Ordered the exact pack a few days ago. Never used a screen protector let alone a glass tempered one. We´ll see how it goes. Reviews are good.

The Tempered feels allot better than a screen protector. I love mine allot. I have 2 OPO each with a tempered one with this case and one from www.oppomart.com for my 9 year old..

I've got the same Diztronic/Nilkin combo and absolutely love it. Great peace of mind with a lot of protection while not adding any real bulk to the phone. Highly recommend it!

I've never been a fan of screen protectors but after scratching my Nexus 5 screen almost immediately after pulling it out of the packaging and letting that scratch annoy me for almost a year, I decided I wasn't going to take the chance again. I decided to give the tempered glass protector a shot and I'm really glad I did. Installation is SIGNIFICANTLY easier than with standard protectors. Lining it up and applying it couldn't be any easier.
The only difficult part is ensuring that every single little piece of lint/dust is removed from the screen before applying. The best way to do this is to turn the shower on in your bathroom at 100% hot and shut the door. Then leave it for about 5-10 minutes and come back. You've essentially turned your bathroom into a make-shift steam room in which any dust/lint particles in the air will have all sunken to the ground. This will ensure that once you get the screen clean it will stay that way. Then you just line up the protector and install it. Once it's done, shut the shower off, open the door, and give yourself a high five for a perfectly executed installation. :highfive:
snOwarmy, BTW I like your nick.
Regarding the steam bath. I´m a bit more conservative then to leave my shower running at 100 % for 5-10 minutes. I´m sure you were just joking
I don´t mind having a scratch or a dent on my phone. Sort of like with scars, you always have a story to tell
I already have a dent on the bezel of my OPO and I had one of them flip (bookstyle) covers on it. Scratches and dents gives things a bit of caracter. All I want from a phone is that it will last 2 years without feeling like a dinosaur.

On another note, I ordered my OPO on thursday and it's still Processing... so maybe they're waiting for each other... :highfive:

My phone just got here, but I wasn't home and DHL is keeping it until tomorrow.. can't wait!
Lets hope we get our cases soon!!!
Diztronic Full Matte Black TPU case and Orzly Tempered Glass Protector
Received both. I must say I´m impressed. Screen protector is wonderful, can´t even tell it´s there and much more smudge proof. The case is very smooth and silky like. I miss the sandpaper feel and the better grip without the case though. Aside from that, I recommend the combination.
Sad its not available on international :/

i bought the one from verizon. its 3 pack glossy screen protector.
I'd like to find a screen protector that tones down the gloss a little bit.
Is the pack from Verizon like the Droid version (the Verizon branded ones)? Those were about $10 cheaper than the ones at Best Buy, and work a lot better, too.
The ones that Verizon carries are typically the plastic stuff for anti-glare/gloss. Best Buy only carries invisible shields
Anybody recommend one that gives a nice matte finish?

Anyone tried a ZAGG invisibleshield or their competitor Skinomi TechSkin? They are both that propeller rubber. I think I am going to order a skinomi because this screen is bull****. It attracts way too many fingerprings and just lookss disgusting when the screen is off. I wash my hand regularly and it makes me feel dirty
The reason I'm choosing skinomi is that I had a zagg on my HTC EVO, and like many people I tossed it in the bin after a week when the tackiness became intolerable.

Agreed. I had the same issue on my phone and got the Invisible Shield and that made a huge difference. Ordered the same for my Xoom, full body, which I hope will have the same results.
I've also ordered a zagg invisible shield, but just the screen protector. I've had good experiences with the Invisible Shield on my devices (G1, N1, N2, iPad) and expect the product to work well on the Xoom, too.
I do still keep a microfiber cloth around to wipe off the scrud that does inevitably accumulate.
This might be a matter of taste but Zagg skins makes the screen look horrible. Its got like an orange tint to it. I only use the full body skin with some other superclear screen protector. Also invisheild gots like little groves, its not 100% flat.
I got it on my Nexus S and its looks like crap.
Coupon codes...
Hey.
If you're planning on getting a ZAGG shield, you can use the promo code 'ZAGG20' to get 20% off. Working as of 20 minutes ago. The full-body is originally $39.99, but comes down to $31.99 with the code; plus free shipping until late March!
If you're looking to get the Skinomi spin-off, use promo code 'get25' to receive 25% off. The full-body is only $24.99, and with the code it comes down to $18.71! I just ordered one myself. This will be my first Skinomi. I've always went with ZAGG, and have no complaints. But 40 bucks is too much for my taste. Hopefully, the Skinomi works just as well. Same material anyway...

