Yesterday I deleted the stock SMS app and when i install any other sms app it doesn't work, show a message (the application stop working)

How? Explain pls.
I allready tried it the copy/paste way with setting permissions, it ended up by having NO SMS App.
Explain how to port it, and ill do it on my own.
You could try installing the app like any other app so it replaces the one in the system
Bear in mind that a lot of stock apps and functions aren't available on custom roms
I installed 4.1.1. Messaging App on the play store and it's for free, works like a charm and is now my main messaging app.

My work is just a DISCOVERY,, i didnt invent anything or i didnt write anycode for this camera app
i just tried the below steps accendently and it worked fine
1) install titanium backup
2) search for gallery app
3) and convert it to user app
4) delete the gallery app
5) install the gallery app from below link
6) now there are 2 camera apps.. check out the newly installed one
tested in temasek v27 rom and probam v1.22
GALLERY APP
credits:i dont know where i got the gallery app
the above GALLERY APP can also be installed in TOUCHWIZ roms like a user app

I rooted my note 2 to get some tweaks going but instead i ended up losing my default messaging app. What happened was that i tried to install cyanogen-mod messaging app which didn't work so i decided to uninstall it , when i did that it somehow took my default messaging app with it which i do not understand at all. My question is if there is a way i could get it back ? Google didn't help much.

I have a stock 4.3 rom but rooted with some issues not sure if they are related, but messaging app got removed once i tried to install cyanogen mod messaging app like i said earlier

yes i have hangout but things like schedule text messaging were handy , im using an app from playe store called 4.4 kitkat stock app which doesnt offer schedule messaging like the stock one did

Try my copy. I overwrite all my ROM's stock messaging app with this one, always works for me.

As you probably know, put in system/app with correct permissoins, install by clicking it through your root-enabled file manager.

The part where you said as you probably know is not quite true coz I installed the cyanogen mod messaging app through cyanogen mod install manager which is available at play store.The whole thing was a misunderstanding coz the messaging app doesnt really work on stock roms which I found out after the mess up. If you could write me the step by step to follow that'd be wonderful. Thnx for the reply pal

Appreciate the help but when i was trying to paste the other messaging apk file into the system/app folder it found the original messaging app there which i never thought to check , i know silly me.

By the way i could not change permissions on your apk for some reason i tried root explorer, fx explorer, xe explorer, root browser all failed because the file wouldnt let me ,any ideas ?
Hello, since when i've updated my 855 to version v10j, my messaging app FC no matther what DPI i choose. I've tried to delete cash, app data, i've tested the messaging app modded in "Themes and Apps" section, but nothing works.
Do anyone have a solution?

Unable to install any of the app, receive error "parse error - there was a problem while parsing the package" I think this apps are unsupported.....

I was also trying to use the apps - besides the messenger app (note its not hangouts! - its the new sms application). the other apps don`t work for me. The installer complains that another application is already installed.

To uninstall system apps, you must use a root file explorer, delete the apk file in /system/apps, reboot and uninstall through settings the apps.
also some of these apps require you to be using ART instead of dalvik or the app will crash

Sorry, I'm french ^^' After you remove the apk in /system/app, you need to uninstall the application via the settings apps.

Anyone have the update for fitness? Worked last night today it tells me there is an update but play store cannot find.
The google fit used tocwork perfectly but now it shows i need to updste from play atore and in play store it shows that item is not found. Please update the app if you can. Thanks a ton

Also please note that the SMS app does not support dual sim, fellow XT1033 users!

Same position, yesterday evening it's suddenly asking for an update but the store doesnt seem to have it or want to give me access to it.
Can some kind soul help me with this updated app? It would be greatly appreciated.
