Has any done a left to right swipe on the Status Bar and had a "Baby Crying Sensor" pop up? Mine does it.....had not noticed it before....lol.
Sent from my SM-N910V DE / Note 4 / TWRP 2.8.1.1 trltevzw
Yeah its in the settings along with door bell detector
Settings/Accessibility/Hearing/Sound Detectors
I have the detector disabled but randomly when I use the fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone (T-Mobile) it unlocks to the baby crying detector configuration screen.
edit: found what triggers it - if I swipe down on the lockscreen as if to pull down the notification drawer, that results in a vibration. Then when I unlock with the fingerprint reader 100% of the time it brings me to the configuration screen for the baby monitor.

I was searching for a way to make Tasker wake phone when I pick it up, so I just have to at it to unlock it. In looking into this, I discovered Gravity Screen, which amongst other things, can wake your phone when you pick it up, straight to Face Unlock. It seems to work well but I'm not sure of the impact on battery. I'm not using it to lock the screen... Really only using it for the one thing.

I've been using this app on my last two phones in order to be able to double tap the home screen on my launcher (Action Launcher) to turn off the screen, WITHOUT locking the phone. For some reason though, this no longer works on the OP5T, double tapping just simply won't trigger the screen off shortcut. Really disappointed in this, are you able to get this to work on yours?
I do also use its proximity sensor feature so that it automatically turns the screen on upon removal from my pocket, and it turns the screen back off once I put the phone back into my pocket, which triggers the angle needed to turn the screen off. That feature still works as intended, and better yet, preps the screen for the face unlock. And as far as I can tell, hardly uses any extra battery.

Hmmm... I use Nova Launcher and I use the double tap to lock the phone. I've never wanted it to not lock. I wasn't aware that there is a double tap action in Gravity Screen? I'll have a look.

It's not really within Gravity Screen itself, you'd have to use the launcher to set up the double tap on home screen to a shortcut. From there, you can pick one of Gravity Screen's shortcuts that allow you to either just turn off the screen, or do a persistent off screen, where you have to use the power button to bring it back on. I believe the problem I had with using the double tap to lock screen feature built into the launchers is that it forces you to have to enter in a password afterwards...face unlock or fingerprint do not work.

Hmmm. Not true with Nova. I double tap to lock and I can use fingerprint to unlock. However, I believe that I requires root for this lock method. Do you have root?

Nope, I don't have root. I did try the same shortcuts with Nova, and it didn't work there either.
have used the app on my old OPO.. now on 5T it's just perfect.. just pick up the phone.. and prepare for landing on homescreen without any tap or button press
does not consume a lot of battery
I've used this in the past as a way to turn on the screen when it comes out of my pocket

This application wakes up your phone, and it works well on my OP5T, it's called "Always on AMOLED"you can download it from F-Droid open source apps, Yalp Store and Google Play. I like that it is low on resources, double tap wake up screen option, lock screen clock, date, battery, custom message and notifications.
This has been bugging the ISH out of me....
On my OP6.. if i was on a call and i touched my FP sensor it unlocks the phone for me to access anything i want.
When on my P3XL doing the same doesn't produce the same results at all, i have to bring down notification window press settings and then it asks for FP.
I also have my navbar hidden, which can be affecting how this entire thing functions too, not sure.
Has someone figured out a way around this?
I just called my phone from my work number and the fingerprint sensor unlocked. Phone was locked when I called it, I called my phone, swiped up to answer. While in the call I tapped the home button and was taken to the lock screen. Touching fingerprint sensor brought me to home screen. With the screen off, touching fingerprint sensor also unlocked and brought me to the home screen.

well that's because you still have your home button..
I suppose this is more relative to those using gestures and hid their navbar...
I also did it with screen off, as I said, and it worked both ways.

Try shutting the screen off first. I just tried again and with phone locked got a call and pressed sensor with screen on and nothing happened. Tap power first then touch sensor and it should unlock. I don't have gesture nav so I can't rest that part.

