How do i turn off PIE security in Lollipop? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Several root apps are rendered useless due to Lollipops new security protocol. im not even familiar with it at all, how do i disable this security feature on certain apps or all together? I get the error "only position independent executables (PIE) are supported" Any help would be appreciated
Device: Nexus 7 (2013) wifi only model
OS: Android Lollipop (5.0)
Root: Yes (Chainfire's One-Click Root method)

The is a PIE bypass fix that allows more apps to gain root. Search this thread or general.

OxygenOS 10 Dynamic Software Update support

Hi everyone,
On the Android website I've read about the Dynamic Software Update. A feature that comes with Android 10 and lets anyone run a GSI based image without flashing on their Treble compatible phone.
The requirements also state that the phone has dynamic partition activated.
Now that we've got Android 10 on our OP5T is this feature enabled?
I've tried running all the commands, the DSU application starts but there is no install of the GSI image.
Is something that I need to do?
Thanks,
SYA

How to Upgrade Samsung A3 2017 SM-A320FL to Android 8.0 Oreo?

As per title, I have a Samsung A3 2017 with Android version 7.0 on it. I would like to upgrade this to Android 8.0 or higher if possible using conventional means, i.e. not rooting, flashing or any other fancy business.
So far I've gone to: Settings -> Software Update -> Download updates manually, it shows me:
The latest updates have already been installed.
Current version: A320FLXXS2BRAC/A320FLOXX1BQK6/A320FLXXS2BRA5
'Download automatic updates' is toggled on here.
The other thing I've tried is: Settings -> About Phone, to try and find a System Update option but there is nothing present here.
Any ideas how this can be done, if it's even possible? Thank you

Root with stock Android 11?

Samsung just released Android 11, UI 3.1 as a software update. Can I gain root access with stock Android 11/UI 3.1 installed? Other threads about getting Android 11 root begin with an Android 10 configuration.
Just looking for clarification before I jump down the rabbit hole. I'd really like to get rid of the bloatware and maybe have my A70 run a bit faster.

How to avoid crash that happens when using ACTION_WIFI_ADD_NETWORKS intent in the android 11 devices

In our app, we are trying to add a wifi network programmatically using the EAP-SIM method. Until Android 9 version devices, we are using AddNetwork API. In Android 10 devices, we are using AddNetworkSuggestions API. In the higher version devices (Android 11), when we tried using AddNetworkSuggestions, it returned an error code "STATUS_NETWORK_SUGGESTIONS_ERROR_ADD_NOT_ALLOWED".
So as an alternative, we are currently using ACTION_WIFI_ADD_NETWORKS intent to add our network into the Saved Networks (as suggested by Google - https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/171909438). For reference we are using this link https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/wifi-save-network-passpoint-config
The crash issue was happening in Pixel devices previously when we tested around Dec 2020 and Jan 2021. We noticed that the issue got fixed in the 5th Feb 2021 security patch release in Pixel devices. So in our codes we implemented a workaround of checking if the Security Patch Level of the device is greater than the ValidPatch which is 2021-02-05 and then we proceeded with calling the intent. Even with this check, the crash still happens in a Redmi Note 9s device with Android version 11 RKQ1.200826.002 and Android Security patch update 2021-04-01.
Anyone facing/faced a similar issue and got any workaround to avoid the crash?
Or
Does anyone have another way of adding a wifi network programmatically using the EAP-SIM method in Android 11 and higher version devices?
Or
Does anyone have info on when the update with the fix for the crash will be released?