Anyone have experience with the Skinomi skins? I've been a big fan of bestskinsever but they don't have one out for the Xoom yet. Much prefer theirs over Zagg. Might consider trying the Skinomi, can anyone recommend them?
I got the Skinomi skin on my incredible and I couldn't believe it. I'll never use those cheap verizon ones again. If it gets scratched it "heals" itself somehow. If you dig your fingernail in it you can feel it give almost like a hard rubber. But when you slide your fingers across the screen it's smooth. I just ordered one for my xoom.
The installation was scary at first because it's a very wet process. You have to get the screen, your fingers, and the protector wet and then wait for it to dry for a few hours. I was scared at first but my incredible doesn't have a scratch and I've had it for 9 months now. I didn't hesitate dropping the $15 to get the xoom protection. No yellowing, it sticks well, and has a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the info on the Skinomi. Think I'll give it a shot...just need to decide whether I want just the screen protector or go with the full body or carbon fiber options. Typically I just get a screen protector...but the back of the Xoom seems like pretty scratch-able.
Hi All,
Has anyone brought a zagg invisible shield yet?
Had them in the past for my htc desire and i liked them, gave proper projection from scratches etc..!
Also if you have got one, how are the captive buttons with the screen protector on??

I had the full body protection on my iPhone 3GS for 2 years and when I sold it it still looked like it just come out of the box New.
Zagg did send me replacements twice where the back/sides come loose. no questions ask but I did have to pay shipping for each replacement.
I have switched to Xtreme Guard Screen Protectors sense them and love the protection they give on the back of my phones and tablets and all at 1/3 the cost of Zagg. their 60% off right now and have the HTC One in stock >> xtremeguard.xxx/HTC-One-Screen-Protectors-p/htc-one-screen-protector.htm#.UWSbiMpPF9s

just looked at the Ghost Armor website ...they post the same instructions for install as the Xtreme Guard Screen Protectors.
Zagg includes their own Soapy water solution in a spray bottle, and a really nice rubber squidgy.
Truth be known I'd bet their all 3 the same material, just different grades of it.
The ZAGG HD is nice but it still has some orange peel look. The Ghost Armor was smooth but I didn't have the phone long enough to test for durability.
Have you ever used Skinomi?

No, I read comments from others that have and most say they are the softest feeling of them all. The Steinheil [Ultra Crystal] From Spigen SGP is the only other Screen protector with mostly positive reviews.
Here's their front and back protection solution >> http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-Pr..._16?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1365908512&sr=1-16
Does the ZAGG cover the sides as well or just the back and front?
Just back and front. Not side.
This is mine in pics.
I want to buy a tempered glass screen for N5 within a week or two. But I can't decide between :
1)Mime Ghost Glass or Feather Glass
2)Glass-M tempered glass
3)Nillkin tempered glass
4)SPIGEN GLAS
Currently, I am slightly inclined towards Mime(read good reviews). I heard that SPIGEN GLAS has some issues and the fix can take a while. I guess that is out of my option. My Requirements are : a) the touch should work fine b) no bubbles c)should work fine with a case.
Can you please suggest me which one to buy?
Thanks in advance,

I just received my Nillkin protector. I'm hoping to install it tonight so I will try to post some pictures for you. My first impressions are that the packaging is great and the camera protector (not glass) seems great. The kit for installation is pretty good too. Can't wait to install it.
If it turns out to be rubbish I'll plump for a MIME one. Everyone speaks very highly of them.

