If so how come I can't play 4k videos on my galaxy tab s 8.4 yeah sure Samsung it's truly 4k
Tthe tab s screen only has 2k.
Is there a volume booster for it by chance
Yes but I think it has to do something with changing a file to something to make it louder which I wouldnt suggest. I just use the normal equalizer in the music app.

Any1 here had any success playing 4k vids on the exynos variant? If so pls link the video u played.
My note cant handle 4k mp4's recorded with note 3 w/o significant stutter/very low fps and sound cutting off, tried BSS, Vplayer, MX and Archos (with codecs, and both H/W & S/W decoding if available, closing all background apps, etc).
I'll try converting 4k vids to 1600p, if possible, with Vegas 12 later today..
We have an amazing display with a decent SoC, i'd really like to see what its capable of at maximum resolution, 1080p just doesnt cut it.
I tried 4K video on youtube (via flash player inside Firefox) on Note 10.1 2014.
Result: Crash.
1080p plays fine using the exact same pathway.
Youtube app will not even enable selecting the original 4K video version inside youtube.
i thought they posted a while back that the exynos5 note 3 couldn't playback the superhd videos it took so it shouldn't be a surprize that this one won't either. kinda odd that they can't though.
The Exynos 2014 Note 10.1 can play back 2 Full-HD streams simultaneously without any hickup. 4K playback might be a bit too much.
Coming from a galaxy S3 and S4 with the same MHL cable, i've noticed the odd native screen res on this tablet messes with output on my HDTV giving large black bars on left and right of the screen.
is there any custom rom, kernel, or app i can install to fix this? i bought this for a media player, so fixing this is a big deal.
thanks for the help.
Hello all,
I've noticed that using the Chrome browser on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, when I try to play an embedded YouTube video, it will play just fine, both audio and video. However, when I click the button to maximize it and go full screen, the playback stutters and does not display an image/video playback; it just goes black (occasionally, even plays the audio, but no accompanying video). When I click the back button, wanting to give it another try, the embedded video says "video playback is not available at this time" or something like that. I refresh the page, and play the game again/try again...same results.
I tested if it was screen orientation. Interestingly enough, the videos that would not play in landscape (which is the "default" orientation) would play in portrait, but would have some crazy, intermittent vertical lines reminiscent of a scrambled/jumbled picture. It's awful.
I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue and may have any helpful advice?
Thanks in advance,
senate

Having the same problem, anyone else experiencing this and knows how to make the problem go away? On youtube there is also a vid showing the problem, can't post it but you can find it under this title: Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 sm-t520 video problem
I keep getting that kind of issue when I have Xposed installed. Try uninstalling xposed to see if that clears up the issue.

Dont have xposed installed, don't know what kind of program that is? The problem doesn't occur all the time. Btw the pro 10.1 has more bugs and random crashes, wish sammy would release a firmware update...
Samsung galaxy Tab pro 8", 10.1" or 12.2" video flickering problem [SOLVED]
To fix flickering in video:
Enable developer options in settings (go to about device and tap Build Number 7+ times).
In developer options, under hardware-accelerated rendering, check "turn off hardware overlays". You can also check "force GPU rendering", but I've found the former is all that's necessary.
Hi!
Need help please, anyone here are experiencing black screens on Tab Pro 8.4 when is playing movies? Sometimes my Tab Pro goes black (screen is not off but all black and I listen the sound) when I see movies on samsung video App or on Facebook App. Could it be codecs problem or an hardware problem?
Thanks in advance!

i would check if "Power saving mode" is disabled and all the "Smart Screen" Samsung crap as well.
probably won't help but you never know
of course MX Player is always there for you to download and compare results, quality and ease of use

Mine does it too. I returned my 1st tab because it was so bad while watching movies, and if i used multi-window with a video playing in one window. The 2nd tab i got still does it, but not as often. It could be because I've updated firmware on this new tab to the newest available. It hasn't happened in a while (about 2-3 weeks), so hopefully it's fixed. Only way to get the screen back is to hit the power button off and back on. Try updating to the latest firmware and see if that helps. NG1 is the most resent.
I had the same issue with black screen with sound as well while using MX player. I switched to BSplayer free which works perfectly.

It was a 1280 x 720 mp4 that was not rendering a picture if that helps. I have nothing to do with BSPlayer but it was capable of playing the video.
I recently replaced my Samsung 10.1 tablet with the 12.2 Pro Edition. I was disappointed to find that the default Samsung Video Player plays far fewer video formats. I know that there are many applications that support the wide array of video formats, but I truly enjoy the video preview window interface that the Samsung player provides.
Q: IS THEORY ANY WAY OF LOADING THE 10.1 SAMSUNG VIDEO PLAYER ON A 12.2 SAMSUNG NOTE PRO?
(Spec. Verizon LTE)
Any assistance that a novice like myself can comprehend is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
