New security update? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone get this crap? I just switched from black to white note 4 and this is what I get. I remember on the black note 4 I had 15 tries and this messag never popped up? I hope its not the security update that I was getting when I still had the black note 4 which I declined of course I hope this didn't come with it installed already...

It's not the security update, it's the fingerprint scanner. If you disable that as your lockscreen security you won't get that message anymore

I understand but a week ago my black note 4 didn't have this...

Mine displays the same message with the pattern lock. I do not use the fingerprint scanner for unlocking.

Anyone care to share how I would be able to remove those navbars at the bottom and just use the slider? I want the lock screen as simple as possible. Thanks.

I just emailed the developer about this yesterday and he said it was a planned feature in a coming update for rooted devices.

Dope stuff. I think I'll write him an email also. It would be nice to hide em. Plus a couple of instances I have been able to bypass by quickly tapping misc nav buttons... Thanks.

Hello,
I need help with the device administrator's. I have set up my office email to my galaxy nexus. After doing so it has disabled the screen lock pattern, face lock and other lock options . I have only the password and pin lock options available now. Does anyone knows how to get back those options without deleting the email setup ?
Its really annoying to use the password unlock . I like the slide to unlock of jellybean.

[Q] Android update?

Checked for software update today and there was a 174mb update. Downloaded and installed, said it was updating Android. Cannot see any difference apart from a message saying I can now use LTE. Android stil showing 4.1.2. I am on a contract phone with 3 UK.
Any ideas? I was expecting it to be the new androide version.
Same here. Seem to be getting a few fc since. Thought 4.3 would of been here by now

My Note 2 to you

Note 2 not waking

I understand that this could be a number of things but am wondering what causes long delay in waking (screen on) when button is pressed. Never had a lag like this before...no new apps. Greenify is installed but no system items are hibernating...

How do I stop these annoying pop ups?

I get both of these pop ups constantly. The small pop up window usually 7 or 8 times when updating apps.
And the big one every couple of days.
I don't want or need Google looking at my phone for security threats.
So I always decline to pop ups. How do I stop them for good?
