Okay I've posted this on so many forums and no one responds and it's kinda frustrating.
I've done extensive searching on this and can't seem to find a solution. Brand new htc one m8, and text messages almost always say they fail to go through, even if they do in fact go through. A majority of incoming calls Will never show up either. I've missed several work calls already, can anyone just detail a fix?
For the record I'm on Verizon, but I've been researching this issue extensively and it doesn't seem carrier specific.

Any help would be appreciated if I can't figure this out I'll probably return the phone

Try a factory reset first. Next contact Verizon to have them to see if you have any account problems. Lastly try a replacement if you're within your 30 days they'll exchange it for a new one in store.

hey I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this yet, as I can't find any info about this in any forum so far:
Whenever I flash a rom, this issue doesn't show up right away, but it always does, regardless of phone or build. Currently every sms message I send is stuck in a "sending" status on my device. The recipient always gets the message, but my phone thinks that it hasn't been sent. So, whenever I reboot my phone, if I haven't cleared all of my threads, my phone will resend every sent message on my phone. If I flash the same rom on top of itself, it goes away for a few more days, but it always comes back. Again, this is regardless of rom and even phone (D1, Eris, fascinate, DX, and incredible). Does anyone know what could be causing this? At the very least if someone could direct me to the property place to ask this question, I'd appreciate it.

What email account is this happening with?
If its over many phones it could be a problem with the towers around you, try calling verizon about it but get to the to the top of tech support

It's not an email account, it's sms.

I don't think it's a tower issue. When I send a message, in handcent there is s spinning wheel next to the message until the phone registers the message as "sent". this happens in it's own way across any and all sms apps on my phone. If I create and send the message in the stock messages app, it will show as sending in my other app and vice-versa. For the record, I have tried this with handcent, chomp sms and go sms.

This definitely sounds like a network issue. Have you tried sending a sms with a "dumb phone" and see if you have the same problem?

No, I haven't. I'll try it tonight when I get home from work. I sent a text to myself last night to test, and while it got to me immediately, it sent itself again 4 hours later. I'm not sure if that means anything significant or not but I'll try using another phone tonight.

This was a known issue with some phones and some SMS/MMS clients. Handcent implemented a fix, not sure about other clients. See this post in android forums for implementing the fix: http://androidforums.com/android-ap...on-without-resending-old-sms.html#post2136469

Thanks for this info!! I'm currently trying go sms again jaded on a reply in that thread, which seems to be working. I want to try the handcent fix, but I don't feel like taking the time to see how well consistently it works and risk text bombing people again. Hopefully some better themes start popping up

I went all day last night with no texts and then today with none at all. Finally I had my friend text me, and I never received the text. I can text him, and he will get it, but I cannot receive his. Mobile data works and I can make calls fine. Any ideas?
Running CM7.1 RC1.

*Bump*
I hate to double post, but if someone could honestly give me an idea as to what they think may be going on, that would be awesome. I called Sprint and talked to their customer care people and the best they gave me was to come into the store and get a hard reset.
I have changed from the CM7 ROM to Synergy to see if that was the issue, and it didn't change anything. I flashed the combination ZIP of everything from this thread and nothing has seemed to work.
My friend has an HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon and I am using his phone to try to fix mine. I can send a text to him and him receive it instantly. I can send texts from his phone to mine, see the 3G data bars go nuts and then absolutely nothing happens.
The customer care reps for Sprint sent me a "Test" text from their system to see if I would receive it, and nothing happened.
I'm completely lost on the issue, and texting is a rather big part of what I do on my phone, so I would really enjoy having it back up and running. It was working fine before yesterday.
The only thing I can remember changing on my phone was the RAM optimization script posted. I flashed it to see how it would work, but that is the only thing I can remember changing.
If any of you have a clue, please fill me in. Much appreciated.
Do you have your phone number integrated with google voice?

I believe so.. Could that cause it?