I had the (defective) Spigen GLAS.tr, and am still waiting for that replacement.
Applied the MIME Ghost last night and I can say that it's one of the best glass protectors I've ever used in terms of feel, rounded edges, adhesion (even after a couple of pull-offs and re-applications, to get rid of specks with scotch tape), and so forth.
Put it this way - I have a replacement Spigen on the way at some point, as well as a pair of the Nillkin units - but I just finished ordering another MIME Ghost in case something happens to this one.
Think about orzly glass screen protector, put mine about a week ago flawlessly, no bubbles, very good touch and feeling response, cut out are perfect
And is laminated glass, a thin plastic sheet coupled with glass, same as car windscreen, don't know if other are laminated or tempered glass

I bought the Nillkin tempered glass screen protector. First time ever using tempered glass and I will never go back to anything else. It simply blows me away and looks great. It genuinely looks like I'm going naked screen wise. No air bubbles, comes with instructions and all the necessities. Overall I highly recommend. :good:

I've had my Nillkin fitted for the past 24hours or so, I'm very happy with it. Excellent quality, fitted up perfectly, looks/feels great and it was a good price.
I loved the MIME Ghost glass and Feather glass on the HTC One and will be looking to get one of them soon for the N5. My Spigen GLAS.tR totally carcked it so got a refund for that. Never tried the Nillkin. Has anyone actually tested the theory of the Nillkin being "anti-explosion"? LOL.
Anyone tested these with polarized sunglasses? Specifically the Mime or Nillikin

Can anyone with any of these glass screen protectors comment on wether there is or would be any affect of the cutouts being over the camera and sensor versus only a cutout for the earpiece.
Also Can anyone report whether any of these glass screen protectors resist fingerprints well or not?

Yes I do. I have the spigen hybrid case. Overall I'm smitten with the look and feel of tempered glass. The case is a fingerprint magnet unfortunately. Best of luck with everyone who ordered tempered glass. Its well worth it IMO.
Does anyone have any photos of MIME, Nilkin, Glass-M? (I have Spigen GLAS.tr which has a lifted corner)
But I heard that Spigen GLAS nano's are coming out soon.
Is anyone as annoyed as me with Spigel's absolutely ridiculous line of product and naming choices? No clarity between feature, functionality, what's what, etc. Add in the Amazon factor and it's pure chaos. They might have the best cases, but they need some serious help in business management. If I ran their company, I'd have addressed this immediately.
Anecdotally, I'm nowhere near the first confused person. Someone much smarter than I (which, really, is most people) found their offerings wildly confusing and simply ordered one of everything before deciding to return all but the one which suited him best. I did the same given their complete inanity.
--Dan
I got the defective Spigen glass and just received nillkin tempered glass and installed it about an hour ago.
It seems good overall and unlike Spigen glass, it has a cut out for the proximity sensor.
there are small bubbles with nillkin protector and I am hoping it would disappear by tomorrow.
I've always loved spigen's protectors, but this time it was a big NO NO.
I mentioned this on another thread but my Orzly after 5days of use was scratched quite a bit. I've no idea how as it only sat in my pocket.
I have a Nilikin on order but I'm currently using a £5 'helicopter blade coating' protector I got on eBay and it's great, no Orange peel and you really couldn't tell it's there. Still like the glass protectors though so I'll go with the Nilikin when it arrives.

