"To use Softcard, you need a new SIM card" - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get prompted from the Note 4 about needing a new SIM card when trying to set up Softcard. Is this a ruse to get me out of unlimited data?

No, you need ISIS enabled SIM card with a secure element.

[Q] Tap to pay / softcard

Has anyone been able to use NFC for tap to pay? I'm on t-mobile. I installed Softcard but on opening the app it says I need a different SIM. I got a new SIM at a t-mobile store and was assured by tech support by phone that all nano SIMs are Advanced SIMs and support Softcard. But I still get the same message with the new SIM. Anyone gotten this to work?

Locked SIM card

Hello guys!
I have a phablet Cube WP 10 with a locked SIM card (No service status). I already installed InteropTools_2.0.95.0 and searched in the registry of OS using the Interop Registry browser, but couldn't find any parameter related with a the SIM card and its status.
What should I do to unlock the SIM? May be there is another trick without using the registry?
Attention! Added information: The SIM card works with another phone and this phone sees it, but can't use the cell network - "No service" when calling...
Which carrier is the sim card from? What do you mean sim card lock? SIM card has a pin enabled?
Try putting the sime card into another phone yet?
You won't unlock locked phone to use SIM from another carrier by modifying registry. There is no such a thing.

No service

If you purchased your cube for a specific operator, you must call this operator to have the unlock code.

I thought the Cube WP was an unlocked device.
If the SIM sees no network that means the sim is not compatible. I am not sure what the problem is exactly.
I've changed current SIM card to the SIM card of another cell-operator, but nothing has changed. And what is important to mention, I can't find any cell-network of my region using the network search. May be it's some kind of lock?

maybe, simply the phablet has a hardware issue - most probably antenna has been disconnected from the motherboard
I have sim cards that if they are deactivated will get no service when inserted into a valid phone they can work on. Are you using an active sim? If so maybe look at this link as there are some service codes to try maybe...but make sure to read any warnings. Not sure if any of them work either.

Both these sim cards are active because they works with other phones.
Thanks for this link, but these codes destined for Android OS and don't work on WM10 except first one.
Wad worth a shot anyway.

Secondary SIM Mobile data

Currently I am not able to find the option to use the mobile data for secondary SIM as well.
As I checked the options, we are only able to use the Mobile data of primary SIM which is a bit irritating because I was able to do it on my 2 year old one Plus 3T.
Does anybody know the option by which I can use the Mobile data of secondary SIM card without swapping the SIM cards manually?

Go to network setting and then sim cards and then data sim.
Select whichever sim you want
Thanks man. Found it.

NFC SIM card working for anyone?

I have the Mate 20 X (5G), EMUI 10.1.
Google Pay and other payments apps worked fine, but when I inserted a NFC SIM, the transport card that uses the NFC SIM worked, but other payment apps didn't work anymore. The card terminal doesn't recognize the card. When I remove the SIM, it works again. This happens no matter what I choose for the Default App in NFC settings, either Google Pay or another payment app etc.
I also did a factory reset on my phone and afterwards only installed a payment app. Contactless payments still didn't work when the NFC SIM card was inside. Somehow just putting in the SIM overrides the NFC from contactless payment apps.
Does an NFC SIM card work for anyone such that it allows you to use Google Pay or other payment apps at the same time?

Question SIM card manger, make internet from different SIM

Hi, I'm using Galaxy s21fe running the latest one UI available, and for some reason I cannot set a SIM card for data connection and the other for calls, there's just a Primary SIM, which do both with no choice to make a SIM for just one use, it's data and call for one SIM only, how can this be fixed?
You can select the use of the SIM card in the settings in the SIM card manager, only when you turn on data transmission in the phone and both SIM cards are active.

Sorry, i don't understand what you mean
This is the way Samsung phones work - you can't set one for data and one for calls like you can on the Pixel or iPhone.
