get some sneaky stuff from them like "oh sorry about that, send the incorrect one back to us and as soon as we get it we will ship out the correct one" which at this point it with all the back and forth it would be a month from the time I ordered to the time I get the correct one.

Don't worry, their customer service is really good. They messed up my order too, it takes them 2 days sometimes to respond but they will send you another one free and whatever one you have you just keep. They've replaced mine when I complained about a small dent on mine no questions asked.
Please excuse our mistake, I will get you the correct skin sent out today.
Thank you and have a great day.

Looks like I dont have to return the iPad one! They indeed have good reputation for customer service!
received my XO skin today. they sent me a case fit when I ordered an edge to edge. Contacted them through email and awaiting a response.
They as a company must be taking a pretty large loss with all these miss shipments. Would be prudent for them to get their shipping department in order.
I applied the skin and it looked flawless after 2 hours. I spent 15 minutes blow drying it, alternating from warm to cold air on low setting. the warm air sped up the smoothing out process for me. Anyway, it looks good, but I didn't want a case fit as I use a Ringke case and it doesn't overlap the screen.
They didn't mess up my order. It happens though. I've heard nothing but great things about their customer service. just a longer wait. :/
Just an update. received an email just now stating that they will be sending me out a replacement skin plus an extra skin for my troubles, but they said they wouldn't be sending a squeegee or solution which I have plenty of. quick response and excellent customer service. They still need to work on their shipping department.
Well, it happens. They shipped me the wrong screen protector TWICE, one for an iPhone (*shudder*) and one for the Motorola RAZR before finally shipping me the correct one.
Do any of you have the screen with rainbow strips in one half of it? The one for my nexus is like this. Should I contact CS and request a new one?

they will send you a new one. Just remember if you peel back the screen protector to adjust it after sqeegeeing, thats when you may have problems with rainbow effects, or if you have any oil at all on the screen before applying, it will be distributed in the solution during application and cause a rainbow effect. I wish they would say these things in there instructions.
i used soap and water to clean my screen with a soft rag. then I paper toweled it and then used an air duster to remove the paper towel particles. Probably didnt need to go to those extremes, but im anal about how my screen looks, and my screen looks flawless.
As others have said, steam up your bathroom and apply in there if you have problems with dust particles.

They are great. My first sp peeled up and they sent a new one. Then I got a case and ordered a case fit. They shipped a standard fit sp. I emailed them and 5 days later had the right sp. No questions asked, great service.
Hey everyone, I ordered one of these on june 14th. It got mixed up in customs or something and I never recieved it. I emailed the company and was promptly sent a replacement free. I got one of the sleeves in the mail today. The customer service was very good and id do business with them again!
I am heading on a roadtrip for a few days and will not be able to deliever a review right away.
I wanted to post up for any questions and provide a link. I will put it through the paces on vacation and will write up a full review
here is a link to their galaxy products. they offer a few different sleeves.

I ordered the alcantara one, in grey. It feels good and the fit is good. it fits tight and doesnt slide out.
When I got my new 2013 Nexus 7 I wanted to make sure I got a case and screen protector asap. So I ordered the i-Blason case because it showed as one of the only cases that was actually in stock. This was on August 3rd. A couple days later it showed as shipped, but it wasnt actually on the way, it was just that the seller had created the shipping label. Its now 10 days later and it hasnt moved at all. I have emailed the seller on Amazon to ask about it, but I think what they did was list it as in stock even before they actually had it. Anyway just wanted to see if anyone else actually ordered and received it? Thanks
I got mine, but it really shipped about 6 days after I got the "shipped" notice. Also the USPS tracking number I got when they said it was shipped was apparently re-used because the post office showed it as having been delivered a year ago (it did finally get corrected once it actually shipped). I've got a Moko case on order now which should be better (I hope). The i-Blason is kind of annoying because the cover won't fold back flat (but it does at least provide protection when carrying it around, so it is better than no case).
I received mine
>^.^< Sent from meow HTC One which is like catnip to me atm
Also received mine. The fold issue is not as annoying to me. I like it so far. Pen part of the Stylus broke already,(cheaply constructed) but other than that, no issues.
I ordered the orange color because it's the only color which has the order fulfilled by Amazon.com. Will receive it today !

I got mine a few days ago.
It took a couple of days before I got the tracking number, which was not a big deal, but then it took 6 days before the post office reported actually receiving it for shipping. I was not happy about that. But I got it and it a nice case.
Hi:
I got mine on the 6th of August. I was happy to get any case so soon. The bending cover is a little irritating but otherwise, a fine case.
Tom
Got mine. The fold issue is a bit annoying but OK for now (at least its something to protect my N7 for now). I ordered the Blurex case too so ill know in a few days how that is.
Finally got a reply from the seller saying "The Nexus 7 II heated black cases were delayed due to a quality control issue. Your order should ship by no later than 8/16. Thank you for your patience."
I received the same email today. Guess ill just hold out. Not worth canceling with the price so low anyway
I had the same experience as well. Ordered on the 3rd (sat), got a shipping notification on the 5th (Mon) but it was just the electronic shipping label. They didn't actually hand it over to USPS until the 9th (Fri). I felt a little duped when I realized what was happening because it clearly said in Stock and ready for shipping.
Then the case shows up and the cover doesn't fold flat. Yeah no more i-blason for me. I'm still hoping the cover will fold flat after some break-in but I may return this one as soon as I get another case anyway.

Let us know if the case you eventually get has a cover that can fold all the way back - that certainly seems to be the big quality issue with mine. Maybe they are adding a bit more slack the the "hinge".

