[Q] Bricked Z1c won't turn on, unable to get in CWM - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
my problem is the following:
I recently got PAC-Rom on my Z1c and everything was okay. Today I wanted to flash C-Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769727) and the Gapps on it. I did everything as said in the installation (wiping everything etc...) but took the Gapps file I used for the PAC-Rom since I was a bit in a hurry and couldn't find Gapps that were "made for" the C-Rom.
However, now my phone won't turn on. When I push the power button, it vibrates for a second as it usually does but then, apparently crashes. The screen does not turn on and no LED is activated. When I connect it to my PC, the red charging LED lights up every few seconds (I guess, that the phone crashes everytime it tries to boot).
I can boot it into Flash- and Fastboot mode, but I don't exactly know what to do.
Can I somehow flash a Rom from my PC? Preferebly without losing my data on my phone?
I'm using my Laptop with EasyPeasy on it as my "flashing computer" since the laptop isn't as messed up as my main PC (Every time I try to fix something using the Win8PC, something goes wrong or there are some drivers missing )

Try that: http://www.flashtool.net/index.php

You should be fine as long as you can still boot to flashmode. Look at this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658952
You just gotta find the proper FTF file for your phone, since the ones provided in the guide are for Xperia SP. Then you have to flash the FTF file, and when that is succeded, you can move on with the custom rom. I believe the FTF file contains stock rom, so you will have to start over with custom kernel and custom rom after flashing FTF. I hope this helps, since im not an advanced user when it comes to flashing, this is my first Android phone which i bought only a couple of months ago

There is always a solution, unbrickable device, in addition to flashtool SEUS(Sony update service) will fix the phone.

Boot into Fastboot mode and flash another Kernel then open up it's recovery, if all else fails then kiss your hardbricked device goodbye.

Please help. R800x boots into a weird screen?

(Just expaining how i got to the screen...in a lot of detail) Okay so yesterday i unlocked my bootloader through sonys website and everything was fine. Then i decided to try to put CM9 on it from a tutorial i found, didnt work. I then flashed back to verizons 2.3.3 through flashtool and everything was fine...but then i decided i wanted to go back to ZeuscNXTLite rom, i was lazy and used the recoveryPLAY.img to go to CWM. I forgot to clear the cache, data, etc. and i thought it was in a hard-brick because i could hold the power button all it would do is vibrate and i could still put it into flash boot(or whatever the green light means) but the screen always stayed black. I left it on my charger all night hoping it would magically come back i guess...today i got home to find the green light on it flashing faintly and quickly. I decided maybe its working now if i flash the .ftf so i did. Nothing happened so i thought maybe it was the bootloader so i tried using a bootloader relocker .ftf file but that just made my computer inable to recognize my phone. It would flash red a few times now when i plugged it into flashboot then go to flash mode and i could use flashtool. I tried adding the 2.3.3 .ftf back to my phone but it failed halfway through. So about 4 mins after doing this i look at my phone and see the Sony Ericsson screen but after that screen i see a triangle with an exclamation point inside of it and a phone under it. It keeps booting to this screen then shutting off over and over again. Now my question...does anyone know how to fix this? I dont really think its still in a brick since it goes to this weird screen.
Sorry for the extensive explanation. Also sorry if this was a repeat i tried searching but honestly have no clue what to search or even call this.
If you can still use flashtool follow this great guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054512 so you can fastboot a kernal and get into cwm then you can flash a new rom after wiping everything. :fingers-crossed:
The yellow triangle means you're in download mode, but I don't know what to do since I never had it on the Play.
Flashing the ftf will fail sometimes, you can keep re trying, its finicky so you have to make sure to use a good cable, preferably on a USB port that is not 3.0, and have few other USB devices connected at the sametime as possible.
The reason why CM9 didn't work because sometimes the kernel included does not boot. The boot.img from the FXP152's CM9 rom is one of the working one, you can separately flash it using fastboot.
I flashed a bootloader lock ftf file so wouldnt installing a kernel brick my phone again? Also could flashing the stock ftf file again while my phone is in download mode brick my phone? I'm just being extra careful now...dont want a hard bricked phone.

