[Q] Music keeps playing when answering phone call through bluetooth - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So when i hook up my phone to the my truck via bluetooth and im listening to music then the phone rings and i answer, the music keeps playing in the back and wont stop till i unlock the phone and press pause then when i hang up the call the google play app opens up instead of resuming my music from the current app, this used to work perfect with my old galaxy note but i havent figured out how to pause the music ive already looked in app settings and i see nothing regarding that. Any help is great. TIA

[Q] Stopping bluetooth music auto play

So there I am, getting in my car in the morning, ready to drive to work, I turn it on, get ready to pull out
OH MY GOODNESS SOME TECHNO I HAD ON THE NIGHT BEFORE IS AUTO BLASTING OVER BLUETOOTH
Yeah, that's the "feature" of having bluetooth media autoplay. Besides turning off all bluetooth media features is there a way to prevent Winamp or whatever other stock media player is on the phone from blasting away as soon as it connects?
(Rooted, Cyanogen 7)
Did you try clearing defaults for the applications in the applications menu?

No defaults set for Winamp or any other music application that I can find.
It's just when the Bluetooth connects it starts to play. Mine does it with Cyanogen, wife's phone does it with the stock Sprint Sense rom.
So I guess this is just one of those feature/bugs of Android that has no fix?
My dual BT headset turns on the stock HTC player whilst playing threw Winamp. It does this when I press play after a paused interruption. I'm using misfits speedy Rom and it happens to me. I can't set a default player either. Well i tried.

Has anyone solved this problem. It is rather annoying. I don't want to have to remove all the mp3's from my phone just to stop it from doing this.
I like to use Pandora for my radio, but everytime I turn on my car I have to take the time to tell the music player to knock it off...

Google Music bug streaming bluetooth

So I have been using and loving Google music and my 5,000 songs on cloud. I have found an irritating bug and am not sure if anyone has the same problem.
I have a head unit in my vehicle that is capable of streaming media via Bluetooth. Anytime I end a call Google music turns back on even after closing it. I have X it out in the notification slide down menu. I even went into running apps and force closed it. Keep in mind before I make the phone call Google music is not on, not in the notification bar and not in recently opened apps. And magically call ends on Bluetooth, and phone restarts Google music and starts playing in my car!
I don't think this happens if I I use google music with my headphones.

Well it really depends on the system in your car. Most systems I have dealt with (Ford sync, Toyota, Chrysler) automatically resume whatever song is playing if connected for Bluetooth audio. If you do not want audio playing through the phone you can just pause it using a command on the steering wheel or on the radio itself.

Yes it is supposed to resume whatever song is playing. i have ford sync for almost two years now and was using Pandora streaming plenty. If I exit Pandora or let me be even more specific, pause a song before I make a phone call, when I end the call the song stays paused or Pandora stays closed until I tell it otherwise. This is not the case for Google music. I press pause then song continues once call ends. I quit the program before call, song continues, force close before call song continues....Technically there should not be any song playing when I told it to stop in the first place.

Ghost Music Player

Ok, this was just damn strange - So my Nexus was in my pocket and I take it out. Out of no where, songs start playing that I have in my library without me having pressed any buttons. My first thought was maybe I accidentally hit a button and no big deal. So I open my current apps and see that the google music player wasn't even on. I launched the actual google music app to then stop the song from there and couldn't locate the "Now Playing" song either! So I was left with no other choice but to restart the phone!
Anyone else experience this one?
How odd. Do you have any other music/media players? Even possibly a file manager? Maybe there's a bug with one of them.

I have a very similar issue, but it occurs most often when I automatically connect to Bluetooth in my car. I use Spotify so it clashes with Google Music too and causes this scramble of both players playing music on top of each other.
But I am very curious about this too, although it pops up primarily on my bluetooth. Google Music will just begin playing songs and further more I don't ever use it or initiate it. After a while I will get an error saying "Music has unexpectedly stopped working".
I've also closed the app as much as possible in Settings>Apps so I don't understand why it keeps playing and showing up repeatedly.
I had this issue with the Google music player also, I use power amp pro as my main music player and one day music started to play, I checked power amp pro and nothing so then I checked Google music and that was the problem. I disabled Google music. Also Google music app was force closing on me ever few days don't know why.

[QUESTION] Google Play Music switches audio from headphones to speaker when unlocked

While playing music on my un-rooted Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII, every time I unlock my phone the music switches from the headphones I have plugged in to the phone's speaker. When I un-plug and re-plug he headphones or pause and play the music, it switches back into the headphones. This issue is very debilitating as I am often listening to music in quiet places and it's embarrassing when my music starts blaring. Thanks for your help.

I have the opposite problem. When I listen to music on my headphones the music switches to the speakers when the phone locks. I guess you never figured this out. I know my problem is due to the lockscreen app "Widget Locker". When I deactivate it the problem goes away. Guess I'll head over to the widget locker thread and poke around. I'm on an S3 as well.
Edit:
I found a cool workaround by using the Tasker app. I made a profile which disables Widget Locker when i plug my headphones in and enables it when i unplug them. Seems to work pretty flawlessly.
Do you have gapless playback??

HELP: A few issues with my Galaxy Watch

I was having issues with my Bluetooth headset not automatically activating with my watch when turned on, so unpaired an repaired it. Now, whenever I hang up on a call on my phone (not even using the watch) my watch starts playing music from the spotify app. This only happens if the spotify is set to "stream over wifi". Another fix is to quit the spotify app and turn on then off power saving mode. However if the spotify app is used again the issue comes back. It was fine until I did the Bluetooth repairing. I have uninstalled/reinstalled/ unpaired/repaired etc and this issue won't go away.
I use the running app on the phone. Shortly after I start running a graphic shows on the screen telling me to wear the watch on the outside of my wrist for the HR monitor. I am already doing this and always having to quit the notification which is annoying. It didn't do this when I first got the watch so I am wondering if an update has introduced it.
When playing music while I run (I now use music stored on the watch due to the spotify issue), sometimes it won't continue on with my playlist. It tends to stop after one song so I have to press play. I doesn't always do this. Even worse sometimes it will only play one song which I then have to keep hitting play to repeat. As I'm recording my run I can't exit the app to restart the music from the music app.
I use the voice memo app on the watch which syncs memos with the phone. For some reason when it syncs a memo it plays the notification sound on the phone about 20-30 times, so quickly some of them play over each other. It's like you've just received 20 odd messages all at once and is ridiculous.
While I like the watch overall I wish these issues could be fixed. Does anyone have any suggestions for any fixes?
