I've seen this watch on arms (by itself), against some prettier watches (that I have no experience with) and against other smart watches and I've noticed a consistent theme:
1. I can't determine the size of the persons wrist based on the distance, angle, etc.
2. Most of the watches I've seen compared, I've either never seen in real life, or on my wrist (or both) and so I have no basis for comparison.
So here's my thread for real world examples of the watch. I challenge people to post their M360 against their old watch, a friend's wrist, your dog's leg, etc. Today was the first time I've seen one in person (I got lucky) and decided to make the plunge on the spot (my wife is gonna kill me).
Here's my example. I've been sporting this Timex Ironman Watch since probably 2009. I knew it was a large watch because it syncs with a HR sensor but once I got it on my wrist, I liked the bulk.

I live in Florida and today is a beautiful day.. Sunny with barley any clouds in the sky... I just took a nice 2 minute video out by my pool and I loaded it up on my computer and it looks "good"
NOT GREAT.. I have a fence in the backyard (metal chain link) and a big lake with many trees and green grass.. somethings don't look that great, the chain link fence looks pretty horrible and the grass doesn't look to be in focus..
Now the pictures are fine (i am going to post them here in a minute) its just the camera..
Im new to this Android stuff and was able to get my old Touch pro phone to take video pretty good.. Basically I was able to increase the quality of my older phone, can you do the same with this? are there programs out there or tweaks??
THANKS!!

It says iPhone, but there's to be a S3 version as well. Thought this was interesting, was using my DSLR to video my kid doing the Christmas play using a tripod (camera plus grip plus lens = heavy to hand hold for an hour and a half) and was wishing the S3 was more ergonomical as there's not a lot of space to hold it comfortably for long periods. This adds a grip and a tripod mount, which interests me more than the included controls. Managed to get an early £20 pledge in for the full kit (there's 35 left at time of posting if anyone else wants one) with free postage.
Will post a review once it arrives late Feb (assuming it raises enough)
Note: Not associated/related/etc to anyone in this kickstarter, just thought it was interesting as it solves a few issues I have with the S3.
Hey everyone,
We are two developers building a personal trainer AI for wearables. Over the past year we've built out an Android Wear app that automatically recognize a user's exercises, like bench presses and squats. We are launching the beta program for our app, YouMove, and are inviting members of the XDA Moto 360 community to join! We would love your comments and feedback on what we've done and what we should do next!
Sign up for the Beta!
We recently added the ability for the app to learn new user exercises, which we are really excited about!
Other features we are currently testing:
- Automatic, passive recognition of weight training, calisthenics and cardio exercises
- Tracking of exercises, reps, sets, resting times, calorie counts, and intensity
- Detailed display of a user's workout in a timeline on watch and phone
We know the XDA community can provide some great feedback on what we've made so far. Thanks everyone!

I just recently bought my active 2 and I love it. I got BP and ECG working (thanks to the community) and now I'm just working on making it my dream watch. But I've hit a roadblock.
Here's my problem: I LOVE the digital dashboard watchface, I just have a few minor problems that I want to fix. I want to add a date along with the day so It says 4/18, and change the color to blue to match my band. The problem is, well, doing it. I've tried looking into remaking the watch face but nothing I've found is capable of it. Facer and watchmaker don't seem to have the necessary features but maybe I missed them and the watch studio is so ****ty, it doesn't have half of the features that the apps have. I thought about possibly importing the watchface to the studio to edit it but I don't think I can get the watchface file.
If anyone has any solutions, I would be glad to hear any ideas OR if someone can make this dream watchface, I will pay you a "commission". Here is a picture of the watchface in question

Gee! This so-called adaptive brightness is quite a euphemism that annoys me always when I least expect it:
In bed! I like to read some wiki before dozing off or a story from the Gutenberg collection. However, pretty much every night this little piece of garbage code suddenly decides to turn on the headlights and to honk at me optically.

Very, very, very annoying! Worst of it all, it does not matter which phone, and I see that behavior even on Samsung with stock ROM, therefor I must concluded it is broken by design. Or is it just my halo triggering the sensors?
I vaguely remember that it wasn't like this, many years ago:
Why that simple table sensor X brightness was given up, I don't know. Alas, this "new" approach just does not work (at least not in my vicinity)...
Help! Can you suggest any workaround or alternative?