Did flashing the bootloader lock ftf file work? you need to find out if your bootloader is locked or unlocked. If you have phone off, and hold on to search and you plug in USB to computer and get blue light your bootloader is unlocked (flashboot mode)If its unlocked just flash a kernel wipe and install a custom rom
If it is locked and you can use flashtool you can flash a stock ftf. Kernal is included in stock rom which you can find on forum
Ok i just put the stock ftf on it through flashtool. I tried to turn it on and it shows the Sony Ericsson screen and then the Android screen the turns off. Any help? It's at least showing the charging screen right now...
Also bootloader is locked. Just checked with the fastboot.exe

That good :good: Not bricked did you wipe data & cache in flashtool when you flashed ftf?
Yes i wiped cache, app log, and data. Im also using an older version of flashtool...maybe upgrading will help? Gonna check

why you never start a project when tired. Bootloader mess up *SOLVED*

What can you do when you install a custom ROM (PAC-man) onto a device with a LOCKED bootloader - I literally had just selected the wrong zip file from CWM right before bed. Super tired and not paying attention.. Device vibrates, led goes red briefly, then off. Is there something I can do to recover?
edit - update:
its now sitting plugged in via usb and flashing red.
SOLVED - was able to use flashtool and flashed it with the generic ftf file - all good it looks like
bed time. Irk
:good:
loaded flashtool - can get device in fastboot or flash mode - I'm guessing I can install Xperia_ZL_C6506_10.1.A.1.434_Customized_US_1270-7584_R8A - and get back to the beginning?
Yeah these phones are pretty hard to brick, Flashtool will fix just about every problem.

S4 Mini GT-i9195i crashes after recovery - (how to reinstall stock ROM)

Hi,
I have Galaxy S4 Mini VE GT-i9195i. The phone was a bit laggy, so I decided to factory reset. When I did it, the phone didn't booted. It was showing Odin download screen with red text "Could not do normal boot, odin mode" (or something like that). In thread [index] Galaxy S4 mini i9195i were some recoveries, so I used odin to recovery it. Now, when booting, it shows "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing, set warranty bit:kernel" and when it boots up, there is setup screen (the one which shows when you firt turn the phone on), but the phone is spamming with message boxes "<random process or app> stopped working", so I can't do anything(by fast taping OK, I manage to get through few screens, but when it come's Google account choose, the screen goes black).
I tried another recovery, but none of them worked.
In the forum, there is also link to stock ROM, I think wiping all the data and flashing the phone with stock ROM could help, but last time I did something like this was about 5 years ago with Xperia, and I couldn't find any guide how to do this, so could you guys please tell me what to do?
Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I think flashing the stock rom is the last best option. Anyways here r the steps:
1. Download Odin 3.1x.x version( its the program via which you can flash samsung stock roms, modems, recoveries and caches etc,...google it)
2.If possible, before doing anything to your phone, take a nandroid backup from recovery like TWRP or CWM)
3.Hold power+home+volume down button to boot into bootloader menu. Once booted, it will ask you to press volume up button to continue, do that.
4.Now connect your phone to your pc via data cable( kindly confirm that your pc usb ports are working properly otherwise the flashing will corrupt)
5. Open Odin. If connected properly, you will see the ID:COM tab turn blue mentioning the port name you connected. Now click AP on right hand side and search /select the location where your Stock rom(md5) file is located. Now on left side panel(logs) you will see something is going on. Wait for a few minitues and after processing is done (when you see the lines "leave cs...") Click start and relax.
6.It will take some time to flash the rom. If everything went well, there will be a "PASS" message on top left of Odin. The phone will boot into recovery and do some cleaning and reboot again.......................................................Congratulations!!
Note: I follow this method on GT-9192 and i think its same with your model.
I think the message "Kernel is not seandroid reinforcing" means incompatible recovery software for this device. Try different one.
The only working recovery for our phone is TWRP recovery. Flash the .img through flashify after rooting with Kingroot / Supersu me and you are done . Be sure to flash the stock rom through odin to fix any hiccups with app not responding and after proceed normally.

