So basically I can boot up the phone but it only shows the LG Logo and its stuck there. It can turn on but it cant go to download mode. The phone is recognized as a device but its unspecified. Help me with this ASAP.
Have you try pushing and hold power + volum down same time. Once lg logo come on push and hold same buttons putting it in download mode?
I had the same thing and the above post was indeed the solution.
Did that and it worked!

1. Turn off your device.
2. With the device turned off, press and hold the Vol UP + Power i think or Vol Down + Power and Factory Reset should appear.
3. When in the menu press POWER again
Have been trying and cant seem to get it... ive been wondering how to get into download mode as well cant seem to anymore after installing cw,m
Download mode vol up +vol down same time. Keep hold and connect usb cable. When see downloadmode release vol up and down

Anyone can guess a reason that factory reset wouldnt work? it just boots in to bootloop with power + vol down.
hi,
my galaxy w stuck in bootloop. actually, i dont even have to press the power button, it ON automatically, shows samsung logo, and OFF, keeps repeating. unable to enter recovery mode or download mode. download mode appears, but for 2 seconds only, then turns off and back to samsung logo. couldnt use CWM or Odin. if i unplug the battery, and plug in again, it turns ON automatically without even pressing the ON button. tried pressing all the button, it shows RAMDUMP for few seconds and into bootloop again.
can this be undone??
any solution??
kindly help.
was running on cm-10.1-beta1 + skull kernel v1.9_highmem. using clockworkmod 6.0.4.4.
That is a hardware problem.....the power button specifically..... The fact that it does a power on...power off loop is a classic symptom.....
All Samsung phones have a 2 year warranty....that's the only option......
So it's NOT a brick....if you do claim under warranty, it's likely that the entire main board will be replaced, as the power button is soldered directly to it......you will get an unrooted, stock phone back from Samsung.

my phone is rooted, is it possible to claim warranty. because i heard that warranty void if phone is rooted. anyway, thanks for your help, at least i know i did'nt brick my phone.
I don't think there's any danger of them finding out it's rooted.....the phone won't boot normally....or boot into recovery or download modes.....and even if they could boot the phone, there's absolutely NO WAY they can argue that rooting caused the power button to fail.......

My device is stuck in a bootloop, and it is unable to boot into bootloader or recovery mode. Whenever I try turning the device on while holding power + volume up, it just shows the LG logo then gets stuck at a black screen. I can however get into download mode and factory reset.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I installed DN3 v3.0 2 days back. The phone was working fine. Today I installed an app from outside and was using it until my phone battery went low. SO I swapped the battery as I normally do. But this time phone wouldn't boot. It is stuck in a boot loop. As I put the battery, PHONE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY TURN ON!!!
And it will stick on the " samsung galaxy note2" screen. Then the screen would go black for a second or two and repeat. I pulled out the battery and put it back, again the same. I tried putting back the old battery, but in vain.
I cannot access recovery mode, and when I try to enter download mode, the phone would stick to that screen where it asks either to press volume up or volume down button to enter or exit download mode, and then again it would try to boot and stuck to boot screen.
Please help me, I don't know what to do.