Edit: Logged into Google Voice and found that it had all of my texts on there.. Enable the feature for it to send them to my phone as well, and everything is working fine now. A solid day of flashing/rebooting and searching and it was Google Voice... *Sigh*
Thanks for the help guys.
I've been using gvoice thru Sprint primarily since they teamed up and lately I've been having an issue. I'm not receiving all my texts from my partner for sometimes days after he sent them. Texts are basically received when he sends them or not received by gvoice for hours or days later. I've only recently noticed this with his texts and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Ive been useing it since the start as well. have not had this issue or any other issues. How ever before gvoice thing i would never receive any text messages from one of my friends ever (6+ months), but was fixed when i switched to gvoice.. So maybe something similar but i dont know what it is.
sidenote: he is on t-mobile . but i dunno if that matters cause my entire famliy is on t-mobile as well and i got all there messages.
Hopefully u find your answer its annoying
Yeah I've enjoyed the sprint+gvoice experience until now. It's really odd. For now I've switched to talking to my partner via gtalk. I've filed a report with the gvoice help site. I'm debating calling Sprint but I'm unaware if it's a Sprint related issue or a gvoice issue BC it's not like gvoice isn't notifying me of the incoming texts, it's just not receiving random texts from my partner for days.

its worth a shot but i bet they have rather limited google voice knowledge. Maybe for last resort go into settings of ur google voice and revert back to sprint and see if it comes through. Ive never done this so i dont know if you can revert right back to google voice or not , I dont see why not though.
I had to spend 1/2 hour on phone with tech support due to Google voice "taking over my phone". It wouldn't allow me to call without it or disable it. I don't think my situation is relevant but perhaps Sprint can help on their end.

I hate gvoice... It completely screwed call and text receipt on my wife's EVO. The only way to get rid of it is to go to the Google voice website and remove your phone from the account. Once we did that all was well.
Just posting in case anyone has or had the same GVoice issues that I have.
I disabled GV via desktop GV settings and reverted back to my original GV #. I then re-enabled the Sprint+GV integration and so far I have received all of the texts that have been sent to me just like I should. *EDIT* Problem still exists. I'm ****ed.
Hi, I've tested/re-tested and have found that while I am able to send a text message to a certain number, I am unable to receive any from that number. I've done a hard reset on the phone and even called the sprint hotline (who were unable to figure it out). The sprint people saw all the texts on the server that are destined for my phone from that number but I did/do not receive them.
I've used handcent as well as the native messaging app but no cigar.
Does anyone have any insight into what may be happening here.
Is it the persons phone who is trying to send it? If u can send and receive it doesn't sound like your phone.

I use google voice integration and had this problem before. form some reason gv marked my wife's number as spam and blocked her calls and texts. I couldn't even call or text her either. so if you're using gv check the spam filter.
Do know what kind of phone they're using? Its possible they need a hard reset...
We had a lady in yesterday who couldn't send texts to 5 different people, a hard reset fixed it for her.

I did a hard reset on the phone and the problem remains. Yes, I do have google voice on the phone but I think after the hard reset, the application was removed. Would my number still be blocked in the spam filter? I'll check the voice.google.com site out.

The phone I'm not receiving texts from is a nexus S phone that has t-mobile service.

The are google voice settings that persist after the app is removed, definitely check out the desktop settings. This sounds like an issue on that line not on your epic.

As it turns out, the issue was on Sprint's side. They had escalated the issue to their networking department on Friday. On Sunday all of a sudden all of the missing texts started pouring into the Epic 4g. Apparently the engineers had reset something to get this to work although they haven't contacted me about it. So far from what I can see, the problem is resolved now.
The problem happened again. The Epic 4g Touch is no longer getting messages from the Nexus S. Messages from all other numbers show up.
I'm getting tired of this since it takes 2 escalations at Sprint to fix this problem (Networking dept). Since we just bought the phone, I think it's just best to return it.
I'm using a note 3 with my Moto360 on tmobile. I have 2 issues with the watch.
1.When I receive a text or email I get no option to reply like others seem to have. Just "send to phone"
2. If I receive more than one text or email from different people around the same time I can only see the subject line in both notifications, there is no way to read either message only when I send it to the phone can I read it there.
Anyone else having these issues and does anyone know how to fix them?

You have to either tap the notification, or swipe it up, then swipe to the left to see all of the options

Some apps don't have wear options yet. Until we get more updates it is what it is.

I was having the same issues using my 1st gen Moto X and it was driving me crazy. I was able to resolve both issues by switching the defualt SMS app to Hangouts and by removing my gmail account from the default Android mail app that is built in. I setup my gmail using the actual gmail app and it worked. I now can view multiple emails on the Moto 360 and have the options to reply to texts.