[SOLVED] Stuck at Sony logo on boot (stock rom, no mod, no root)

Hi there!
I don't know if anyone will read these lines, since it's already quite an old phone, but I'll give it a try anyway.
Short story: my wife dropped her phone and the digitizer got smashed. I removed it and before I got the new digitizer on, our kid had had the time to break the LCD. So I bought a new LCD + digitizer module and installed it. Then I started the phone and got stuck at the Sony boot logo.
I've tried the repair function of the Xperia companion. It apparently detects the phone and goes throught the whole procedure, then tell me the phone's software's been repaired, but when I start it, I'm stuck at the logo again.
Just in case you wonder:
- bootloader is locked
- USB debugging was not enabled
So is there anything I can try, or should I just head to the phone store and buy her a new one? She was happy with it and sees no reason to change it, so if there's a chance we might save it...
EDIT: I have also tried this now:
- download a stock ROM in ftf format
- installed flashtool
- flashed the ROM (no USB debugging or unlocked bootloader required)
- flash successful
But I'm still stuck at the Sony logo, only that now, instead of having "Sony" in the center of the screen and "Xperia" on the bottom, I only have "Sony" in the center. I was hoping for more change than that
Thanks!
Fa
Alright, I haven't received a lot of answers, so I'm just going to post as I go. Maybe I'll get the damn thing boot again and this will help someone in the future.
Now I have downloaded a custom ROM, a recovery (actually I have dld both CWM and TWRP) and I'd like to flash it BUT: in order to do that, the bootloader must be unlocked.
I used flashtool (the "blu" button), and it worked. So that's out of the way. Now it seems I should have USB debugging on, but surely there is a way to flash a ROM without it? Or am I screwed?
How do I flash a recovery for the first time? The files I downloaded are img.
Thanks!
And here we go again
So I found from the list of Nougat ROMs that a very good one is LOS by Munjeni, so I decided to go with it (if I get the phone to work, I might as well go with a good ROM .
The instructions were clear, so first, what I did was:
- flash the openbootloader file to enable permanent recovery (flashed with Flashtool)
- flash recovery, I first went with TWRP provided on Munjeni's own page, but I could not use the touch interface, so I switched to CWM, since it offers physical button support (flashed with Flashtool)
- Then I copied the ROM (zip file) I downloaded from the same place to my microSD and inserted it into the phone.
- I wiped everything as required in the instructions
- I flashed the ROM from CWM
And voilĂ ! I can now boot into the ROM!
The only problem is that my touch screen is unresponsive, although the whole LCD/digitizer assembly is brand new
It seems the touch interface just does not work, since it is unavailable in both recoveries and in the ROM.
Anyway, this is probably it for this thread, since the issue being stuck on Sony logo and not booting is solved (well, it boots into a ROM, not stock, but that's beside the point). Hope this will help someone else in the future!
Cheers!

HELP! (sm g532m) pc doesn't recognize device, can't enter recovery mode either.

Hi everyone.
so, I'm new to this world of roms, but i've been playing with a samsung sm- g532m, is an old phone, don't use it anymore.
i've installed many roms in this phone with twrp and gone back to stock rom with odin, and until now everything went fine.
I installed the lineage 14.1 for this model, and it went smooth, it charged to the logo, then to the first settings, but after maybe 1 minute it restarts itself, and i have to do the same. no matter how fast i try to do that, when it's supposed to set everything, it restarts.
i've tried using odin but the pc doesn't recognise the device. it's not the usb cable, because i've used it with other phones and there's no problem.
i've tried goind to recovery mode, hard reset but nothing, the android logo the green thing doesn't show, it just start the phone to the lineage logo.
When i installed the rom with twrp, i checked that it would install the twrp...like i said, i'm new. don't know what went wrong.
I thank you guys in advance, and hope you can help me.

Did you follow the patching to not make it crashes every 90 seconds? That sounds like one.
Also, if you want to boot recovery from OS, install ADB on computer and do these quickly
> let it boot and unlock screen
> plug in USB and turn on file transfer
> on PC: adb reboot recovery
