I'm looking for a leather belt clip that opens vertically (short side of the phone), and one that I can swivel if possible. I had one that opens horizontal, but it made it hard for me to take out of the case. Thanks

I just a case from Senacases and I love it. Should have got it 2 months ago when I got my SX66 but put it until last week when then phone slipped out of my hand taking it out of the case it came with. Ever seen a grown man cry? Slightly bruised but it survived. The Senacase slips over the keyboard and then you slide it down so you have full access to the keyboard and the protection you need. The belt clip is also awesome. Great case for $49.99
I use a Krussell Handit case, you can get one in the UK from add-ons world for £17.99.
You open the keyboard and slide it in place, a piece of clear plastic covers the keyboard and the leather flaps down and has poppers to secure it on the back.
I received mine with a standard belt clip and also a swivel belt clip, which is compatible with other swivel (multidapt) mounts.
You can plug in the bottom connector and access most functions pretty easily, including plugging a headset in whilst the case is closed.
The downside is that the sides aren't very well protected and the camera is covered by the back cover, although it does unclip it isn't very good.
i second the krussell soft case. it's excellent and doubles as a wallet
I will suggest a Krusell Multidapt case. It is unique compare to others. You don't have to take the whole deivce out while making a phone call.
Every phone that i have owned came out with this easy clip on case that clips onto the phone and has a tight rotating belt clip on the back. Its a 1 piece snap on casing with belt clip, not the 2 piece that you can add a belt clip using screws.
This was always cheap but i found it useful when i'm interchanging Extra batteries as i can remove the snap on clip with ease.
I can't find one for this phone, and i'm not talking about those leather casing with belt clip or the body glove.
Has anyone found this snap on case with belt clip i'm looking for?
Ebay doesn't even carry it!
I got the vehicle dock ($39 shipped from ABT Electronics) based on reviews here saying that it works with the Incipio Feather case. It does fit, but i wasn't 100% happy with they way the top clip was clipping (or not clipping) onto the case. The little plastic lip wont reach over the lip of the case and it clamps to the side of the case, with no contact with the rubber padding strip under there. If you have the dock / case combo, you should know what i am talking about. I decided to dremel out the little lip, now it clamps nicely on the rubber strip, and feels more secure. Here are some pictures of the fit.
Nice job there. Let me do it on mine.
nice this is what i was planning on doing when i got the dock. thanks for the post man.
I didn't see any information on here on the Nite Ize Clip Case Sideways XL (that's really the product name), so I'd thought I post a quick review.
First, a link to the manufacturer's website and an Amazon.com page:

Carrying my Nexus 5 - wrapped in an Ionic Guardian case - in my pocket just doesn't work. The phone is just too damn big. Wearing standard 4-pocket jeans, I doubt that I would be able to sit down with the phone in any of the pockets, and a set of keys would probably tear the face of the phone up. I will not wear a fanny pack, no matter how fashionable they are. Short of having a tailor sew an extra cargo pocket on all my trousers and shorts, I needed to find a better solution.
The Nite Ize Sideways XL definitely fits the Nexus 5 WITH the Ionic cover. It's a horizontal-carry only case. The case has elastic sewn-in the ends to check to the phone's horizontal movement; the phone lightly touches these stops, and horizontally it's a good fit. the vertical height of the case is about 1/4" (7mm) proud with the phone in and the velcro closure (more on that in a bit) centered; the case could be a 1/4" vertically shorter for a perfect fit, but there is some adjustment in the closure, so I can live with it. This case will probably fit most, if not all, Nexus 5 protective covers.
Features:
Colors: Black (purchased), Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity (for dance night, I guess), and Espresso (a dark brown fabric with black trim).
Construction: The fabric appears to be ballistic nylon with faux-leather accents. There's an thin internal pocket on the clip-side of the case that can readily accept credit cards, identification cards, folded currency, etc. The exterior ballistic nylon is backed internally by soft fabric; the case covers the phone completely. The case appears very durable and protective for the phone. With the "lid" of the case closed, the case is locked "solid".
Clip: A fairly wide black plastic clip. It will easily fit a 2" (5 cm) belt. As previously stated this is a horizontal-only case; the clip doesn't rotate. One advantage of the fixed clip is that it creates a much thinner clip. The clip has a hook on the bottom; once it snaps over a belt, it stays put. I've had to fish my other cases (with phones in them) from the seats of cars and chair cushions because the act of sitting-down pushed the case up and off my belt when carried on the small of my back; no issue here.
Closure: Hook-and-loop (Velcro). Either you love Velcro, or you hate it. The folks I know who carry gear on their belts (military, police, rescue workers, corrections officers, etc.) swear by Velcro. I can live with it, it's just a little loud sometimes. It's probably not as loud as my annoying ringtone, so most people never hear the holster opening.
Cost: $13.49 (US), and free Super-Saver shipping.
Gripes: Not really any major gripes. One (minor) gripe would be the lack of a cutout on the bottom of the case so the wearer can push the phone up when pulling the phone from the case. The case is designed to protect the phone, so I can't blame the manufacturer. With the elastic sides and flexible ballistic nylon construction, I can slide my fingers between the interior wall of the case and the phone and pull the phone out of the case easily enough, so it's not really an issue.
Final thoughts: Nite Ize has a good reputation for making tough gear. Read reviews for any of their products; customers love the build quality and durability. It's one of the few options for carrying a hybrid-cased Nexus 5.
I prefer to carry my phone in a belt clip. The only one that I could find that I could stand for the MotoX was the one that comes with the Otterbox Defender case. To use the clip you have to use the case, which I really dislike (too bulky).
I was browsing in my local Office Depot and saw this belt clip. It is not designed for the MotoX obviously, but it is a very snug fit for the MotoX in the Snap Case (by InCase). It is an even tighter fit for the MotoX in the Reveal Case (by Griffin) and the clip presses on the phone buttons (power and volume).
I prefer the Reveal Case so I notched the belt clip to keep it from pressing the phone buttons and provide access to them.I put some heat on the clip and reduced the overall pressure on the phone.
The cut out is pretty rough, but I will clean it up now that I know it works.
I'm pretty happy with this set-up because I have a solid belt clip that works with my preferred case. YMMV :fingers-crossed:

Update: I've been using this belt clip for nearly two months now and it is still working great. I wear it doing yard work while listening to wired ear buds. It stays secure. My Moto has never come out of the clip accidentally.
Great.
