[Q] Stuck on ODIN - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

SM-T700 brand new, put it into download mode to root. Didn't actually install anything, just read PIT from heimdall. heimdall couldn't read pit so went to windows pc to run odin, tablet stuck at ODIN.
Tried power for 45 seconds
Tried power-vol up 45 seconds
Tried power-vol up-home 45 seconds
On my phone I would have just yanked the battery, but uh oh...any ideas?

sigh, now I am feeling pretty stupid I tried
power-vol down-home for about 15 seconds and it reset odin
Hope this will help someone else!
Peter

It's Power + Home + Volume DOWN, dude.
BTW, Power + Home + Volume UP goes to custom recovery, if you have one installed.

Help bootlogo trap nothing works

OKAY so i enjoyed flashing around and suddenly i got soft bricked. I cant for the life of me get paassed the "samsung galaxy s3 bootlogo.
Ive tried
1)fLAshing with Odin
2)goiing into recovery mode to wipe my phone factory reset.
Is there anything else i can do? please help i love this phone lol
Make sure you were actually in download mode when you flash with Odin. (power + volume down + home key. Then press volume up when it prompts you to go into download mode) otherwise, have you tried flashing a different custom rom? It might just be a bad kernel.

ya ive done this. i actually got through the boot (the red pirate android mascot) and thought it was over but when it rebooted it just got stuck on the boot logo again /:
I had the same problem I can tell you my self that first MAKE SURE your doing the right steps to get back into download mode (btw if you can get back into download you can fix this with odin) don't bother trying to get into recovery soft brick is a soft brick... also it took me like 100 trys when mine bricked to get into download because I didn't follow directions.
here
for odin and download mode
(eg: for Odin)
Unplug the USB cable.
Shut down the phone.
Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME DOWN' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears. Press the 'VOLUME UP' button to enter Download Mode.
To get out of Download Mode, simply press and hold the power button until the phone restarts
for recovery mode
Unplug the USB cable.
Shut down the phone.
Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds to enter Recovery Mode.

So dude, make sure you're using the right ROM for the right model. since you didn't provide any of that info in the OP you may not get much help from here.

Stuck in Download/Odin mode

Hello,
I'm trying to help my sister, she installed video editing app and after a few hours the phone restarted in downloading/Odin mode and can't get out of it. I tired battery pull, holding the power button and it just keep coming back to the same mode. I downloaded Odin and download the stock ROM but when I try to use odin it ask me for the .pit file.
Can anyone point me to the correct files?
thanks in advance!
If I try to hold vol up + home + pwr I get kernel panic mode. =/

Bootloop/ wont connect to Kies

Ok so, Galaxy note 2 Gt-n700.
One day randomly turns off (not rooted/flashed). Go to turn the device back on and it gets stuck in a boot loop on the first screen, keep rebooting till it ran out of battery.
tried to go into recovery mode Vol up +middle +power. Nothing.
Then tried the other one.. Vol down + middle + power
hit continue at the firmware install and get RPMB: INVALID RPMD Data
Now googling this comes across alot of advice for PIT files and ODIN. when i tried to "install" this it comes up with an error that i cannot remember at the moment on ODIN basically saying cant its broke.
I have now got the phone saying that there is a firmware update and to connect to KIES and do emergency recovery. The damn phone will not connect to KIES and i have reinstalled KIES and all the drivers 500 times. Tried all usb ports.
Now im about 5 minutes from throwing this phone off a wall.
Can anyone help.
Much helps needed.
What ROM did you use before that happened?
If you not on 4.3 bootloader, try to flash oldest stock, one file, firmware through odin.

Is your phone still going in bootloops?Try to enter download mode by pressing volume down+home button without pressing power and see if still goes into download mode.If it does then your power button is faulty. Two scenarios to that either power button is stuck on "pressed" mode which you can resolve by taking out the cover and screws and pushing out the power button (look up youtube video) or worse the power button needs to be replaced totally. If power button is working fine try what the above user stated flash the previous working stock version or flash the latest 4.4.2 stock ROM and see if it bootloop is resolved.
im having the same problem how did you fixed it ??

Stuck in download mode?!

So i used odin to flash TWRP on my device but forgot to tick auto reset.. So it flashed perfectly but i can't get it out of download mode, tried pressing and holding every button, tried to reconnect to odin and flash again but nothing helps.. forgot i cant pull out the battery, so any of you have some other ideas?? or just let the bloódy thing die on battery and charge and get in recovery?
okey power down on volume down for 30 sec did the trick.. few just had a full battery.. would have last for two days

Someone please help w/ device stucked in Download (odin) / bootloop

The problem started in monday, I woke up and the phone was in this blue/green screen, in the screen it said that I needed to hold Power Button + Vol. Down for 7 seconds to reboot (which I did several times) and then it went again to the same screen. I browse the internet a little and found that I needed to do a factory reset, so I went to the bios by pressing Vol. Up + Power Button + Bixby Button, navigate to where it says "wipe/factory reset" - i went in there but it dont change anything and I keep stucked in the blue/green screen after reboot. After I browse a little bit more and found out that sometimes the firmware is corrupted and need to flash a stock rom again to work - so I went through some tutorials, learned how to do it, downloaded the correct most recent firmware from Sammobile (G960U1UES8ETI1), Downloaded the Odin (3.13 and 3.14) and flashed the 4 archives, odin says it passed (took 4~5 minutes). But now I'm stucked in something that looks like an ethernal bootloop in that screen showing Samsung logo. I've already tried to flash again with other version of odin. Don't have a clue of what to do now.
Sorry for the text
Please help me, all help wold be much aprecciated.