I should be getting mine today, can you add a pic to show what you mean when you say it wont fold all the way down. Then I can compare it. Thanks
Don't have a good way to load a picture at the moment, but if you try to fold the cover all the way around flat against the back of the case, it gets to about 20 degrees and all the slack in the "hinge" is used up, it won't fold all the way against the back of the case, which makes it inconvenient to hold in your had for reading a book.
I just put a medium size rubber band in between the case and nexus 7.
When I fold it all the way back, I put the front cover underneath the rubber band, so that way I can let it hang with just my palm in the hand strap.

Sorry guys, I ended up selling the Nexus 7 before I got the i-Blason case. The case came today but I have no way to test it to see if it was revised in some way to fix the closing issue.
Mine came In today and even after the delayed shipping to supposedly address the quality issues it still can not be folded all the way back. Will take some pics tomorrow
I bought this case
And for the most part it is disappointing. Seems like when I try to prop of the stand it just doesn't fold in place right and the "stand" part of it that should prop it up is uneven and doesn't hold right. I feel like it's going to fall everytime. I should have done more research to find a better case, but you live and learn I guess. Will see if it just needs to be "broken in" to work right, if not I will purchase a better case later.
For those who have or may be looking to purchase the Spigen Slim Armor Case, mine came with a faulty power button which caused my N5 to do nothing but reboot. Spigeon response, then my original email...
(Please disregard my ramblings about the Hybrid case, its great and on my N5 right now)

We are very sorry to hear that you are having this issue with the power button. We noticed that some of the Slim Armor cases were not as perfect as they should have been. However, we will be sending you a brand new TPU to solve that issue! In addition, we want to include one of our Premium Nexus 5 Screen Protector with your replacement.
We thank you for your patience and understanding!

Placed my order with Amazon (order ID 114-3434852-3204213) about a week ago and received the Ultra Hybrid and Slim Armor cases for my new Nexus 5 just moments ago. Upon removing the Ultra Hybrid from the packaging, I discovered that the clear plastic back already has three scratches on the inside of the case, two running about half the length, where the third runs almost the entire length of the plastic back panel. The Slim Armor also is faulty - the Nexus 5 does nothing but reboot with it on. By looking at the case, it seems that the power button is too tight and causing constant reboots (http://youtu.be/TgOzTCT9XQw).
EDIT: After reading more about your cases, I removed the plastic covers on the Ultra Hybrid. Recommend placing a piece of tape or info that it is there. As for the Slim Armor, it appears this is a known issue with the power button that customers are waiting on for a fix.
Please advise how to proceed

I had to email them a couple of times and have only received what looks like an automated reply. At least it includes a case # so I know it's in the system.
My slim armor was very snug, TOOO snug - but over the last few days it seems to have someone become fairly usable. The power button isnt as sensitive but im curious to know if the newer cases are even better.

By the way, welcome to XDA. I see this was important enough to you to join the forums. Spigen is driving me crazy.
I just received my Slim Armor yesterday, my power button was fine but the back was raised at the bottom where the colored part hit the gray rubbery part. It seemed warped or something. Also I thought the case felt very strange with the odd sharp angles on the sides and back. I am returning mine.

It took a while, but the only reply I received was one with my tracking numbers. Which I had already told them I had.
I think that their CSR might be more than slightly retarded.
Mine had the same power button issue. Spigen sent me the same email and i've been waiting since last week for it to ship out. Since i was getting a new tpu i figured i should see if i could fix the issue on mine and it actually was a pretty easy fix. I've got one of those horribly useless pedipaws (http://www.amazon.com/PediPaws-3269-6-Pet-Nail-Trimmer/dp/B001FMHZSC) devices that scares the crap out of my dogs. I pulled the gaurd off and used it to file down the piece of plastic/rubber on the inside that actually contacts the power button. I didnt have to remove much material at all. Doing that completely fixed the issue. It responds exactly like the volume buttons, so there's a satisfying click when pressed.

Back in college I worked in CS, so I want to sympathize with them but on the other hands when I'm paying for a product and it's defective and I've reached out a few times, then its on the company to get back to me - regardless of the influx of correspondences. They need to refocus resources (in this case, staff) to handle these emails asap. I hope I'm not the only one who feels that way

I was focused on their CS. But it seems the person who made the molds is probably also mildly retarded. And their QC department needs to get fired.
At this point, they could always hire a temp with decent references to email us. And hire some other temps to pack the boxes. They need to make this right and I don't want a lousy free screen protector or wasting my time.
I received my slim armor case last sat, the power button wont work so I filed a refund request through amazon uk straight away. I also ordered Ultra Hybrid version soon after.
they emailed back asked if I'd like to have the TPU part replaced or simply a refund. I replied with a refund confirmation since I've ordered the Ultra Hybrid one. they then refunded me on monday without asking for returns.:good:

Their contact page on their website.
I just received my Ultra Hybrid case today and the power/volume buttons are way too sensitive. It just takes a light tap to activate them. I engaged my power button so many times just by holding the phone in my hand with the case on. I waited almost two weeks to receive it and what a disappointment this is.
I emailed them this past Friday about my faulty Slim Armor, and have yet to receive a response back. I contacted them via amazon and the contact on their website.
I got my replacement TPU, here is a comparison: Old one vs. new one.
As you can see, they did not cut the button from the rest of the case on one side which makes it hard to press. I might cut it myself as the lip inside the button has been shortened and so it should not be a problem anymore.
Ordered one myself 2 days ago... I hope it's not faulty like any ones...