What gesture app are you using. Some will pause themselves when the phone is locked. When you answer the phone while it's locked the app may have paused it's self so it's not really running. That's why your swipe up to go home is not working

Hey, I've found about a bug on our cute little phone. If you did already setup the fingerprint and you have enabled double tap to jump to camera you'll have this bug, at least I have. While the screen is off, if you jump to camera with double tap option on power button and immediately place your scanned finger on scanner you will darken your screen except in nav. bar in status bar, the screen is not interactive at all except upper and lower part of screen. If you lock and unlock your phone, it's back to normal, or sometimes it would fix it if you would just lower the status bar. Am I the only one who has this bug, or is there somebody else as well?
I don't have it. Feb update Pie.

Yup, I tried it with the latest update (March) and indeed it happens what you say. It's not a very important bug since you need to be pretty fast and can get solved just by locking and unlocking again but it's there.

Theres no way it can unlock in your pocket if you have a secure lock pin pattern face recognition or fingerprint. So i don't see your problem in this?
It won't open any apps if it is locked.
So what is everyone complaining about.
As for me my touch protection works just fine.

Problem isnt security. I use face rec. and fingerprint. But phone every step while walking waking up. Battery drain very very fast. Because wake up and screen on for 10 seconds. Yesterday i walked 1 hours, my phone screen on 15 minutes in my pocket. Is it normal for you. There is a big problem
There is possibility to unlock phone in pocket if you have set on "on-body detection" in "smart lock".
I initially had Ghost Touch problems during jogging but with the change of placement of the phone, i now dont have that. Make sure that the screen faces the pocket side not the thigh side. Most of the ghost touches/DT2W happen while interaction with the thigh.

I have some problem and resolve this with disable double tap wake
up
FIXED!!!
I found the fix! Thank the lord, because this was very annoying. (I'm using A50, not sure if this fix will work for S10 and A70).
You can re-enable the double-tap and lift to wake, you can even re-enable on body detection, fingerprints, trusted location and gear(smart watch, headphones etc) unlocking methods, because none of them are the issue.
The issue is Samsung decided to ship the phone with flip wallet automatic unlock enabled.
To fix it:
Go into settings -> scroll down to advanced features -> click accessories -> turn off automatically unlock on flip wallet.
I have not had the issue since I changed this setting, I have double tap to wake and lift to wake both enabled. I have face detection on. I even have smart-lock on for my galaxy watch and a trusted location.
I am not using finger scan(too slow) or on body detection(don't need it, nor do I trust it), but have also tested them and they work fine after this change.
This single handedly fixed the issue for me after weeks of searching the web and trying different settings. So thank you Samsung for shipping the device with an obscure setting that very few people will use enabled!
Cheers, please spread this so that others can find out.
So on my s10 i can tap the screen to reveal the fingerprint icon so that i know where i need to place my finger but this setting is missing from the note 10?
This means i have to double tap to wake the screen and then use the fingerprint scanner! Its much quicker the other way and enables me to bypass the lock screen altogether!
Anyone else know what iam talking about and do you have the setting on your note 10 plus ?
I can single tap the screen to get the sensor location. AOD is set to "tap to show". Hope that helps

Oh interesting! Maybe AOD needs to be on so! AOD is off on my S10 but i can still tap to show the indicator. The settings on my S10 that give me that option are not available on my Note 10 +

I tried that and it works but then the clock is displayed too which i dont want! Basically i can unlock the phone from sleep using my fingerprint and bypass the lockscreen but have no idea where to place my thumb! On the S10 you could tap to see an indicator but you cant on the Note 10 for some reason! You have to guess or else your forced to use the always on display

If youre just unlocking it right after tapping it, why does it matter if the clock shows for a split second?
I turned off my AOD and tapping the screen brings up the place to touch without anything else...
Don't know why software experiences can be so different, I'm in Oz if that helps with a stock Exynos variant...
