Is there a possibility to run native Linux (for example Debian) on rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4? It comes with bluetooth keyboard so it's ideal for Linux.
Only with VNC.
You can run Linux with vnc or via the frame buffer but you can't boot directly into Linux sadly.

If you have an android phone check this app
I don't have an android phone, so i couldn't test it,but is should work.
I am a long time Apple user and have always jailbroken my phones and tablets. But I have made the switch to android and would like to use my Note 10.1 to remote play my PS4.

This thread makes it seem possible to do it but I am new to rooting and it seems like there are many difference processes depending on which device you have. So I am have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition wifi only 32gb and is running Android 4.4.2.
I tried rooting with odin following this video. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cMT61ZSASY ) but it didn't work because my OS is newer then 4.2. So what are the steps I need to take to get remote play to work on this device?
Hi
I wonder if it's possible to use my old Galaxy Nexus as Android TV box? Is there a ROM for that, or something?
I want to install a game that requires Android TV (You don't know Jack), so a Chromecast-mod is not enough.
Thank you for any help!

Sorry about the title. Not sure how to edit it. What I'm looking to do is control my tab S from another device using builtin bluetooth, or a dongle. I'd like to use a laptop or similar to control my Tab S using the keyboard and mouse. Googling around, from linux I found the hidclient application which looks like it will work, and on the mac 1keyboard is a commerical software to do this. Just wondering if anybody else can share experience or recommendations.
I have a Note 8 and would really like to use the Dex features of it and / or of the Note 10+. I was wondering if anyone has been able to make a remote desktop client work inside of the Dex environment or applications like DeskDock
Microsofts RDP works flawless
I'd love to use DeskDock along with dex, but until they have it work over a local network, rather than USB, it doesn't seem to be feasible.
