I tried to unlock the bootloader on my device a little over a week ago - bricked it completely.
Had updated HBOOT and everything went fine - 'success' message appeared, etc.... Then my handset died and it wouldn't switch back on; it just flashed on and off repeatedly when powered on and I couldn't stop it, unless I pulled the battery. Couldn't access bootloader, couldn't do anything.
Took it to the local Three shop and they wouldn't touch it. So, I chanced my luck with HTC and was upfront about what had happened, i.e. I'd started the bootloader unlock process using their own HTC Dev software.
I've just got the 'phone back and they had to replace the motherboard. Haven't charged me for picking it up, via UPS, the repair OR sending it back to me, also via UPS.
I had hoped they'd ship back with the bootloader unlocked but they haven't! Doh.
Ah well, can't complain. HTC have definitely earned my gratitude, though, and I'll no doubt stick with them in future. I've just got to remove all the crappy pre-loaded software again.
so i basically have a bricked phone damn i needed it only phone i have n probably will have for awhile i had so much important #'s , notes , ext... im clueless to either tell HTC the truth or just buy another android phone idk :/

You haven't even given details. Did you root? Custom ROM?
Try flashing an RUU.
My experience
This weekend I bricked my phone almost also.
Just installed a new version of my ROM to test and then it hanged or so.
When trying power on (normally and with volume down), nothing happened and I got the 3 vibrates.
I removed my SD card and then the phone would boot again
I really hope I don't get that anymore
BTW: my SD card is really old, around 2 years or more (so that may be the cause)
Format your SD card, then see if that works

hey guys, i have an acro S, its bootloader unlocked and rooted, with 6.2.b.0.211 firmware, a while ago i got an anoying notification saying that there is an update, so i tried to update but because its rooted it wouldnt update the normal way, then i flashed 6.2.b.1.96 kernel only, it was good for 2 weeks, but then today i got a red led, and screen was black, then i almost got a heart attack because i knew it was soft brick or something, i read about it and searched for fix, but after a moment when i tried letting the phone on wall charger till red light disapear, the screen went on, and every thing was normal, relef :victory: , so now i wanted the experts to know about that, and i want to ask for a stable way to get a rooted full 6.2.b.1.96 firmware, or the latest, or even a custom room if its better than the xperia one, tnx for reading and hope you all a brick free day XD
Hi everyone. My xperia was flashed with a stock kernel from another model in attempt to recover from a bootloop trying to install TrueAncestor GB Edition. My model is a R800at, but I had assumed it was the global model since it came in xperia packaging and not ATT pakcaging . So I flashed the rom and I thought it would work but it bootlooped. Tried lots of kernels and landed on a R800i stock kernel, which has now made my phone unable to flashmode, fastboot, or even turn on . No red LED of doom, but when I plug my phone in it makes the low pitch USB noise rather than the normal noise. I've tried my best and this is the only phone I've got for around a month when I'd be paid enough for a replacement if this is unrecoverable. Unfortunately, this means I am unable to receive contact from work, friends, family, etc. If anyone can help me you don't know how much I would appreciate it. Thanks for reading and I hope you geniuses can help this poor idiot who thought he could be a rom flashing master. :crying:

hi all,
yesterday my arc s suddenly stopped working and when i tried to turned it on it did not boot up (it just gives me the xperia screen).
i tried to charge the battery and remove it then plug it again but it still not working.
my phone was rooted and i was working with the Viper xperia rom for about 1 year.
now i don't know what to do . i've searched alot to know how to fix it but i got lost, cause i'm really noob in this field.
so please help and make your answer as simple as it could be.
thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.
My LG G3 stop to work, i touched on the screen but no answer just the LED flashed. I had to remove the battery, but when i turned it on just displayed the LG screen and stayed there. I changed the rom using flash tool for Lollipop, the cell phone turned on but song and some apps didn't work. I tried to install Kitkat version again, but it did work. The kitkat rom dont start on my cell phone.
Another problem is i have to keep my screen on all the time, if i do 2 taps on screen or press the on/off button the screen get off and nothing can make it on, just taking off the battery and turning on the cell phone again.
Please people help me. I know you are the best in the world and anyone here in Brazil could help me.
Sorry about the english i don't have a good one.

Hello. ?
I will write easy English so you understand.
Please go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 and read the first post [#1 message].
Follow the instructions CAREFULLY.
It will teach you how to get your phone back to KitKat.
You can also download the firmware KitKat for your phone model from there.
If you don't understand how to do it you can ASK FOR HELP to @hyelton or also to @raptor2003 on that thread.
They are both nice people who help lots of users. They will do their best.
I am trying to help you because I can imagine how you must feel with your phone.
Relax because your phone will be restored and OK.
Good luck. ?