Mime ghost glass is out of stock. I have sent them an email. If it won't be available within a week, I am buying nillkin. Or as someone suggested, I may buy both.
I am trying to decide between what screen protector should i buy. As my budget is very limited, i have to take this matter very seriously. I brought a pack of 5 screen protectors a while ago for my nexus 5, for just 2.50 euros.
They did their job well, clarity of them was not the best but usable, they protected the screen from scratches, though installation of them on my screen was pain in the ass. I used only 2 from the pack of 5 because the other 3 were wasted in the installation process. Huge bubbles underneath that were impossible to push out afterwards, thus making the screen unusable.
Next time i sent the same pack again for the same price, but the seller sent me completely different screen protectors, that were impossible to see through and had no glue at all how to stick them on screen. Basically ripoff. Still have them, if someone wants a pic just ask.
So now i am using a screen protector that came with Spigen case for more than month, might be even 2 months, and the screen protector is just littered with scratches, so i need a replacement fast. As i don't want to get ripped off by another cheating seller, i decided to buy one or two glass protectors. I found this one LINK
Is that one good for a glass protector?
As far as i looked, the plastic screen protector price ranges from less than 1 euro to 5 or so euros. But glass protector price ranges from 5 euros to even up to 50 euros. So should i buy expensive plastic or cheap glass?
Also, is installation more reliable for glass protectors? I don't want to wait for 3 weeks for one screen protector, and in the end have to struggle with installation, possibly wasting the money and time.
And if anybody knows, will eBay ship faster from England to Eastern Europe, than from China to Eastern Europe?
This is what I have:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Orzly®-Temp...328881&sr=1-3&keywords=nexus+5+tempered+glass
I bought one when it first came out, it went on very easily with no bubbles and still looks as new. I'll never use a plastic screen protector again.
Hope this helps.

I will most likely post how it went and everything about it as soon as it comes.
If you want you can keep discussing screen protectors here.
I just canceled the purchase because it for some reason needs some kind of soap solution for installation. I don't want to mess my phone with soap and water. I will look at the links you sent and i will most likely purchase one of those or both, until i get my money back i cant yet tell anything
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgytRrIDHEw not for nexus 5 but the same company and the same screen protector.

2-3 weeks to Belgium
I'm using the nillkin screen protector too!ordered from china 2 months ago, had to wait 1 month to have it!so far it's very good!
I've had the phone since the 20th April and we just surpassed the 1 month mark after official release. I have used a wet application plastic film screen protector since the first 5 minutes and now want to get the screen protected.
Has there been a viable full coverage screen protector released that doesn't cost stupid amounts?
Whitestone Dome, if you are willing to take the time to install correctly, is the best TGSP on the market. It's not even close.

$45 is not that much money. You spent $800 on the phone ><
I also recommend Whitestone Dome. The clarity and feeling is superb. Keep it mind you need to test the case carefully because once it lifts the screen, bubbles will appear (and that drives me crazy). The price tag is high but, seriously, it's well worth it. Cheaper than replacing the screen
I have insurance in my device that is about 65 USD (£50 GBP) hence my reluctance to spend on a screen protector when I could get a new device for little more, and then not able to keep the protector anyway
Whitestone Dome is junk.
I do not recommend Whitestone Dome after one week it was junk save your money.

are you sure the screen is not lifted by the case (if you're using one?)? cause mine has been going on well for a few weeks. everything is still cool.
Whitestone Dome is junk.
Yes I installed it right work for a week.
I installed the Whitestone dome glass over a week ago and it's still perfect, I have purchased a lot of screen protectors for curved glass and this is the only one that has been satisfactory

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one boss. I've had this thing for right at a month and no dust, lifting, bubbles or other issues at all. Sounds like you may have had a poor installation.

It sounds like he may not had enough adhesive, which I have read reviews where people's adhesive has leaked out during shipping or they didn't level the device and it didn't spread properly, mine is very secured and I have even pried on it lightly to see if it would lift
for one thing, before the installation, you can check the level of the surface using Bubble Level app to make sure when you drop the glue, it will stay in the center. Also notes that when lowering the glass, let it touch the liquid first and then quickly pull out the tab to reduce the possibility of it splashes (which makes bubbles later - i did this on my first installation and the liquid took a lot longer than it should to cover the whole thing).
Check out the zagg sapphire shield. It has adhesive all over instead of just the edges.
